Devour Redlines

- It takes 1 emote to exert their aura, where it will seep out as an ectoplasmic fog from their bodies though a Paleknight may indicate their passive 15-block Devour effect through PMs with it being described as an emotional effect rather than a physical effect either in the descriptive text of the emote itself or in square brackets []. This allowance of PM indication of Devour can ONLY be done for the passive 15-block effect and NOT for either physical contact or Eidola Keep-related Devour usage.

Reason

Spoiler

The reasoning for this amendment is:

Through an interaction I had a few weeks back, I realized that I misinterpreted the Devour mechanics. When I first read about Devour and realized it would be a neat tool to descriptively set the ambience for certain places I frequented & create settings that felt haunting; I would PM people if I came into the 15 block range (though Line of Sight is not explicitly required, I would take screenshots of seeing people whether out in the open, through windows, etc for paper-trail & good faith purposes). I initially thought the abovementioned redline had to do with using Devour specifically when making physical contact with the person for extracting soul fragments at an Eidola's Keep. I now understand that the #rp * emote is required for Devour in all circumstances and have been abiding by that.

I am requesting consideration for this amendment based on both personal experience & a conversation I had with Tawantinsuyin Discord members who explained that sensory illusion magic permits /t [player] the mental effects of whatever spell you may be utilising. From my personal experience, I notice some players inherently interpret #rp * emotes as physical actions or physically affecting magic whereas Devour is an emotional effect. Usually, /t [player] helps convey that what is happening to their character is not physical, but rather emotional and/or mental.

Until such an amendment is made (if deemed appropriate to amend), I have and will continue to use the #rp * emote even for the 15-block range passive Devour. Thank you for your consideration!
