What field do you wish to be a High Lord in ( War, Guild, Economics, Politics ) - War,or politics of course! Have you contributed to Kal'Urguan before? if so how ( Wars, diplomatically, economically etc ) - Yes I have. In ways, i have participated in many wars such as the wars with the orcs, with alras, and i defended Galahar during the purge. Do you wait until for the Grand Councillor to come online and confirm with him ( which can be quite long ). Jordan1921 373 Share Posted January 16, 2012 MC Name - Jordan1921 RP Age - 189 IRL Age - 13 Why do you wish to be a High Lord - When I was a child, I trained day and night with the FOA, honing my swordsmanship for a battle that one day may bring me into the hope of a leadership position. As I got on with my life, it seems clear that will take much more work that I thought, and I have taken a liking to ways of politics. What field do you wish to be a High Lord in ( War, Guild, Economics, Politics ) - Either Economics or Politics, I wish to speak with leaders of other nations to make deals to help the nation in general. Have you contributed to Kal'Urguan before? if so how ( Wars, diplomatically, economically etc ) - Ever since I have moved to the Dwarven nation, I have served in all of its wars. I was at the siege of Alras and served the former Marshall Kjell faithfully. I also helped the nation of Renatus fight against the Purge and converted Flynn to their cause. I have also advised leaders when I could and I have tried talked with leaders of other nations and helped them in times of war. The king of Renatus knows me personally has I have talked to him several times. Scenarios ( During these scenarios act like a high lord would. ) Your on the king's road as you are approached by a group of Orcs who begin to insult you and RPly threaten you, would you... It would depend on their training or weapons, if they are all clad in Diamond armor, or even gold armor I will call for Legion members to aid me. But if they are weak and show it by having lesser armor, I will attack them myself to keep my family name from shame. You are asked permission by a guild to build their guild-house, they say they were given permission by the Grand Councillor, what would you do.... B. If the Grand Councillor is offline you discuss with the other Grand Councillors not of this field. The miners guild has been getting permits in the Kal'Urguan mine for 25 percent off the original price, however they are not giving anything in return. Would you... B. Speak with your Grand Councillor and the King then discuss with them. Their are men inside of Kal'Urguan stirring up a strike over an issue that happened with their shop getting took over in another town while they were on travels, would you.... B. Try to negotiate with the town for the shop, if so what would you do if they say no? If they refuse then I would first threaten then with the Legion, if they do not I will let the Grand Councillor or war deal with them, if they don't listen to reason.
Saviordude 133 Share Posted January 18, 2012 DWARFS ONLY MC Name - Saviticus "Treebeard" Irongut RP Age - 342 IRL Age - 17 Why do you wish to be a High Lord - I want to be a High Lord primarly to take an active part in the government, as it is my belief that a dwarf who does not try to better his kingdom is no dwarf at all. But the other reason why is that I want to help out all the dwarves that our fiar king rules over, and make sure that they are successful. What field do you wish to be a High Lord in ( War, Guild, Economics, Politics ) - I would like to be a High Lord of Politics, as I find I am better with my words than a sword. Have you contributed to Kal'Urguan before? if so how ( Wars, diplomatically, economically etc ) - My ealierest contribution was Head Librarian for the Cathedral under Hogarth. I also served as a guard, a guildmaster of the engineers guild, and a lumberjack. There were also a few battles I took part in too. Scenarios ( During these scenarios act like a high lord would. ) Your on the king's road as you are approached by a group of Orcs who begin to insult you and RPly threaten you, would you... A. Call the Dwarven Miliatry to come and defend you and aid you as you are a High Lord of Kal'Urguan. B. Shrug it off and ignore them but that will mean them calling you a coward showing signs of weakness on your behalf for them. C. Attack them yourself. ( Or your own answer ) I would calmly tell them that I was a High Lord of the Dwarves and that I had no wish to fight them, and that I had even studied under Lex'Lur. I would explain that harming me would have serious reprocussion for their nation, and it would not be wise to engage. If they continued I would pull out my sword and fend them off until I could get away, after which I would notify one of their diplomats, my councillor, and King Thorik of the attack. I would then base my actions off of their replies. You are asked permission by a guild to build their guild-house, they say they were given permission by the Grand Councillor, what would you do.... A. Give them the designated land and amount they said they were given permission to get. B. If the Grand Councillor is offline you discuss with the other Grand Councillors not of this field? C. Do you wait until for the Grand Councillor to come online and confirm with him ( which can be quite long ). ( Or your own answer ) I would talk to the other Grand Councillors and ask them if they had heard any information about the guild-house. If they had not, I would then ask any of his advisers/assistants. Failing that, I would turn to King Thorik, and if did not know if permission was given I would wait until the Grand Councillor came online. The miners guild has been getting permits in the