I don't know the context to this Lotharia stuff or who the players involved are frankly, but only doing RP and taking directions that has the explicit support of older players of a community or is intended to uphold their OOC vision is how communities become sleeper mode (like Haelunor and Halflings) and stupid years-long prejudices persist (like Oren vs Norland) to the point that the community just becomes an echo chamber that parrots old players who want to feel important. If a group of players want to try something interesting even if it's contrary to what some players like, it's within their right.
