Wars are decided by the Grand Councilors if clans got too much power a lot of people would make their own clan for power. Clan leaders get a position on the lower council but that is useless now. In the new map I am going to work towards giving them a purpose.

I was kinda thinkning that the lower councial would only be for clan leaders as to get say in the government would be to join a clan and get your clan leader to bring up problems and such. Keeps clan leaders from be comming more powerful then the others as they cant be on the clan council and be a grand councialer. but thats just me :/

I dont like to join guilds either... So far what im told i that once we see our new capital we wont want to leave anyways so that sounds good to me :)

So, do i understand you right: There will be a built capital waiting for to move in ? I frankly thought we would have to build a new one ourselves.

How are the houses going to be distributed, so it's fair ?

Houses may or may not be redistributed, it's all going to be decided through role-play once we arrive. Although there will be a capital there it is going to take a good amount of work to fix it up since it has been left alone for many years. Plus keeping minas is still unknown so we may have to buy a new home when we arrive. If homes are distributed I think it will be based on your class .

Thank you for your answer. Sounds very good, i'm looking forward to it.

I do like the idea though and clan leaders should be given more power. The reason is, the clan leader is sort of the representative of his clan, in times of difficult decision like war, or how to spend a recent abundance in gold some sort of vote should be held between clan leader grand councilors, high lords and the King.

Not 100% sure how the government of the new Dwarf capital will run, But I had a few ideas I thought I would run by everyone.

King

Figurehead of the dwarves. Who everyone looks to for strength and power.

High Council

Handful of members that each rule a sector of the Dwarven kingdom. Guilds, Economics, War, Clans, and Diplomatic.

Weekly meetings of each of these sectors allows the heads of each are to relate questions, problems, and suggestions to the High Council members. (ex: Head of each guild meets with Guild Council member every other Tuesday)

Bi-Weekly Council meetings allow high council members to relay these findings to the king and decisions can be made for the betterment of the kingdom. In decision making, King counts as 2 votes, meaning 3/5 High council members could overthrow his decision.

Monthly elections within the sectors would allow members who are interested in gaining experience in a government position the chance to sit on the council. (Fresh ideas every month or so.) Slumping progress or bad showing by a Council member could enact an emergency election within the sector.

Clan meetings, guild meetings, Legion meetings, and economic summits could happen on a regular basis and allow hard working members to rise up and voice there opinions, and possibly put new leaders at the head of some flailing groups. Likewise, Diplomacy with other nations could benefit from monthly feasts, tournaments, or gatherings of any kind.

Just some thoughts. Figured I'd throw it out there.

If I was the general I would be making regular training sessions and meetings.

When Arteh become leader of war he will be doing this. Charles probably would but he is upset that he was basically promised to share the throne with two others but the Thorik decided to stay.

Valen, what I meant was we should stay quiet to all of the other nations. Be the "shy" race.

Dammit mili..... ugh either way... I kinda thought of a cool thing and wrote it down months ago but found the paper

This is to thorik or whoever is in charge right now

High Councial stays as it is (they will have their different jobs and such)

The lower council becomes the Clan council. Only the top 5 clan leaders can be in this and have meetings and such on the kingdom and present ideas to the other group and king.

Both groups can impeach the king if they have the support needed enough. it would be like the two houses of congress in America. both have their individual power but must rely on each other to get things done.

That's a really good idea. I may speak to Thorik and the other Grand Councillors about that because i do think that clan leaders will actually do something in the lower council.. and i can figure something out for the Guilds.

Yeah actually give clans some sway and guild.leaders arnt much of help. They are part of clans so their clan leader can talk bout the problem.
