To the Citizens of Idunia, and those of the allied nations, and the residents of Azuras,

It has been through the ages of Barrowton to the High Kingdom of Idunia that the revelry and activity of jousting has ever been a prominent practice among the Idunians. Whilst originally such entertainment had once been a practice of those of the Knights, through the likes of their chivalrous acts, it is now commonly practised between all ages and rankings, as a form of merriment: whether it be a cause for celebration, or simply to lift the spirits of the Realm’s people.

Let it be proclaimed across the realms, by the Will and Patronage of the High King of Idunia, Tar-Pharazôn, that a grand Joust is to be held in the fairgrounds of the capital of Idunia, Alduun!

This grand event shall be held on

FRIDAY, MAY 29ND - STARTING AT 7 PM EST!

STARTS AT 7:15 PM EST

Hosted by His Lordship, Rónahón Vourkehardt, this tournament shall be held to the standard Idunian rules!

From the acts of chivalry and honour, it is encouraged by all to joust in favour, whether it is to declare it for the intentions of a sir or maiden’s hand, or for the righteous and honourable House or Kingdom. Boldly proclaim it, for those who succeed in their jousting feat shall truly be honoured amongst all present at the festivity.

SINGLE ELIMINATION!

  • One knock-off per round!
  • Re-attempt until someone is knocked off.
  • No second chances!

A betting pool will be set up to allow betting!

Betting shall be conducted by His Lordship to wager on who shall reign over the contestants at the revelry. Those who shall bet amongst the pool can wager a minimum of 20 mina. Those who lose their bets may not bet again and will ultimately lose what is wagered. Should more than one win in the pool, the total amount shall be split amongst them. It is advisable to play and bet wisely, not recklessly!

PRIZE

150 Mina for the Grand Winner!

Whoever wins amongst all those present in the tourney, presenting their jousting skill and prowess, shall be granted a gracious 150 mina and be rewarded with a statue within the fairgrounds in honour of winning! Though, should someone win the next tournament, they might find their statue replaced...

Contact Rónahón Vourkehardt BEFORE 12 PM EST May 28th to sign up!

"... Only one-hundred-fifty Minas for the winner of a royal joust?" Princess Mattea scoffs, recalling the several hastiludes of Petra's past where the grand prize had been well over one-thousand minas, plus a trophy of some sort. "I suppose the victor will have to consider their prize to be honor and recognition."

”Auntie,” The Archduchess tsk’d as she folded a woven blanket, handing it to her young son who promptly unfolded it in favor of having a cape. “There’s naen need for the passive aggression. It is for the benefit of the Kingdom’s people and for good hearted sportsmanship, after all.”

The phantom gazed at the missive, and slowly the gears in his head began to turn.
