Agnub 605 Share Posted December 7, 2011 The humans have never really respected the Orcs. As High Chancellor and High Priest in the good'ole'days, one of my main challenges was to persuade the powerful people in Oren to not hate the Orcs. Unfortunately I failed and many went on to disrespect and belittle Krugmar. If the roles were reversed the humans would not come to the aid of Krugmar under the current leadership (Oren's leadership). Just food for thought. DecoLamb 959 Share Posted December 7, 2011 Of course they wouldn't and in all honesty, I want to smash in the teeth of many non orcs. However I have been taught that even in the face of adversaries spitting venom and hate, a touch of kindness can be shown. I am but a weak half breed, I will admit it. It doesnt mean I wont take up arms and fight with all I have though. I will stand for what I think is right, even if some of my people cannot understand me, I will persevere, and do my best to end the cycle of hate. Think little of me if you wish, for I am very small by the standards set before me. But I think my heart, and my actions, will speak loudly enough to satisfy me. Call me foolish, call me a bleeding heart, call me asinine, call me crazy. But I offered my hand, as small as it is, and that is what counts in my eyes. Noahjam325 53 Share Posted December 7, 2011 ((Time to bust out the KOTOR reference. The orc belief is that if they can't fix it themselves, they didn't deserve to solve it in the first place. At least when dealing with people that are viewed as lesser beings. The humans are viewed as lesser to orcs, and need to prove their strength. There is no honor in making people weaker. If you are walking down the road and a man hands you a quest to remove the wolves invading his home. You are made stronger for defeating these enemies, but you have made the man weaker. You have denied this man the chance to grow in strength. This man is now weaker and will probably get mugged later because he couldn't find the strength to defend himself. You denied him this learning experience. That is the orc mentality of honor. Doing somebody else dirty work for them makes them weaker. Orcs believe honor is in strength, not "good deeds." We aren't humans, even though you seem to keep applying human ideals to them.))

Blawharag 277 Share Posted December 7, 2011 Me been t' Alkhazar. De air be tuu poisonous even t' breaf. Even made ME feel sick. Wifout a goth t' lead de oomies, dey crazy agh weak. It would be tuu eezy fer orcs t' crush dem now. A real orc would have some skah'n honah agh wait fer his enemy t' rebuild before he attacks. Kickin' shara while dey down be dishonorable combat. Dey may be oomies, bu' orcs should treat all opponents wif honah. ((I wasn't saying we should attack the humans, I was saying we should let them rot because they cannot save themselves and we should attack the undead. More in line with what Gragarn said. As for "You shall bring honor and valor where there is none", maybe I misread but I don't see "You shall be bleeding hearts and save everybody" anywhere in that. Or anywhere in our lore for that matter. At what point in time does the Warnation decide they are going to go help the people they were (and technically still are considering I saw no peace treaty) at war with. "Hey, Nazis, I know the communists are kicking you ass so we decided we are going to drop our war against you and come help you fight the communists, because we hate them too" (Yes I understand at the time we were allies with Russia, but a smart man would see the connection I'm making). If we want to destroy the Undead, lets do it. Not to save the Humans, but because we hate the Undead. I agree with Urara that we shouldn't kick them while they are down, that is dishonorable and no one here denies that. However, running to save someone has nothing to do with honor. It's one thing if that someone is recognizable as your friend. Blawharag jumps to Gaius' aid because he respects Gaius and considers Gaius a friend. That being said, he would never help that man with a wolf infestation. It has nothing to to with honor at all. Saving this man will not bring honor or valor to his house. If anything, HIM saving HIMSELF would bring honor and valor to his house when he tells the story about how he stomped the wolves who invaded his home.))
