Lancer_Vance 0 Share Posted December 1, 2011 ((I honestly have gotten used to the Dwarven Language from certain books. i.e. The Dwarves books by Markus Heitz. Also the Dwarven words from the Eragon series of books. Quite interesting indeed.)) ((For example: What do you want Dragon Rider? Hert is joc frekk jurgencarmeitder? like that..)) Lancer_Vance 0 Share Posted December 2, 2011 ((Back to the topic at hand. If your coming up with dwarven language for the server as a main, then count me in, I bet I could come up with a few words, after I look at the other languages as well and make sure I don't take anything thats already taken.)) dograap19 15 Share Posted December 2, 2011 ((if we just had heavy dwarven accents like Flynn, then I don't think we need a whole new language))
MuffineyGoodness 19 Share Posted December 5, 2011 I think it would be cool to have a few phrases in dwarvish. But a full language seems unnecessary.
hassman 0 Share Posted December 5, 2011 why cant we just 'ave a kind of scottish, irish accent? And cockney English. Cockney English: "El-lo mate how are ye doin?" Aberdeen Scottish: Eylo mayt what's da story bud? Not sure for irish but hell Ey'ya mate whatsa happening with you laddie? I find all three of these very similer to the speech of a Dwarf. However when i watch lord of the rings, it really confuses me as Gimly talks normaly more or less and you don't really hear any other Dwarf.
Phlex 0 Share Posted December 23, 2011 bump, i still think this would be a cool addition.

xett2 1 Share Posted December 25, 2011 I would agree too scottish, irish accent. And some cool dwarf words from warhammer, lord of the rings etc. For example the battle cry "Baruk Khazâd! Khazâd ai-mênu!"* or just "Baruk Khazâd!" is epic if people would shout out at war. * "Baruk Khazâd! Khazâd ai-mênu!" Meaning "Axes of the Dwarves! The Dwarves are upon you!" from The Lord of the Rings

Phlex 0 Share Posted December 25, 2011 ((I'm so bad with remembering languages.....)) Maybe if you were hearing/seeing people constantly saying it, that'll inadvertently, while purposely, somewhat help people to learn or kinda remember the Dwarven language.
