High Lordship.

This is not an application, nor will this probably be used and if you apply do not think that you are a high lord. This is not an official Kal'Urguan high lord application of sorts, it is just to see your mentality and how you will cope with specific scenarios that may occur during your time of being a High Lord.

RP Age - Arbrek is 777, and turned that age on his first day in Asulon.

IRL Age - Unfortunately, I happen to be 14... I would say that I am rather more mature ((Or at-least, more old-fashioned! :P )) then my so called "peers" however.

Why do you wish to be a High Lord - Well, so far I have enjoyed being a Lord of Kal'Urguan due to leading the Smiths Guild and the Starbreakers, but I feel like it's more of an honorary position & doesn't let me help as many people as I would like, and I would like to do more to help the Dwarves. I think being a High-Lord would allow me to help more people on a grander scale, while doing something I was good at and enjoy.

What field do you wish to be a High Lord in ( War, Guild, Economics, Politics ) - I would rather enjoy being High-Lord of Guilds as I have a good amount of experience leading fantasy RP alliances/guilds/orders in this game, and in other places. I consider myself rather good at it, and enjoy it very much.

Have you contributed to Kal'Urguan before? if so how ( Wars, diplomatically, economically etc ) - Well, I lead the Smithing Guild, and the newly created Artificiati Lorem . The Smithing Guild helps Urguan rather alot, and I'm hoping the Lorem will do wonders to improve our culture and RP.

Scenarios

( During these scenarios act like a high lord would. )

Your on the king's road as you are approached by a group of Orcs who begin to insult you and RPly threaten you, would you...

Somewhere in-between. I'd calmly tell them that I was a Lord of Kal'Urguan ((High-Lord of Guilds isn't very threatening)) and pull out my golden sword, ((That I have for just this reason)) and let them know that I could easily make this the worst choice of there lives, and if they want to enjoy the rest of it, they should let me go.

You are asked permission by a guild to build their guild-house, they say they were given permission by the Grand Councillor, what would you do....

I would check the Guild Application Thread, and with the Councillor representing their guild, and with the Councillor of Guilds.

The miners guild has been getting permits in the Kal'Urguan mine for 25 percent off the original price, however they are not giving anything in return. Would you...

I would speak with Darius demanding to know why this is happening. I would inform him that they are to make up for the money Kal'Urguan as lost as of then within a ((IRL)) week. And to start doing a better job supplying Kal'Urguan. ((I would be rather irritated by this, due to the fact that I co-run the Smithing Guild, and this would severely hurt our guild))

Their are Dwarves inside of Kal'Urguan stirring up a strike over an issue that happened with their shop getting took over in another town while they were on travels, would you....

I'd most likely send a bird to the High-Lord or Grand Councillor of Economics & inform the Dwarves that I was not the best person to deal with the situation, and that someone who was was on their way.

Why do you wish to be a High Lord?

Well, I've been a dwarf for quite long, but I never really had a chance to really help the dwarfs, as a High lord I think I can really help the Dwarven nation. I also would like a more honorary position, Instead of being just a dwarf.

What field do you wish to be a High Lord in ( War, Guild, Economics, Politics ) - It doesn't matter, but I would prefer to be High lord in War or Polictics.

Have you contributed to Kal'Urguan before? if so how ( Wars, diplomatically, economically etc ) - Aye, I have fought in a lot of battles for the dwarfs and I have also been a guard for quite long, and I've tried to help every new dwarf in Kal'Urguan.

Scenarios

( During these scenarios act like a high lord would. )

Your on the king's road as you are approached by a group of Orcs who begin to insult you and RPly threaten you, would you...

I would take out my sword and dare them to insult/threaten me again, If they don't I'll leave them be, if the do insult/threaten me again I would charge them and try to finsih them off.

You are asked permission by a guild to build their guild-house, they say they were given permission by the Grand Councillor, what would you do....

I'd wait for the Grand Councillor to come online, if after a long time he still hasn't come online I would ask another Grand Councillor.

The miners guild has been getting permits in the Kal'Urguan mine for 25 percent off the original price, however they are not giving anything in return. Would you...

Confront the leader of the mining guild and ask why they are not giving anything in return, and if there isn't a good reason force them to supply Kal'Urguan.

Their are men inside of Kal'Urguan stirring up a strike over an issue that happened with their shop getting took over in another town while they were on travels, would you....

