We find ourselves ill equipped to care for the ever increasing number of refugees fleeing their destroyed homes and the political upheaval that undermines their safety. We are unable to offer these citizens the ability to practice their trades and a chance to build their own futures due to our lack of space. This lack of land also restricts our abilities to grow food and provide proper housing to our citizens. Despite our crowded conditions none of our citizens wish to leave our town. They choose to stay and work together to help provide for themselves and each other, but still, our population grows with each passing day. Once we are able to become a Nation, we will have access to the needed land our population so greatly needs and deserves. With this additional space, we will continue to grow and live our lives in peace, separated from those who would seek to do each other, and their own populations, harm. How active has your town been in the world? What history and events have occurred in your town? or What do you see this nation growing to become? The island our town sits upon is not widely known. This once nameless island was the childhood home of Lady Dawn Perea. After she met and married King Perea, she kept returning to the small island, using it as a retreat from the hustle and bustle of Al’ Khazar. Soon, her closest friends followed her there, each one building their own abode and experiencing the peace and tranquility of this tiny landmass. The destruction of Al ’Khazar and Winterfell however, gave her childhood home a new purpose. Opening the doors of her vacation home to all who were now homeless, adding as many rooms as possible within its walls, and then branching out as new structures were needed, transformed the island into the Isle of Salvus. Despite our limited space and resources, we have grown into a tightly knit mesh of individuals, all craving the same way of life. We seek nothing more than peace, and nothing less will be accepted. We see now what Salvus can become. We are growing into a peaceful farming nation, populated, protected by and cared for by a diverse cross section of the Aegian race. How will your town evolve to adapt to this growth? After settling on our lands, we will be filling several crucial government positions to aid in the further development of our Nation. Our rulers will choose only the best suited individuals to fill these roles. We intend on making strong alliances with many other nations in order to bring a strong economy to both our own Nation, as well as others. Our nation will be built slowly, with structures added as needed. This will allow us to be more versatile and flexible in providing for our people. Many of our citizens are already master craftsmen, so it is our intent to tap into their talents, allowing them to help us shape our new homeland. Other Details: After long and careful debate, we have decided to continue with the Monarchy style of rule with some slight modifications. Lady Dawn Perea and Lord Enor Sheffield have chosen to co rule together as King and Queen of the Nation. They have worked well together for quite some time now, each one complimenting the other’s strengths and compensating each other’s weaknesses. Our government is still under intense development at this time. We seek to find the best possible way to serve our citizens and help our Nation grow and prosper. We wish to avoid the pitfalls experienced by so many other ruling bodies and will work tirelessly to make certain that we never lose our homes again.
