An Elven High Prince has to, by definition be an elf. I have no problem with other races or Bircalin himself but this logically, could never work. I don't care how Elven he is, the leader of an entire race can't be of a different race.

If you would fight on the ranger's side then I do not trust you to be Hogh Prince. The leader of a nation has to be devoted to that nation, not off maybe giving away information we do no want Oren to know. If Oren ever attacked the elves, would you turn on the place you have spent you life in in just a second. That is not the dedication of a High Prince.

Should a war with Oren be waged, I would seek a diplomatic solution. I'd fight as a Ranger if there was trouble with the Dwarves.

There is things that an elf can do at a human will never be able to.

He can live among us, but will not be one of us, we open arms to all, but we do not open power to all.

Love is something that will for ever bond the two, and nobody will stand between that. But we must follow ethics. He can be an advisor. But not a Highprince..

I respect the choice that the council make, BIrcalin seems nice, and I know Indelwehn is lovely, even though she addresses wardens on top of MY shop.

THe council are the most wise, and genius group of elves in the whole of Aegis. I am sure they will make the right choice.