I would try to negotiate with the town for the shop and if they say no I would make them aware of the fact that they don't give the shop back, they are resisting orders from the dwarven nation. If that doesn't make them give the shop back I would give the dwarven a shop in Kal'Urguan and go to the town with a little army and demand money for the shop since it was probperty of dwarfs.

Why do you wish to be a High Lord - I would really like to help the nation prosper the best it can. I have seen so many lords, kings, councilors that I believe I can take the best characteristics out of most of them.

What field do you wish to be a High Lord in ( War, Guild, Economics, Politics ) - War or Economics

Have you contributed to Kal'Urguan before? if so how ( Wars, diplomatically, economically etc ) -

In the past I have been one of the captains in the failed FDA and I am in charge of a squad in the current army while also in charge of the gate guards.

Scenarios

( During these scenarios act like a high lord would. )

Your on the king's road as you are approached by a group of Orcs who begin to insult you and RPly threaten you, would you...

I would attack them myself! After all what is a high Lord who can't simply fight off a couple Greenskins?

You are asked permission by a guild to build their guild-house, they say they were given permission by the Grand Councillor, what would you do....

C. Do you wait until for the Grand Councillor to come online and confirm with him ( which can be quite long ).

The miners guild has been getting permits in the Kal'Urguan mine for 25 percent off the original price, however they are not giving anything in return. Would you...

A. Confront them about it and ask them what are they doing and how are they helping Kal'Urguan by getting the permits cheaper.

Their are men inside of Kal'Urguan stirring up a strike over an issue that happened with their shop getting took over in another town while they were on travels, would you....

* cough Kal'Rog and Skaeyne cough *

I would first try to talk the town into letting the man have his shop back. If that does not work I would check how active the town leader is. If he is not active I would probably take the town over and put it under Dwarven rule so the nation may gain more money from it.

Why do you wish to be a High Lord – I always want a high part in the kingdom, I can almost always see both sides of an argument (IRL and RP). I know I can very easily solve many problems, and I’d like to claim more land, more land means more resources and more houses to be build, etc. And I want to make it feel like very dwarf has a bit of right in the city and should be able to vote on certain things.

What field do you wish to be a High Lord in (War, Guild, Economics, and Politics) - I'd want to focus on economy, make the life of dwarfs very easy. I'd like to cast more votes, letting all the dwarfs choose what happens, and be very clear on everything. I would try to reason with the other races/cities to buy out all of their non-renewable recourses and have the monopoly on Iron, Gold, Diamonds, Etc.

Have you contributed to Kal'Urguan before? If so how (Wars, diplomatically, economically etc) – I’m an Archer for the legion, A guard, A spy for the Ironguts (more breaking into walls and being undercover, not like the sneaky thief deal), and I’ve been to many battles when I’m asked. I’ve done many smalls things, like chased down some bandits in the city, broke up a fight, and many more.

Scenarios

(During these scenarios act like a high lord would.)

You’re on the king's road as you are approached by a group of Orcs who begin to insult you and RPly threaten you, would you...

First of all, I would like to point out I don’t usually use public roads, it’s riddled with bandits and there are always faster ways; if you know the land. But if this did happen: I warn the orcs, almost try and make a good impression and see if I can reason with them, but if that doesn’t work (it usually doesn’t), I’d whip out my sword and stab one, they would start to attack, so I’d dash into the woods. I get well hidden, and force them to split up. I pick them off one by one (being a Archer/Spy) until there is only one left, I’d get him to the ground and tell him to go away and tell his Orc buddies to never mess with a dwarf again.

You are asked permission by a guild to build their guild-house; they say they were given permission by the Grand Councilor, what would you do....

Well, this is what I want to fix in the kingdom. I’d make a system, were there is a room with a board that let’s all the Grand Councilors leave me their messages. I could simply walk to this place and check for his sign, if it’s not there, they’d have to wait until he came back (came online) to start building.

The miner’s guild has been getting permits in the Kal'Urguan mine for 25 percent off the original price, however they are not giving anything in return. Would you...

A. Confront them about it and ask them what are they doing and how are they helping Kal'Urguan by getting the permits cheaper. (This one pretty much sums it up for me)

There are men inside of Kal'Urguan stirring up a strike over an issue that happened with their shop getting took over in another town while they were on travels, would you....

