[Amendment] Naz 2-Time DC (PK Edition)

PURPOSE:

While I'm rather new to the Naz community at large, it's no secret that since 1-time DC was implemented and the mass DC wars happen, the presence of Naztherak has been greatly diminished. I was spitballing ideas in my coven's Discord, and the one that came up was this: Allowing Naztherak to have 2 connections for free is entirely opposed to the themes of the magic. If your soul is already damned, then it costs nothing at all to become connected again! But the new DC clause, while more thematically appropriate, has resulted in a mass culling of the Naztherak community. This amendment seeks to bring it back to a middle-ground.

The purpose of this amendment is twofold: Allow some slack back into Naztherak, and provide a compelling choice for people wishing to go "all in" without having to pivot fully to Moroi, Zar'ei, or a Deific magic.

OLD:

Spoiler

Not to be taken lightly or as an escape from the hells, this ritual consumes the magic slots given to Naztherak while removing the ability to use the magic, scarring the soul as it does so.

This ritual requires either one Zar’akal and two Naztherak or five Naztherak, two of which are T5. To perform this ritual, a group must draw a pentacle with rakir and place the unfortunate Naztherk in the center. From there, each Naztherak would stand within a corner of the pentacle before channeling their malflame and maleus into the center. Once all the flames converge upon the center and then the victim, they would flow over and throughout the brand, burning away the slots of magic and permanently damaging the soul.

Redlines:
- Does not require OOC consent.
- Leaves malflame burns atop the disconnected Naztherak’s brand.
- Does not give back the slots already given to the magic, these are permanently lost.
- Cannot be used in combat.
- If used upon a Zar’akal, their ability to cast malflame and summon Inferi would become inert for 1 OOC month, as they cannot be disconnected. Other abilities such as boons + banes, rituals that do not require malflame (including rites in Infernal Blood Magic), etc remain functional.
-Zar'akal who this rite is performed upon may not cast or use the Naztherak magic for this time period, such as casting malflame, making cursed idols, imbuing objects, etc.
-Results in the denial of one’s Naztherak MA.
- Requires either 5 Naztherak with two of them being T5 or 1 Zar’akal and 2 Naztherak.
- Is a somewhat freeform ritual that takes a minimum of 6 multi-lined emotes in total.
- After disconnection, Ilzakarn will be slowly forgotten over the next ooc day.
- The brand caused by disconnection may not be purged like other malflame burns, it is a permanent reminder of your past history.
- Should this ritual be interrupted via combat, it will fail as malflame rushes around the room and those involved.
- Any Naztherak may learn this ritual and teach it to others via word of mouth regardless of tier.
- A disconnected Naztherak may not reconnect to the magic whatsoever, it is a permanent defeat and testament of weakness in the eyes of the Rokul.

- This ritual is unique and a Naztherak does not have to know this to submit a TA.
- A Disconnected Naztherak’s [CA] Inferi are immediately considered unbound and are aware of such at the conclusion of the disconnection ritual, and should be notified.

A disconnected Naztherak may only be reconnected once. When doing so, all magic slots are consumed, in effect limiting reconnected Naztherak to [4] magic slots which may only be used for Naztherak. These magic slots may not be recovered in any way.

- Should a Naztherak be Disconnected a second time, they are irrevocably PK'd as the final offerings of their souls are torn asunder.

- This ritual is unique and a Naztherak does not have to know this to submit a TA.
- A Disconnected Naztherak’s [CA] Inferi are immediately considered unbound and are aware of such at the conclusion of the disconnection ritual, and should be notified.

Bridge is crossed, that and go back to the initial amendment post for the reason as to why it only makes sense for it to be a one time DC, just because a magic lacks players does not mean it needs to have a even worse clause put into the MA, if the lack of naz was this big of an issue ST would have injected some back into the map - Even then there are plenty of Akal able to teach the magic, it's just no one wants it

what middle ground? not even two days ago did ET host an event with about 20 naz/inferi/akal in attendance, and that doesnt even account for the naz who chose not to come. perpetuating the idea that the community is suffering due to maybe four or five consecutive disconnections is false, and whats more likely to have happened instead is that people have gone into hiding and have been covering their tracks - but this doesnt at all reflect a playerbase thats been "diminished"

also PKing people on a second DC.. im confused as to what this amendment is trying to accomplish. this is overly punishing and should not be the type of leverage people have over one another

i worry this would just become a method of force pk'ing people and i think player agency and choosing when to pk is really important
