Out-Of-Character:

Minecraft Account Name:

I_A_M.

Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?:

No.

How old are you?:

16.

Time-Zone/Country of Residence:

Central Time Zone, United States of America.

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:

Yes.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

I am a Junior (11th grader) in high school, and i've been an avid Minecrafter for nearly a year now. I greatly enjoy socialising and going on adventures, for which Minecraft is a superior platform, as far as gaming goes. Two friends and I manage a Youtube channel, Ohbit3, on which we record game commentaries, Minecraft counted as the most prominent series. If we all are approved to be on your server, we plan to make a new series about our adventures through the wonderful land of Aegis.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

Ideally, I would want to be on for at least an hour a day, but with schoolwork and such, it might be a bit less that that. My friends and I plan to record and post videos in our LOTC series on weekends.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.:

Roleplaying implies an alternate output for desires or dreams that may be rendered unachievable, or difficult to achieve through real life. It allows you to act as a different person, with minimal consequences (though it should still be faced with responsibility, as though you were in real life)

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

Metagaming is, in my opinion, a form of cheating. It describes the action of using out-of-game knowledge to heighten yourself from the intended gaming experience. Powergaming, in my opinion, is a form of ignorance. It describes the mindset of disregarding atmosphere, plot, and character development, for the goal to simply win. Both sort of ruin the gaming experience.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I expect it will be well managed, immersive, and enjoyable. I greatly enjoy architecture, which I expect there will be a lot of. I hope to develop my character through experiences, sociality, and adventuring, which i'm confident this server will bring.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I've mostly played on mass-SMP servers, where the goal is simply to build a home in a city and go on to build other cool stuff. Sometimes, there will be socialisation, but it is not on high regard. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy free-build survival servers, but I really want to be part of a more adventure-based game, whilst still enjoying the charm of Minecraft. This server sounds like it highly stresses such ideals, making me think it's perfect for what i'm looking for.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:

Yes.

How did you hear about us?:

One of my friends who co-runs our Youtube Channel (Ohbit3) told me about the LOTC server, and that it would be re-starting soon, making it a perfect server for us to join, and to record a new series about.

Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?

Yes, O believe I am #1305, but I got a bit confused with the interface. I did vote, though.

What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?:

I_A_M.

Yanis (pronounced Yah-Niss)

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

I was raised in a small village, which was frequently visited by roaming soldiers. The soldiers would stop at the Inn, which my mother ran, and one of these soldiers became my father. They raised and educated me from a very young age, teaching me about manners and how to treat others. One fateful day, when I was 4 years old, a drunk patron at our Inn's tavern got in a fight with my father, who was the co-owner with my mother. The drunkard attacked my Father, and my Mother intervened, both were killed. After this, I was left orphaned, living on the streets, until one day I left town to live in the nearby forest. In my years spent in the forest, I observed the animals, and learned from nature what I hadn't learned from my parents. From the wild foxes, I learned to be stealthy and unassuming, and to observe before acting. From the wild packs of wolves, I learned how to hunt, how to rely on others, and how to stand my ground in a conflict. At the age of 15 years, I left the wild, to adventure and see the world, on my own. Along the way, I was repeatedly given trouble by bandits and soldiers, causing me to have a general distrust of strangers.

I'm 6 feet tall, muscular to a reasonable level, and rather light. I have short black hair, somewhat smooth complexion, and very slightly tan white skin.

I like to see myself as relatively clever and quick-witted, and I like to joke around with people I know. I don't find my self very outwardly social, for i like to keep to myself to avoid misunderstandings. I try to respect everyone, and think before I act.

Your characters ambitions:

To explore as far and wide as I can, and to have a good reputation (I don't want to get on peoples' bad sides if I can help it.).

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

I first quickly observe, to see what the situation is (who seems to be right and who seems to be wrong), and then act: If it seems the Elf is in the right, I go over to help him fend off the bandits, If it seems the bandits are in the right, I try to simply drive them away, because it would seem immoral to gang up on a single man.

Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

"Hello! How are you today? I wonder if you wouldn't mind telling me of your selection of bows?"

Other Information:

I am part of a group/alliance called The Ohbit Three, with my fellow travelers Alic and Erik. We stick together as a team, and help each other out.