Kal'Urguan mine for 25 percent off the original price, however they are not giving anything in return. Would you... A. Confront them about it and ask them what are they doing and how are they helping Kal'Urguan by getting the permits cheaper. B. Speak with your Grand Councillor and the King then discuss with them. C. Investigate yourself and see if they are working with the other Grand Councillors. ( Or your own answer ) I would talk to the Gran Councillor of Guilds, the Grand Councillor of Economics, and the King about my concerns, and act off of their replies. Their are men inside of Kal'Urguan stirring up a strike over an issue that happened with their shop getting took over in another town while they were on travels, would you.... A. Speak with the Grand Councillor of War and send an army to the town. B. Try to negotiate with the town for the shop, if so what would you do if they say no? C. Tell the Dwarves its their fault and calm down, making you un-popular and stirring up the strike even more. ( Or your own answer ) I would try to negotiate with the town for the shop, if that failed I would talk to the councillor about sending an army to the town in response to thier refusal to hand over dwarven property and goods. Aandie 51 Share Posted January 21, 2012 DWARVES ONLY MC Name - Aandie RP Age - 84 IRL Age - 17 Why do you wish to be a High Lord - No matter of my rather young age, I know to listen to the people, to learn to know what they need and desire in order to minimalize the chance of an uprising or such. Mainly I am after a new experience as an active member in possibly helping to decide on matters, to help to make the dwarven nation ever so glorious and not accept disrespect. ((War would be definetily my strong suit as of my long history with the Black Cross and doubt that I would have lasted there long, without Gaius kicking me unless I was a capable fighter and roleplayer. From there I have learned several tactics and strategies, ways to outsmart the enemy.)) What field do you wish to be a High Lord in ( War, Guild, Economics, Politics ) - I have been working as a diplomat/consultant, but the strong suits for me would be either war or politics as those are the fields I have gained the most experience and knowledge on during my rather long journey across the lands and throughout my life. Gathering of knowledge and experience started early enough to allow me to oversmart many of my old enemies. Have you contributed to Kal'Urguan before? if so how ( Wars, diplomatically, economically etc ) - Not as much as I would have wanted to due to several reasons which are not to be told of. But what I have done for the dwarves and their home, whatever it may be during the different time period: Attended to several battles with the legion and outside of it from which dwarves benefit the most of and helped quite a bit with guild and relationship related matters back in Kal'urguan. Hoping to make this bit endless by becoming a High Lord of sorts which you see me fit the best in. Scenarios ( During these scenarios act like a high lord would. ) Your on the king's road as you are approached by a group of Orcs who begin to insult you and RPly threaten you, would you... I would ask them to leave me be, using as many words of orc language as I possibly know to fit in my sayings. As I hope that they would leave me be, I would continue my journey. If the situation would turn ugly, I would try to beat them if there was only few of them. I would try to outsmart them by using some tactics I learned along my long history in a military force. Perhaps make them believe that I was in a spot, but ending up to be elsewhere and striking from behind. Knocking ones teeth in and hitting the back of ones head which after would lead to me fighting the rest. I'd rather take a minor blow myself than waste time, money nor honor of the nation. But if there were more than 2 - 3 of them and they would not leave me be, I would try to make my way to dwarven lands and possibly get someone to back me up. Also reminding the orcs what could possibly happen if they went any further with this. You are asked permission by a guild to build their guild-house, they say they were given permission by the Grand Councillor, what would you do.... C. I would wait for the Grand Councillor to come online and confirm it. No matter how long it takes as it would be the safest bet. I do not see this situation to be a time to consider taking risks. The miners guild has been getting permits in the Kal'Urguan mine for 25 percent off the original price, however they are not giving anything in return. Would you... A. Confront them about it and ask them what are they doing and how are they helping Kal'Urguan by getting the permits cheaper. If they would speak of what would not seem to be believable or seeming not to be for the good of the nation and it's dwarves, I would start further investigation, possibly dragging some who I trust completely to help with this task. I would also ask others of what they think before acting on it as several differing points of views could fill up the holes in ones mind. There are men inside of Kal'Urguan stirring up a strike over an issue that happened with their shop getting took over in another town while they were on travels, would you.... B. Try to negotiate with the town for the shop, if so what would you do if they say no? If they would say no, I would present them the matter from different point of views. Like lets say, present the matter to them as if they were in the victims position and how they would react and talk about injustice in the matter possibly. Aleksis is a cunning dwarf, he would use dirty tricks if these men were the ones who he could trust completely but not otherwise.