B. Try to negotiate with the town for the shop, if so what would you do if they say no? If they say no, I’d try to see if they would give the merchant a different shop, if they refuse this as well, I tell them they are being unreasonable and if they didn’t see any reason to this I would have it that the shop will be taken by force by the legion. Hopefully they would see reason to this, maybe I’d even offer a game challenge, the winner gets the shop.

Why do you wish to be a High Lord - i want to help this kingdom, i was always gone from the spot but i have learned from the best about certain things. i also think not everything is good, and i think i can help it change.

What field do you wish to be a High Lord in ( War, Guild, Economics, Politics ) - Guilds or Politics

Guilds because that is interesting and politics because i want to prevent bloodshed.

Have you contributed to Kal'Urguan before? if so how ( Wars, diplomatically, economically etc ) - i have helped me dwarves in a lot of ways, i also was a student of okonkwo when he was an ambassador, and i am now a diplomat in Kal'Urguan. when i was young i helped the dwarves with fights and other things(before my good computer broke) now i am old, burned and weak, i can defend myself, but not in a war, i rather be a tactician then.

Scenarios

( During these scenarios act like a high lord would. )

Your on the king's road as you are approached by a group of Orcs who begin to insult you and RPly threaten you, would you...

( Or your own answer ): i will tell ask them things about them, making them feel weak. but i also play the game, but i let the word death as far as it can be. it may be an act of a coward to some people, but i cant fight an group of orcs.

You are asked permission by a guild to build their guild-house, they say they were given permission by the Grand Councillor, what would you do....

B. If the Grand Councillor is offline you discuss with the other Grand Councillors not of this field?

if nobody is online then, i would look on the forum(or the papers in rp) to look if they actualy are accepted. and if so, i still will wait for the grand counciler(or the King) because they got there own idea where to put the guild.

B. Try to negotiate with the town for the shop, if so what would you do if they say no?

then i would try to convince the leader who is stirrin up all those other dwarves. and if that doesnt work i will get the king or a grand counciler.

Why do you wish to be a High Lord - I wish to become a High Lord as I feel I have become detached from Kal'Urgan and need to put something more into...As is said, "You get out what you put in" and Im willing to put in an immense workload if required.

What field do you wish to be a High Lord in ( War, Guild, Economics, Politics ) - I would like to become a War High Lord as I believe that my detachment with Kal'Urgan has stretched to far, and that I really need to put something in that can change Kal'Urgan for the better, whether it be fighting an old enemy or just defending from the undead, I wish to help this city prosper.

Have you contributed to Kal'Urguan before? if so how ( Wars, diplomatically, economically etc ) - None that I can recall, though I am beginning my own Dwarven town by the name of Kal'Dwain, that shall be a supply town for Kal'Urgans military / trade.

Scenarios

( During these scenarios act like a high lord would. )

Your on the king's road as you are approached by a group of Orcs who begin to insult you and RPly threaten you, would you...

C. Do you wait until for the Grand Councillor to come online and confirm with him ( which can be quite long ).

D. Give them said land, if the Grand Councillor is offline, as I ICly do not know he is offline therefore I believe they are telling the truth. Though if the Grand Councillor is online, I shall seek him out in-game and discuss said Guild's plot with him.

Why do you wish to be a High Lord?

During my time in Aegis I have grown to love the land, the people, and the Dwarven Capitol. I want to be able to help my fellow dwarves more than I am right now. I currently am the co-forge lord of the Dwarven Guild of Smiths, I love being a leader, and helping the guild, but I want to be able to have a bigger impact on the nation rather just in one guild.

What field do you wish to be a high lord in? (War, Guild, Economics, Politics)

I wish to be a High Lord in Politics. I want to help make important decisions that will benefit all dwarves, and really have a big impact in the Government.

Have you contributed to Kal'Urguan before? If so how? (Wars, Diplomatically, Economically, etc.)

Helping to lead the smithing guild me and the members of the guild have provided dwarves with armor and weapon repairs, and armor and weapons themselves.

Scenarios

(during these scenarios act like a high lord would.)

Your on the king's road as you are approached by a group of Orcs who begin to insult you and RPly threaten you, would you....

I would try and talk some sense into them. Saying that I personally don't want the situation to get out of hand, but if I must I would certainly pull out my sword. I would tell them that the fight would be pointless and unimportant, but if need be, I would attack.

You are asked permission by a guild to build their guild-house, they say they were given permission by the Grand Councillor, what would you do...

