With the passing of Emperor Hadrian ‘the Conqueror’, an era has come to an end. His Imperial Majesty’s life has ended on His own terms and in His own way; a way we must all respect.

He died at the pinnacle of His power; the pinnacle of Imperial Might. His legacy leaves a heavy burden for Us to carry, but carry it we shall. Before We can retrieve the mantle of Rulership, however, We are bound by duty to perform one last service for our late Emperor. In accordance with the rite of mourning, a bereavement period spanning eight Saint’s days shall be observed. Citizens are duly expected to don dark garb and flags are to be hoisted only at half-mast.

The Month of Sun’s Smile | Sunday, 29th of March
 

The Memorial | at 4 pm EST
His Imperial Majesty, Marcus I calls upon all citizens of the Empire to join Him in paying Emperor Hadrian their last respects. The ceremony shall take place in the month of Sun’s Smile, whereupon we shall gather in the throne room of the Celosian Palace. Father Corswain shall lead all in prayer to speak Our final farewells to Emperor Hadrian’s memory. 

 

The Wake | at 5 pm EST
After the ceremony in the throneroom has concluded, all attendees are welcomed to join Us in the Celosian Palace for food and drink in a somber gathering to feast, converse, and remember Emperor Hadrian’s life and his numerous, great achievements. Though all citizenry are welcome, evil-doers and ill-wishers shall be dealt with accordingly.
