Introduction
The predecessor of the Barr Trading Company was the Sutherland Corporation, originally founded in Elysium in the 11th year of the Second Age (1807). The company was established by Daibhidh Sutharlainn, a member of Clan Sutherland, hailing from the small northern settlement of Sutherland, located beyond Norland.

For over 350 years, the Sutherland family has crafted a variety of beverages—both alcoholic and non-alcoholic—catering to different tastes, venues, and occasions. In time, the young Daibhidh Sutharlainn and his sister, Catrìona Sutharlainn, sought to expand beyond their homeland. Together, they founded their own trading company, with the goal of sharing their cherished family drinks across all of Almaris.

The Sutherland Corporation was ultimately dissolved following the fall of the Rathonian State in Almaris, coinciding with the passing of Sìonag Sutharlainn, the last owner of the Sutherland Corporation.

However, the Barr Clan, now led by Màiri Barrach, has since revived the enterprise under a new banner: the Barr Trading Company. Though rebranded, the company preserves the traditions, techniques, and heritage inherited from the old Sutherland Corporation, ensuring that the legacy of the Agnethe community continues to be shared throughout Azura.

Products

The Barr Trading Company is renowned for its diverse range of beverages, continuing the proud brewing and distilling traditions inherited from the Sutharlainn lineage. Among their offerings are ciders and beer intended for both humble taverns and refined feasting halls alike.

 

The Suther whiskies are renowned across the continent. Their signature line includes the elegant Waltzing Lady Whisky, Tarnavon Gold Malt, MacDonald Gold Malt, and the MacSeumas Whisky. Together, these spirits have earned the Barr Trading Company a reputation across the continent as one of the finest purveyors of traditional Agnethe whisky.
