The Mage-Ipanamese Accord

With the mutual agreement of the Crown of Ipanema and the Mage’s Guild, this accord establishes the official relationship between the two, ensuring mutual respect, protection, and advancement of both magical and civic affairs within the Oasis.

◈ Terms of the Accord

※ From this day forth, the Mage’s Guild shall be recognized as a vassal institution of the Golden State of Ipanema.

※ The Guild shall maintain full autonomy, preserving its internal laws, traditions, and rights to admit and train students of their choosing, with the exception of Darkspawn or enemies of the Golden State.

※ Members of the Mage’s Guild are encouraged, but not obliged to serve within the Ipanemese Army and the Horde of Many Tribes, lending their talents and knowledge to the defense and prosperity of the realm.

※ The Guild shall stand under the protection of the Golden State and the Horde. Any act of aggression against the Guild or its members will be regarded as an attack upon the Arch-Duchy itself.

※ The Three Archmages, responsible for managing the Mage’s Guild, shall retain their independence, free to pursue quests, missions, and research they deem of importance to both the Guild and the State.

※ In turn, the Mage’s Guild shall pay taxes to the Golden State of Ipanema and contribute to its development, offering counsel, education, and magical assistance where required.

◈ Final Provision

This accord shall remain in effect until amended or dissolved by mutual agreement between the Crown of Ipanema and the Archmages of the Guild.
