SINCE OUR GRAND CITY OF LOTHARIA WAS FOUNDED, FOLLOWING THE DESTRUCTION OF PORTOREIGNE, A PERIOD OF REBUILDING AND REGROWTH HAS TAKEN EFFECT. Both nobility and commoners alike have helped to recuperate the losses that once plagued the Lotharian peoples. In this, we draw towards stability and restoration of our daily lives. It is through hardship and dedication that a return to enjoyable courtly events, a steady military retinue, a firm diplomatic presence, and a regained financial standing has finally been made possible. All work of those dedicated to bolster Lotharia. 

 

THROUGHOUT THIS SIGNIFICANT ERA OF REBUILDING, IT HAS BEEN WELL SEEN THAT CERTAIN NOBLE HOUSES HAVE TAKEN TO THEIR DUTIES WITH IMMENSE PRIDE AND REVERENCE. Not only bringing it upon themselves to bolster the Grand Duchy, but also allowing their hard work to envelope their family name, and in time, allowing it to exude through kin and descendants alike. These actions exceed the station to which they are named. Therefore, the Ducal house of Basileus does ascertain the right in sending the following letters.⋅

 THE VISCOUNTY OF VELMOORE

IT IS BECAUSE OF THE SIGNIFICANT DEDICATION TO THE DEFENSE OF LOTHARIA THAT THE HOUSE OF GREYE SUCH FAVOR WITH THE DUCAL THRONE. Ser Aurellius Greye has stood both as soldier and guard for the realm of Lotharia since its fall. With his help, Ser Jean-Clément Vuiller has been able to restore order within the military of Grand Druchy. Furthermore, he has sought to the defense of not just our vassals, but also to defend mankind as a whole. Both Ser Aurellius and his sons have taken up arms against The Mountain and Savlo. He has done things whilst also protecting the Lotharian heir, now Grand Duke, Iohannis Basileus. 

 

Therefore, it is with great esteem that we raise the House of Greye to a status fit to bear a Viscountial title. With this, I, Iohannis I of Lotharia, do elevate Ser Aurellius Greye to be Viscount of Velmoore.

 

In addition, the Ducal Throne has seen fit to set upon the House of Greye the responsibility of protecting the frontiers and borders of our Grand Duchy. With this, Iohannis I of Lotharia, do place upon Ser Aurellius Greye to charge the defense of Lotharia and her territories, as a Marq-Viscount.

 THE BARONY OF HESSEX

 

THE HOUSE OF de SYLVA HAS STRIVED HARD TO ENCOURAGE STRONG RELATIONS IN LOTHARIA. Even before the remnants of Balian joined the Horde, Lucius de Sylva helped to create good relations between the Orcs and Humans. Even now, the House of de Sylva seeks to better the people of Lotharia as well as uphold the Horde. Furthermore, the benefits of Silverheart have been effectively demonstrated in Aevos, with Lucius de Sylva at its head. With a strong trade partnership, the Lotharian-Silverheart agreement shall surely bring success. 

 

Therefore, it is with great esteem that we raise the House of de Sylva to a status fit to bear a Baronial title. With this, I, Iohannis I of Lotharia, do elevate Lucius de Sylva to be Baron of Hessex.

Though the Ducal Throne takes no pleasure in watching titles diminish under the sunlight, it is the duty of the one who reigns to hold these vassals accountable. It is the hope of the Ducal Throne that these houses, following this proclamation, shall reinvigorate their commitment towards Lotharia- drawing upon strengths for a better future.

DEMOTIONARY LETTERS FOR

 THE DUCHY OF AQUILIAE

 

THE HOUSE OF VUILLER HAS BEEN A STAPLE HOUSE SINCE THE DAYS OF THE EMPIRE. THEY HAVE FOUGHT FOR BALIAN SINCE ITS BIRTH AND STRIVE TO UPHOLD ITS VALUES. In the latter days of Balian, however, the house was torn in two between the newly forming empire and the Kingdom that has known its home. This split has left the house vulnerable for many years, and while Ser Jean-Clement Vuiller has worked tirelessly to renew traditions in the Lotharian military, as well as bring forth a new realm of Knights, the state of the house has diminished since it’s glory days. Seeing this, the Grand Duke approached the house, and they reached an agreement. 

 

It is with great solemnity, but pulled by sense of duty that we demote the House of Vuiller to a status fit to bear a countial title. Therefore I, Iohannis I of Lotharia, do strip Godrick Vuiller of their ducal status, reverting them to that of a Count. 

 

Let it be known that any and all titular titles that the house members hold shall continue to be held by those members.

DEMOTIONARY LETTERS FOR

 THE VISCOUNTY OF EDEROCA

 

THE HOUSE DE LYONS HAS BEEN A FIERCE ADVOCATE FOR LOTHARIA, MANY OF ITS MEMBERS SERVING AS A MARTIAL FORCE TO DEFEND BALIAN, NOW LOTHARIA. Ser Theodore de Lyons has remained a steadfast protector and has fought for Lotharia against both Man and Mountain several times. However, the house has fallen solely upon his shoulders. The weight of such this burden, coupled with the attention that must be upon the court is a burden that is difficult to bear. And so it is, that the Ducal Throne believes it best that a small weight be lifted off so that the house may begin a state of regrowth and recuperation. 

 

It is with great solemnity, but pulled by sense of duty that we demote the House of de Lyons to a status fit to bear a baronial title. Therefore I, Iohannis I of Lotharia, do strip Ser Theodore de Lyons of their Viscountial status, reverting them to that of a Baron.

OVER THE LAST SEVERAL DECADES, THE HOUSE OF TUVIA HAS STRUGGLED WITH FINDING A FOOTING IN THE BALIANESE, THEN LOTHARIAN COURT. Their absence, often plagued by intense bouts of illness within their family, has significantly impacted their ability to contribute to the Lotharian initiative. However, after some deliberation with Lady Calliope Tuvia, it was decided best that the House of Tuvia should let loose their titles so that the family might not bear the burden of nobility any longer. 

 

It is with great solemnity, but pulled by sense of duty that we demote the House of Tuvia to a status fit to bear no titleage. Therefore I, Iohannis I of Lotharia, do strip Lady Calliope Tuvia of their Baronial status, reverting them to that of a commoner. 

 

Let it be known that any and all titular titles that the house members hold shall continue to be held by those members.
