Out-Of-Character:

Here is my second and hopefully succesfull attempt, I hope you can forgive me for straight out copying the parts I didn't receive any comments on.

Minecraft Account Name:

CptSillyFrog

Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?:

No I sadly couldn't attend Minecon.

How old are you?:

I turned 20 recently

Time-Zone/Country of Residence:

+1 GMT, The Netherlands

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:

I do actually. Every now and then people even mistake me for a brit because of my accent.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

A hardcore gamer that likes to cook and loves indepth story telling.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

That would mostly depend on the server, a start off goal would be 8 hours a week but if I enjoy my time here it can easily go up to 25.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.:

During my World of Warcraft days i've been a roleplayer for over a year on one of the biggest EU Rp servers: Argent Dawn. I participated in many events, large and small and also helped people who orginazed them. I also donated a lot of ingame currency to the server's dedicated site: "The Argent Archives".

Roleplaying for me is expressing a side of you that you normally wouldn't express in real life, for whatter ever reason. Although the character might be the absolute opposite of what you are in real life you still view it as yourself.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

Powergaming: Using an unacceptable powerfull move on which other people cannot responde in a respectable manner. Such may include: Instant death, immortality, invisibility and mind-control.

Meta-Gaming ( I totally forgot this one last time...shouldnt write apply's at 2AM):

Using information that you know OOC but your character has no way of knowing IC.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I hope to find a serious Roleplaying community with out, to many..." trolls. Sadly they are hard to find but i've heard great things about this server.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

A small server called Mylocraft, I joined it while it was crumbling apart. Some of the officers were trolls, destroying protected buildings through hacks and the sorts.

I've been on Buxville for a month or so. I like the idea of an economy based server but they take it way over the top ruining the landscape with ubergiant farms and the sorts.

After that I've hopped servers for a while trying to find something I like.

Currently I am playing on Darktide. Its a server I enjoy very much though the server is a hardcore pvp server and frankly enough im not a hardcore pvp'r.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:

I most certainly have.

How did you hear about us?:

I've heard about you on a Ventrillo channel

Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?

I don't mean to be rude but I haven't even joined the server yet. Till this moment I have no reason to vote on this server till I experience it. It looks amazing though, walked around as a Wandering Soul and I'm impressed.

What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?:

CptSillyFrog

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

*Told from a 3rd person perspective as requested*

Let me tell you a story of a little boy by the name of Eugene Woodbuckle:

Years ago, far out into sea, there lived a little boy. The boy never knew his mother or father and his first memories were that of hard labor. The boy's name was Eugene.

Eugene lived on a large trading ship that transported all kinds of goods from every corver of the world. It was his task to scrub the decks and to clean the bed sheets.

Although he was the only kid on board didn't mean he couldn't make friends and he made one for life on that old ship. Through the years the ship's cook became the father figure for the little boy. His name was Old Benjamin Woodbuckle, Old Ben in short. Since the little boy never knew his parents and thus never was given a last name he started to use the last name of his dearest friend.

Years passed by and the boy wasn't so little anymore. He'd gained strong arms, started to grow a small beard and made a dashing pony tail in his brow hair. No matter where they docked the ladies would melt for his green eyes. Old Ben always stayed at the ship ready with a fishing rod... fish the boy out of the water whenever he was thrown out of tavern. The boy had a taste for good brawls in his younger days.

Time passed by and it was no longer scrubbing for the kid. The ship's navigator had decided it was time to pass on his skill as he was getting old, too old. Before the boy could finish his navigator training the man passed away. In his passing he left some of his belonging onto the boy: A Ruby Monocle, a rusty spyglass, a dirty map, some navigator notes and a blue coat with "golden" trimming. With no other option the Captain promoted the boy to Ship's Navigator that very instant. What would happen after that couldn't have been forseen by any navigator in the world.

It was in the middle of the night. Most of the deckhands were sleeping in the hull and only a few souls were awake. They've been drifting in the ocean for a while. Old Ben was proud of little Eugene and got him a nice suprise from the Captain's Cabin. Both half drunk they went of to bed though it wouldn't be for long. The boy would never forgot that night. With no warning at all a large blast could be heard. A trade ship's greatest fear had arrived, Pirates. In mere minutes the ship got torn in half by cannon fire and the boy could only made it just in time to Old Ben before the Gun Powder shipment exploded in a large fireblast.