I would wait for the Grand Councillor but if has been a long time and he still hasn't come on, I would ask them the name of their guild and check the forums to see if what they told me is true.

The miners guild has been getting permits in the Kal'Urguan mine for 25 percent off the original price, however they are not giving anything in return. Would you...

I would go and speak with Darius, the leader of the guild and tell him that he needs to show his appreciation for this discount, he must provide Urguan with a portion of his ores in order to pay off the generous discount.

There are men inside inside of Kal'Urguan stirring up a strike over an issue that happened with their shop getting took over in another town while they were on travels, would you....

I would first confront the dwarves and tell them that starting a strike is not the best way to solve the problem. After they are a bit more calm I would ask them to tell me the full story, and based off of that story I would either get a more suited council member to handle the situation or help the dwarf negotiate for the shop back if the town declines my offer, I would not give up, if I have to buy the shop for double price out of my own pocket I would do so, as long as I have the money.

Why do you wish to be a high lord?

I wish to be a high lord to help Kal'Urguan. Some Council (lower and grand) Aren't on as much. I thick my ideas can really help out Kal'Urguan and i want to prepare it for aegis 2.0. I don't want to do this for power or respect, this is for my continent and race. Doing the best job i can for Kal'Urguan even if it means dieing for it i will.

What field do you wish to be a High Lord in?

War, Politics, or Economy . For war i can make good strategies and can negotiate with other countries rather than having our dwarfs killed and money wasted. Unless it is necessary for we are dwarfs and we wont take disrespect!

Have you contributed to Kal'Urguan before is so how?

Yes i have contributed to Kal'Urguan before, I am in the legion and have been on war missions and scouted out routes for an ambush or attack on our enemy's. I have also found lost or abandoned villages and towns of Kal'Urguan's Government that i believe we can rebuild.

Scenarios

(During these act like a high lord would)

Your on the king's road as you are approached by a group of Orcs who begin to insult you and RPly threaten you, would you...

A. Call the Dwarven Miliatry to come and defend you and aid you as you are a High Lord of Kal'Urguan.

B. Shrug it off and ignore them but that will mean them calling you a coward showing signs of weakness on your behalf for them.

C. Attack them yourself.

My Own Answer: I would walk away for now since i'm not strong enough to fight them off. Still having my dwarf honor i would gather up my guild or friends and go teach them orcs a lesson not to disrespect us dwarfs!

You are asked permission by a guild to build their guild-house, they say they were given permission by the Grand Councillor, what would you do....

A. Give them the designated land and amount they said they were given permission to get.

B. If the Grand Councillor is offline you discuss with the other Grand Councillors not of this field?

C. Do you wait until for the Grand Councillor to come online and confirm with him ( which can be quite long ).

My answer: I would choose B.

The miners guild has been getting permits in the Kal'Urguan mine for 25 percent off the original price, however they are not giving anything in return. Would you...

A. Confront them about it and ask them what are they doing and how are they helping Kal'Urguan by getting the permits cheaper.

B. Speak with your Grand Councillor and the King then discuss with them.

C. Investigate yourself and see if they are working with the other Grand Councillors.

My own answer: I would mix in both A and B together. I would confront them and ask them what have they done for Kal'Urguan. On their answer i would report back to my Grand Councillor and the Grand King. It is their decision on what to do next and instruct me on what to do.

Their are men inside of Kal'Urguan stirring up a strike over an issue that happened with their shop getting took over in another town while they were on travels, would you....

A. Speak with the Grand Councillor of War and send an army to the town.

B. Try to negotiate with the town for the shop, if so what would you do if they say no?

C. Tell the Dwarves its their fault and calm down, making you un-popular and stirring up the strike even more.

My own answer: I will try to settle them down and talk to them, asking if they would like a new shop. If they disagree i will ask the Grand Councillor of war or his High Lord (unless it's me) and gather a small group of soldier 4-6. We will go and try to negotiate or take the shop back. The shop keepers must help us too. If we cannot get it back then it is their fall for leaving it unprotected while they were traveling.

Thank you for taking the time to read my what i would do if i was a high lord. :D

Offer them a small 5% of income of what the shop profits, or offer a small bit more money. If they absolutely won't take my offer, then I will pay the man the money of the shop to buy a new one elsewhere.

