Bah, will we at least be able to solo in old world? I'm not one to group with people a lot.

Band together or Die...the Base I made in the Verge is being torn apart by ghasts, at least I made it mostly out of StoneBricks.

We want to promote more interaction of players; you HAVE to work together to be able to take on mobs, that's the whole point of community :P.

This makes no sense whatsoever. Forgive me for sounding rather short but I am annoyed that the rp has been thrust forward by gms or moderators-let it's have it's own pace! The skill system is a quite reliable way to dictate whether a skilled warrior can take on multiple foes or if many adventurers will have to band together. THIS WORKS. WHY CHANGE IT? Player debuffs just ruin everyone's rp, especially people who have characters that are great warriors, but now they can't kill a blue spider because their diamond sword "isn't powerful enough" (I could really write a few more paragraphs on this alone but...)?

The ridiculousness is starting to compound in upon itself. The rp should not be pushed forward, the point of this community is rp-not everyone finding strangers to fight mobs with. There are times when it would be great to take on foes together and then time when one character could do it alone.

This however brings me to my next point of irritation: Monster loot. If we are promoting rp then why institute the most meta institution possible-monster gear?

These are sensible things for a monster to drop:

  • Monster Skulls-can be used to mount on mantles or sell to collectors. A great stimulant to rp.
  • Monster Hides/bones-Can be used to craft special weapons and armor, also valuable to merchants and craftsmen.
  • Venom from Spiders- Can be used to coat arrows or swords, making them more deadly in combat.
  • Trinkets or maybe a map that it may have ate or something similar- for quests.

Things a monster should NOT drop unless it's carrying it in its mouth:
  • Armor
  • Weapons
  • Ammunition (usable at least)
  • Books

I seem like a perpetual naysayer, yes I know. I'm not calling anyone out specifically, my only problems are with the changes themselves. <3

EDIT: Ok I see that you made a post Vaquxine-what did you fix exactly?

Most of the things you suggested for loot are impossible without client-side mods or are already implemented. As for the skill system it id down.

I'm simply saying that those are things that would make sense as opposed to what currently exists which makes none.

So the skill system is down, wait till it gets back up, but don't hinder player performance even more with debuffs!

Misses every other hit. It's near impossible to kill.

Hitting a cave spider with a diamond sword; "You need a powerful weapon to fight this monster".

its tougher but you can still kill them. actually i've enjoyed it like this we have been hunting "flying tents" as i call them as well as spiders. Having it hard in the verge is what it's all about i feel.

I can see the way you're looking at it, vaq.

Maybe increase the durability of all armor to compensate for its quick expenditure?

I have little interest in the verge as of now, but I should be able to fight alone in the old world. Miss system and "Sword is too weak" thing is just rediculous.