Cracker 4570 Share Posted January 23, 2012 MC Name - TheCrackerJack RP Age - 390 IRL Age - 16 Why do you wish to be a High Lord - I wish to become a High Lord because throughout my stay in Karik, I have noticed that there are always civil, political, military, and economic reforms needed to be accomplished. Thus, even in my first few days here I reached out to the guard, trying to make them instate a squad based system, speak with the Grand Councillor of Economics in ways to fuel the economy and employ our dwarven people, and even speak with Thorik in ways for political and civil reforms. All in all, I'm very dedicated to the cause of making Karik a mighty nation that all the other kingdoms will be wary about. What field do you wish to be a High Lord in ( War, Guild, Economics, Politics ) - Economics, Politics, or War really. If I were to become High Lord, Economics would probably be what I would be nominated for, since I've help set up the West Karik Trading Company which plans to create a dynamic system which would benefit the city, keep people employed and raise awareness of our nation. However, I also have a lot of skills in Politics and War as I can speak quite well in RP, logically and with reason, and also have a great deal of experience with raising, organizing and distributing troops. Logistics is a big thing for me, so is troop training. Economics would be a fair path but I would definitely hold ties in Politics and War, consulting and aiding the Councilors of their fields. Have you contributed to Kal'Urguan before? if so how ( Wars, diplomatically, economically etc ) - I proposed to Tarion a squad system, which later was implemented into the Legion (whether if it was my idea or someone elses, I do not know, but I have helped militarily in that way) Also, I have provided supplies to the Legion. Furthermore, I have helped a lot economically by forming a trade company, and creating ideas and fundraisers for our nation. Scenarios ( During these scenarios act like a high lord would. ) Your on the king's road as you are approached by a group of Orcs who begin to insult you and RPly threaten you, would you... Depending on the scenario, I would either call the Legion or fight them myself. If I was well-equipped, had nothing of value, and outsupplied them, I would take them on myself. But I would not put the wealth of the kingdom over my pride, and thus if I was outsupplied or possessed goods to valuable to loose I would call the Legion to my aid. You are asked permission by a guild to build their guild-house, they say they were given permission by the Grand Councillor, what would you do.... Most likely I would know already because I have an OCD knack of trying to keep track of everything, but otherwise I would confer with my fellow Lords and Councillers and allot the plot otherwise. The miners guild has been getting permits in the Kal'Urguan mine for 25 percent off the original price, however they are not giving anything in return. Would you... Initially I would contact my superiors to confirm this, then I would confront them about it , asking why the heck they aren't benefitting the Kingdom, and berate them about how they call themselves a Miner Guild. Their are men inside of Kal'Urguan stirring up a strike over an issue that happened with their shop getting took over in another town while they were on travels, would you.... While I would have the Legion suppress any violence, I would have them elect a representive and conduct a diplomatic chat with him. I would ask the King for a form of compensation, and if not and the crowd seems especially disgruntled, I would gather money of my own to compensate. Try to negotiate with the town for the shop, if so what would you do if they say no? then i would try to convince the leader who is stirrin up all those other dwarves. and if that doesnt work i will get the king or a grand counciler. Since he has a lot of experience, because of his age partly, but he has done some things in our Kingdom and I've always found him walking around with good ideas for improvementsdone s. He has also been my Uncle and he taught me, with my father Thorik, a lot of things. All these things have now came to use. I see him being a Great "succesor" for my rank as Grand Councilor. If anyone disagrees, Can that Dwarf raise his hand? (( My OOC reasons for choosing him are: + He has proven ICly and OOCly to me that he can handle the job. + I think he has a lot of ideas that could be useful, ofcourse he is not the only one because i've been receiving ideas from a lot of people, but it is still a thing that I need. + He is A. My language B. He lives 200 ft. away from me. These maybe aren't good reasons but always making ideas in other languages aren't the easiest thing to do. As I said, if anyone disagrees, tell me. )) OTHER GRAND COUNCILORS WILL CHOOSE THEIR HIGH LORD SOON ON THIS POST!