C. Tell the Dwarves its their fault and calm down, making you un-popular and stirring up the strike even more.

Why do you wish to be a High Lord - High Lords are the axes and ale of our government. They deal with matters that help not only our race but all the other races out there that deserve our attention. They are the authority that the land of aegis needs. If i could become one i would strive to not only help my race but bring the things aegis needs most to the light.

What field do you wish to be a High Lord in ( War, Guild, Economics, Politics ) - Id say politics but it really wouldn't matter to me

Have you contributed to Kal'Urguan before? if so how ( Wars, diplomatically, economically etc ) - yes i am a longbeard in the legion army. I helped siege krugmar twice and defend against attacks.

Scenarios

( During these scenarios act like a high lord would. )

Your on the king's road as you are approached by a group of Orcs who begin to insult you and RPly threaten you, would you...

I would tell the orcs to ''Stow there tongues or let them be cut out by my sharp dwarven blade'' and if they continue after that well they may need to have there skin re-attached to there bones.

You are asked permission by a guild to build their guild-house, they say they were given permission by the Grand Councillor, what would you do....

I would always consult the grand councilor about this to make sure there telling the truth but if he dosent get on for a while ill just discuss it with the other grand councilors to have a 50 50 chance of if i was right or wrong.

The miners guild has been getting permits in the Kal'Urguan mine for 25 percent off the original price, however they are not giving anything in return. Would you...

First i would see how is this benefiting kal'urguan at all and if its not a good benefit then i will make them give a percent of there profit to kal'urguan. Then after that make sure they get no more discounts if there not going to return the favor.

Their are men inside of Kal'Urguan stirring up a strike over an issue that happened with their shop getting took over in another town while they were on travels, would you....

I would try and negotiate for there shop back and if they say no then i will try and convince them to relocate to a new location free of charge. if they say no i will keep trying to seduce them to relocating but if its still no's then ill just say im sorry but i cant help you unless you somehow come to a compromise on this since iv done my part.

Scenarios

C. Attack them yourself.

B. Try to negotiate with the town for the shop, if so what would you do if they say no? I would send a few of the Royal Guards to sort them out.

((Hello everyone! I thought this could be good for me to collect my thoughts and for other to see what I'm thinking.))

Why do you wish to be a High Lord:

I've joined now in the new map once again the Dwarven Kingdom. I see that alot of stuff starts slowly and I know alot of ways how to improve the way how we do it and also how things can be improved. I've lead my own town for a longer period really successfull and people always stated me as a strict and rough in one hand but reasonable and wise(sounds strange but I think this fits here)in the other. I'm really good at organizing stuff...and well...I know alot about war. All the peopler who are longer here and lived in the north of aegis know why.

What field do you wish to be a High Lord in ( War, Guild, Economics, Politics ):

War. No others could fit me better then war. I know alot about defensive and offensive strategies and if I have time I can reach alot of things.

Have you contributed to Kal'Urguan before? if so how ( Wars, diplomatically, economically etc ):

I started as a dwarf. Later I went to the guards and held alot of guard duties. I fought in several big wars. I organized stuff like the setting up of fort victory and everything.

Scenarios

( During these scenarios act like a high lord would. )

Your on the king's road as you are approached by a group of Orcs who begin to insult you and RPly threaten you, would you...

My answer:

If I can, I'd just attack them by myself. If I have the possibility to escape them just to follow them afterwards to find out who they came from I'd do it. It's simply more effective to attack the source of the problems then just a few orcs. But well...normally I'd just kill them.

You are asked permission by a guild to build their guild-house, they say they were given permission by the Grand Councillor, what would you do....

My answer:

If people claim such things I'd simply say to show me a witnesser....for example another councilor who vouches for them. If there is no witnesser I'd simply say, to wait for the named Grand Councillor. I'd gladly take a message for the councillor and would help them with anything else. If I discover they lied to me I'd punish them.

The miners guild has been getting permits in the Kal'Urguan mine for 25 percent off the original price, however they are not giving anything in return. Would you...

Somehow I feel like saying B...but I think I'd directly ask the king instead.

Their are men inside of Kal'Urguan stirring up a strike over an issue that happened with their shop getting took over in another town while they were on travels, would you....

I'd first try the way of diplomatics and get into a conversation with the town leader. If this doesn't help I'm going back to the king, to explain him the situation. If permission is granted I'd lead a military strike against the named town to get back what was lost.

((I think this should fit it.

Juvens))
