Wolfy-D 473 Popular Post Share Posted November 16, 2025 [!] A missive anonymously spread throughout the realms Azuras. To all realms, kingdoms, tribes, clans, and peoples not yet under the banner of the Empire: The world is changing, and too many choose not to see it. Norland’s fall is well known. The Empire marched on them, confronted their king and council and forced their leadership to yield. Since then, imperial soldiers have taken up the role of protectors, and an imperial governor has been placed to oversee the lands. They paint their motives as noble, they defend their actions as necessities, but one should expect nothing less from tyrants. Far more unsettling, Haelun'or's fate. In recent eras the high elves isolated themselves in dedication to their guiding ideal of maehr’sae hiylun’ehya, meaning progress and health. The foremost of Haelun'orian hospitality, their Eternal Library, open to all, and any, who sought the quiet shaping of their own minds, and the peace and stability brought with it. When threatened by Caurost, Haelun’or sought safety through vassalage under Idunia, believing diplomacy would preserve their people. Instead their leaders and any citizens who wished to bear witness were summoned into Idunia’s throne room. When the gathering concluded, Haelun’or no longer existed. Some may still call these conspiracies. But the evidence is clear. They are warnings. The Empire speaks of unity. i have called it tyranny once before, and will call it tyranny once again, do not be deceived by the empire's silver tongue. If you are a leader of a free nation, or simply one who values the safety of your home, understand this: You are not safe because the Empire has not reached you yet. You are safe because the Empire has not chosen you yet. The rest of the world can no longer afford to ignore what has been happening. Norland relied on the empire's decency, Haelun'or, their diplomacy. Both were wrong and paid the price in blood. This is no call to arms, no rabble-rouser. I only urge you this: Be wary of these Imperials, their two-faced diplomacy, their cheap promises, be wary and take them not at face value. What has happened to others, will happen to you. On your guard! Signed, The one who has seen plainly their lies.
Werew0lf 24181 Share Posted November 17, 2025 "You are correct in all your points," Hadrian spoke calmly to himself within his bedchambers, holding a candle near the parchment.
NotEvilAtAll 10906 Share Posted November 17, 2025 Isabelle Applebrook, a halfling from Amberdell, receives a copy of this missive "All big peoples 'r evil. They lie, chea', an' steal everythin' from our barns 'n burrows!"
Customable 305 Share Posted November 17, 2025 The young, masked Oscillit held the missive with contempt- a missive that spoke of imperials all too well, as she understood them. An unstoppable force without an immovable object; she knew this was a message to the flames. Even in warning, blood spills to the hands of those who seek nothing but in this realm. She let the paper fall to the mud of the path and walked on without a word, leaving the warning to rot. "..."

Borin 7646 Share Posted November 17, 2025 "Is it not amusing how Haense-folk are sat minding their own business in the Empire now, and those who united against Haense to bring about this Empire are now whining about the inevitable, easily foreseen consequences of a united humanity? Is it not also true that all this will not end in organised armed resistance, as the Elves are such a docile, foolish race, all talk and no action?" Brother Anton discusses with his fellow monastics

Calise11 841 Share Posted November 17, 2025 A raven appeared, carrying a discarded bit of paper. Eistalyn furrowed her brows before turning it over. After the many sheets the collectomanic bird had stolen from travellers past. Love letters lost - missives and trade deals of bread and sourdough... She knew not how to keep the bird from stealing. But as this was dropped by a loosening of the beak. a thumb and finger pinched at it. It was visually digested with a grimace. She turns to hand it over to Fennrick before pinning it to a wall somewhere in the Deep North, "May the Spirits an Gods have mercy on all those who do not agree with the empire."