Beneh 227 Share Posted February 2, 2012 DWARFS ONLY MC Name - benny508 RP Age - Bili is 543. IRL Age - I am 17. Why do you wish to be a High Lord - I wish to be a High Lord because I have gathered alot of experience in different fields helping other nations. For example , I was the High Marshal of Malinor and the Captain of the Hanseti Guard and throughout both of these jobs , I learned alot about how to start up and manage an army or a gaurd force efficiently and make sure that they are performing as well as they can. Most of the time during those jobs I was the only one working on them so I started them up from scratch , managed the men and made sure that they were performing to their full potential and I believe now it is time for me to put this experience to use and assist my home nation in having a mighty military. I have also been studying each Nation's military tactics for quite some time and I believe that I could assist our Grand Councillor of War. What field do you wish to be a High Lord in ( War, Guild, Economics, Politics ) - I wish to be a High Lord in the field of War as I have gained much experience dealing with war and how to manage armies effectively. Have you contributed to Kal'Urguan before? if so how ( Wars, diplomatically, economically etc ) - Currently , I have not done anything to major if I am honest in the Dwarven Nation , but now I am looking to show the Dwarven Nation just how much I have learned and hopefully make the Dwarven Nation proud. Scenarios ( During these scenarios act like a high lord would. ) Your on the king's road as you are approached by a group of Orcs who begin to insult you and RPly threaten you, would you... This would depend on what I had on me at the time , and if I was on an important mission. If I was on an important mission , or had extreamly valuable goods on me that were important to the Nation , I would not attack them myself and risk shaming the nation , however should I just be patrolling or wandering , I would take the Orcs on myself. You are asked permission by a guild to build their guild-house, they say they were given permission by the Grand Councillor, what would you do.... B. If the Grand Councillor is offline you discuss with the other Grand Councillors not of this field? - I would do this to see if any other Grand Councillors knew anything about it and if they did not , then ultimately , I would wait for the Grand Councillor of Guilds to return. The miners guild has been getting permits in the Kal'Urguan mine for 25 percent off the original price, however they are not giving anything in return. Would you... A. Guest Share Posted February 4, 2012 DWARFS ONLY MC Name - Rokhazula RP Age - 164 IRL Age - 17 Why do you wish to be a High Lord - I wish to be a high lord due to the fact I have the skills and compromise to follow it, I have experience in leading on multiple roleplaying games and I have little doubt that Minecraft shall fall under the same banner, I have led armies, guilds, parties on a majority of games, following in on a roleplay sense along with the OOC Interaction in organising such things that relate to tasks of managing the forces along with the whole speech thing that comes along before massive battles. What field do you wish to be a High Lord in ( War, Guild, Economics, Politics ) - War, I have a strong aspect towards it and of course am capable of handling such a position, I have an array of skills to suit the position along with the ideas to bolster it, ideas give birth to whole new array of entertainment and enjoyment you could say, be it through OOC or IC means, ideas are viable to all areas unless they directly change something which doesn't need to be changed or isn't broken in the first place. Have you contributed to Kal'Urguan before? if so how ( Wars, diplomatically, economically etc ) - I helped during the Conflict between the Orcs last year in Aegis. Along with the rising Undead Threat, I also was a guard to some diplomatic missions between races such as the Elves and the Orcs although a small amount of meetings with the Orcs resulted in killing of sorts due to disagreements. Scenarios Your on the king's road as you are approached by a group of Orcs who begin to insult you and RPly threaten you, would you... Personally? Me, being the High Lord of the Military I would most likely ignore their insults and continue on, unless they directly try to impede my actions or try to physically harm me, than the fact that I would already be travelling with guards, a person in such a high position would not simply be wallowing away on his own, he would have guards such as an escort force because Assassination attempts are far to capable if alone on the kings Road, these Orcs in question may even be assassins sent to send me a 'message' of sorts, plus bringing the escort force along can bring roleplay to all parties, instead of walking down the road and simply ignoring every single group who came by would not produce roleplay, it would be the opposite. Therefore, bringing along a small escort force of Dwarves can bring along roleplay for me and my personal escorts. You are asked permission by a guild to build their guild-house, they say they were given permission by the Grand Councillor, what would you do.... C. Do you wait until for the Grand Councillor to come online and confirm with him ( which can be quite long ). Why? Because it isn't my field, I don't care if it takes long for them to come on, it is their fault for not being as active and therefore giving a disappointing view towards the Dwarven Nations leaders, If it takes long then time can be made to find the specific grand councillor, through IC and if possible, OOC means. Although Time zones do of course limit us, it shall not ignore the fact that time can be made to sort out these problems. The miners guild has been getting permits in the Kal'Urguan mine for 25 percent off the original price, however they are not giving anything in return. Would you... B. Speak with your Grand Councillor and the King then discuss with them. Why? Becuase It isn't my field and neither is it my Councillors if I was in the War Ministry, The King of course could report to it's Economy Councillor to sort out this problem regarding these cheap permits and of course nothing of value being returned to the Dwarven City, If I tried to sort out the problem myself then I would only being doing a sub-par job due to the fact that it isn't my field and my Character is in no way interested in 'petty' mining chores. Their are men inside of Kal'Urguan stirring up a strike over an issue that happened with their shop getting took over in another town while they were on travels, would you.... B. Try to negotiate with the town for the shop, if so what would you do if they say no? I would negotiate with a proper diplomatic High Lord or Councillor with me, seeing as I would be the High Lord of War, my position would only reflect upon Military positions, therefore nilling my authority to the fact that this isn't my field, but if they said No then it would mostly likely result in their reputation with the Dwarven Kingdom being lowered or certain sanctions being placed, rather than solve it through war and killing, solve it economically and strategically. This an economic problem and must be solved by the Economic leaders of the Dwarven Nation.
