THE FATE OF BELETH

TO ALL CITIZENS OF THE HORDE,

Betrayal in the midst of War is not something that is to be tolerated by the Horde. Neither by a tributary, a citizen, or an ally. Violating the good faith I had placed upon him, Peter the Disgraced has turned his cloaks and attempted to surrender his people to the clutches of the Empire despite the overwhelming popular disagreement from his own subjects.

This was known to me before even his own public missive. Even then, he was five steps behind, as I had already declared Beleth dissolved in the Hordeklamor a day prior to his official treasonous decree. The Krughai have already been dispatched to keep a firm grasp upon the once-lands of Beleth, as well as loyal militias of the three cities which were once sworn to Beleth’s banner.

Thus, the following edicts are made;

  1. I, Torosh’Mak, Rex of the Horde, once again affirm the dissolution of the Belethian Federation. The House of Rovare is stripped of its royal titleage.

  1. The former uniform of Beleth worn by the Belethian Federal Army is hereby outlawed, and all who wear it will be killed on sight.

  1. The House of Rovare is to be dissolved within the Hordelands. Any who lay claim to the name while existing on Horde territory will be killed on sight.

  1. The City of Southspire shall be placed under control of the loyal Gunthrum, once of the House of Rovare, for his part in securing his people’s loyalty after his Father’s treason. Gunthrum shall be named Duke of Southspire, with his tribe swearing full fealty to the Horde of Many Tribes.

  1. The City of Anatis shall hold elections to determine its new ruler overseen by the Horde of Many Tribes. The Republic of Anatis, led by a new Serene Doge, shall swear direct fealty to the Horde of Many Tribes and become a member-tribe.

  1. The City of Ipanema shall remain in the hands of the sitting Governor, Inigo, to be passed to his heirs following a pledge of fealty to the Horde of Many Tribes.

  1. All former vassals of Beleth must renew pledges of fealty to the Horde of Many Tribes or face eviction from the Badlands.

  1. Peter the Disgraced must be captured alive and handed over to the authority of the Horde of Many Tribes, where he shall be blood-eagled by my own hand. A bounty of 500 mina is placed on his head.

  1. Those who remain loyal to Peter the Disgraced, shelter his followers, or provide him aid shall suffer equally gruesome deaths.

"Trying to save face, but you supported Peter's actions until it turned out that what everyone told you would happen, happened. I did not take an URUK to be as backstabby, cowardly and slimy as human noblemen with nothing to lose.remarked the spiteful Prince of Ba'as, the young Nafis IV, before returning to his training! Soon, he would be in the field of battle against the savages of the Horde.

Maddock was at a meeting where he learned most of this prior...but he knew this wasn't the end.

The Lord's Work was never done.

He prepared himself for what he was going to become.

His body had been rebuilt.

His spirit had been revitalized.

His mind had been reformed.

Now...it was time to slay a dragon.

In another life, another time. The woman recalled her youth, the days where happiness was not so far out of reach. The missive reached her with amusement, though fleeting as it could never quite breach the deep and profound sadness now.

“Nothing was ever meant to stay the same, I suppose. Long gone are the days I pretended to care about these human politics. Doesn’t mean I don’t derive some amount of humor from the turn of events. Good, I hope to see Peter felled. He deserves it. That’s my life no longer, but it’s still good to know justice is served. May our paths never cross again, Peter Rovare. Nor your disgraced kin. Goodbye and good riddance. A chapter of my life, finally at a close.”

Arc-Ser Aelyn Greye received the missive from his home in Ildon, an owl pecking at his window as he got up to let it in. Taking the note, the Mali'ker's usually calm face turned into one of pure joy, a grin plastered across his face. Hearing of Peter's and all of Beleth's downfall was the happiest Aelyn had ever been

"GOD truly is good."

Dorin would see the missive on his travels around the mines, and would wonder what the armor of the beleths looked like to land an arrow into it when he could

"Kusi, what is a blood eagle...?"

Vladrik's diamond hues traced every word that rested on the parchment, which was between his digits. A small sigh had escaped his lips before he set the paper down on his desk. "Such a sad sight, another man consumed by his own greed for power. . .nothing new. Let us speak truth: that man was nothing more than a serpent, sinking his teeth into any man that he could sinking his poison-filled fangs to trick others to lay claim to whatever he could." - "Despite his awful choices, I do hope the man has enough time to pray, begging GOD for forgiveness." Once such claims escaped beyond the Kovachev's lips, he rose the document over a lit candle, allowing the flames of the wax crafted stick to lay claim to the paper, leaving nothing but ash within the tray that the candle sat in and a faint line of smoke within the air of the room.

"A punishment one does not live to endure." replied the young Tawantinsuyin, washing his tunic from savage blood.

“I thought we were past the days of blood eagling,” Commented Anastasia from the sidelines.

"I think the Rex needs a personal scribe, this missive just looks like another dark spawn missive calling for the death of someone, especially the blood eagling. It just looks extremely barbaric."

The Kharajyr, a Specter and trustworthy advocate for Grommash and his successors afterward, said this within his chambers. He lifted a missive to a large open floor to sink into the pale water. The creature rubbed his eyes, frustrated at the fact.
"I will speak with him, surely killing the Belethian Traitor will just cause us more resources. He will die in a bunker somewhere, because even when Southspire existed, he was never around to watch it grow."

The Kha' took the missive from the pale water and saw the ink dissipate from it. He smiled before drying such paper to use later for more missives or maybe even drawing.
