[[ I think we used to have those called the Sqiftfeet or something with Swift in its name guild. I believe they were a scouting group. So bringing that back could be a +. Im sure they still have there guild house aswell.

The problem I found when in the wardens was that all the leaders got on at one time. They never elected someone from other time zones to control the people in other time zones. as well as the lower ranks are not allowed to do much without an officer so even if they find a problem they may not be allowed to deal with it.

That could easily be remedied. Do as the US armed forces currently do:

Highest available rank takes charge

If same rank, the one with time in grade takes charge.

If promoted same day, one with time in service takes charge.

If all of the above are the same and joined the same day, the oldest takes charge.

If all the above are still the same, draw straws or flip a coin (don't quote me on this one hehe.

This means if a group of initiates are all that is available, whomever joined the Wardens first is in charge.

It goes back to communication. There's a bit lacking at the moment. Then again I don't see many wardens about much anymore. Might be looking into a IC solution.

That could work in theory - but most ranks are forbidden from doing anything without express permission from the Highborns.

They could nix that.

I never understood why initiates were even in the Wardens to begin with. "I'm an initiate!" is all they can do or say. When something happens, you're better off relying on a non-warden because the initiates' hands are tied unless they have permission to do something.

It may seem that way but the role of being an initiate with restrictions is to teach the RP character ( not the player ) how the Wardens are run and handled. Point is to RP. Would you send a volunteer of a RL army into war without training? Do you just hire a policeman without giving him training on what to do? No.... he would probably arrest people at random.

The Wardens leadership is currently collecting data and wants from both the citizens and the from the Wardens of Malinor. The purpose of this is to understand what the populace wants from their Military and how we should react to their wants and needs. No ones perfect but believe me as im speaking for the Wardens.... we are most positively trying.

No they are sent to Basic Training, which is segregated from the rest of the armed forces And the civilian populace. When they leave basic (for infantry, their basic is a little longer), its not uncommon for them to go straight overseas (but it is a time of war still).

I think the main complaint I have is the number of initiates far far far outweigh the number of full fledged wardens, so there's not any of them to supervise or train. I've seen members that were initiates when I first joined the server, are still initiates today. And the numbers of active wardens (both regular and initiates) seems to be dropping.

To make a long story short, the wardens need more leadership positions filled if they are going to function as Malinor's militia. They aren't being relied on for Laurelins defense, the citizens are doing that themselves.

Right which is why I am saying we cant just promote an initiate to Guard without him being trained on how we do things. Yes the leadership and the actual Warden population is greatly diminishing but is that really our fault? Who are we to stop them from their IRL business?

Being a Warden holds several responsibilities and if the citizens were really watching the undead battles and the scouting parties going in and out of laurelin every day then they would not be complaining as they have been. We are the finest military in Aegis but we are by no means perfect but with the uncertainty of the 1.0.0 map and were the Wardens will go in the new server/map its hard to keep an active base. That is why we are relying on you and the citizens of Malinor to help us by joining the Military to help protect Malinor and it's citizens.

My character is trying to do her part in protecting Malinor, its just not everyone is suited for throwing on armor and waving a sword. But she is trying to do what she can at the least with the talents that she possesses. Though it sort of requires Native to be present so it will need to wait till he's done with MineCon. We're in the same boat in that regard, RL stuff is hindering, so I understand and not trying to blame.

I'm only merely pointing out the areas I see weakness in. You're right in that it isn't the fault of the wardens either ICly or OOCly. But things can be done by actively recruiting. It doesn't need to be a warden that goes out and recruits, elves can hint to other elves to help with the wardens. In fact I think my character Sythra is responsible for getting at least two to join. As well as trying to help them in other ways such as information.

Believe me, anything I say, do, or suggest is to make the might of the elves even better  Cause we are the best.