Only the boy, Old Ben and a couple of deckhands made it out alive. Swimming away on a piece of drift wood as fast as they could for pirates ain't known to leave witnisses. They stranded on an island not to far from the wreck. Though the settings weren't ideal Old Ben now finally had the time to teach the boy some of his tricks. As a Ship's Cook ya learn a thing or two about fishing and Old Ben was a master fisherman. In those 3 weeks Old Ben taught the boy everything he knew. With Ben's skills as a cook and fisherman and with all the remaining supplies that washed ashore life wasn't as bad as you would think.

After 3 weeks of fishing, feasting and drunken laughter the smoke from their firepit got noticed by a large trading fleet. They got rescued but it was back to scrubbing the decks for the boy. After some time they got dropped off at the nearest port.

Though most of the remaining crew went their own seperate way's it was Old Ben and he boy that stayed together. Seeying a little bit too much of the ocean they decided to settle down in that very port and what better way to make a living as a master fisher then starting a fish stall. Getting costumer's wasn't that hard, Port town or no most of the fishing stalls sold half rotten fish with barely and flesh on their bones. They prospered and it wasn't for long till the entire town was feeding from there hand.

Years passed by and there little fish stall had grown into an entire shop. And that wasn't the only thing that had grown. The boy was getting into his mid 30's and Old Ben, we'll he's always been old. The town had also grown and fishing near the bay just didn't do the trick anymore. Old Ben and the boy knew they had to expand. And so they invested all their savings into a ship. The "Jolly Marie", that how they called her. Named after an old sweetheart of Old Ben.

It was during their first fishing trip that the new "Captain" got his nickname.

Ben told the boy that fishing out at sea is nothing like fishing near the shore. The boy, eager to prove himself, set all his sences to sharp when his fishing bobber started to move. It was a strong figther and the boy was already boasting about his large catch before it was even ashore. With some tugging the fish was finally caught in their net and as they raised it onto the deck the Old Man started laughing like never before. The "Huge Catch" appeared to be a small frog. They didn't even bother wondering why a frog would be out in the ocean but not long after returning to shore the entire town crowned the boy with the nickname "Silly Frog" for the silliest catch ever to be done out in the seas.

Life was good for a while. There new investment proved herself to be worth it. They caught more and larger fish in one day out in the ocean then they would have for a week off the shore.

Though more core-headed merchants would have used this to expand his merchandise out of the town Old Ben and the boy where happy as it was. Instead they worked once a week and got drunk the rest of it.

One a day Old Ben wanted to try out a new spot at sea. He was certain they could catch a new record there. After some convincing the boy set a course for the spot. As the ship laid anker the crew threw out their lures, unware of the fact that they themselfs were the lure. After a few hours something knocked against the ship. The crew wasn't to worried. Then, out of the blue, the largest fish you'd ever see in a lifetime swept out of the ocean and crashed his body against the ship and reduced most of it to a large amount of toothpicks. The boy remembers blur of a huge shadow underwater, clatching himself onto a barrel and screaming for Ben. Then he blacked out only to awake on unkown shores with some of his memories gone.

The boy searched those shores for weeks hoping to find Old Ben or some of his crew. Not even a bit of Jolly Marie could be found and over time the boy gave up his search around those parts.

That was 12 years ago. The boy is 48 now and has been wandering ever since. Settleing down from place to place still hoping to find even a remote glimpse of his Old friend and his ship. Two near death experiences couldn't hold him down but the loss of his dearest friend made his heart weary and he no longer has the strenght he used to have. For once he might finally settle down in this part of Aegis. Hoping to find a new life and maybe even start a family but he'll always keep an eye out for rumors, no matter how shady, about the wereabouts of Old Ben.

Your characters ambitions:

To search in the seas in the hope to recover the remains of the "Jolly Marie" and his lifelong friend Old Ben. Though for once he might finally settle down and start a family

How much he would like to save the damsel in distress it would cost him his life and thats a price he cannot pay yet. He would walk away hoping he will never hear about what happend to the poor sod.

Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?
