The Commonwealth of the Petra is proud to announce a Royal Hastilude to be hosted at the Riviènse Lists, which stands ready to welcome competitors from all across the continent for a grand spectacle of skill, chivalry, and camaraderie.

 

This event will feature not only the traditional joust, where riders shall test their courage and prowess, but also a series of mounted games to be tested by those brave enough to partake, each designed to challenge both aim and cooperation. From precision strikes on horseback to tandem challenges that require a partner’s unwavering trust, the Hastilude promises an exhilarating display of equestrian mastery.

The Joust

At the Riviènse Lists, each jousting match will consist of five tilts, where knights will charge at one another with wooden tourney lances with the aim to unseat their opponent. Victory will go to the first competitor to successfully unhorse their rival, showcasing both skill and precision. However, should all five tilts pass without a clear winner, the competitors must dismount and resolve their contest with a clash of fists, proving their mettle and determination beyond the saddle. This combination of tradition and grit ensures that each bout is as thrilling as it is decisive, embodying the spirit of Pétrine valor.

Let it be known that the prize-pot for the joust stands at over 1,000 MINAS!

Rules of the Joust

1. Honor Above All: Competitors must conduct themselves with respect and decorum, upholding the chivalric spirit of the joust.
2. Fair Conduct: Lances will be inspected prior to the competition to ensure no tampering. Wooden tourney lances must be used for safety.
3. Rounds: Matches will be conducted in elimination rounds, with riders securing their win by unhorsing their opponents.
4. Victory Conditions: The competitor with the most points or the last unhorsed rider will be declared the winner of their match.

The Wandering Laird obtains a folded paper airplane of this missive at the Petra tourney ground after practicing with and teaching a few of the nobles and royals, feeding it to their book which then reads the contents to them. Content to see it is set at a time when they may be available, plans to attend are made. For mina and their generational visit.

Once home, the missive is also shown to their wife Blanca. "You can meet the newest Renildes and Amelies and Matthews and the others!"
