Samson Option 9652 Author Share Posted May 9, 2012 The wagons sit idle upon the sandhill as the last of the Kotansmani flock to the train of wagon cars, rows of livestock, and Kotansmani that join the migration. Having dealt severe blows to Rienna and Tyr, razing Rienna specifically and damaging Tyr near beyond repair; Sauros grimaces as he faces North. He remembers what he said as they beheaded a prisoner of war at the plaza of Tyr, how he described his need to separate the Subudai further from the industrial nations. How he proclaimed that he was wary of Renatus claiming they were instruments of the Creator, that they felt more powerful than all others and which had fueled their desires to beckon Seventis under their wing. He knew that if Seventis rejected, fields of knights would paint across their plains as these presumed holy men would rape every woman till their desire was sated, kill every man that could possible oppose them. They lacked control, verily they were nothing near holy and nothing good would come of them or from them. And so the razing of Rienna... ...had been done. Sauros and his Kotansmani careful not to leave a single trace that would bring any to them. Encountering the Wolf Lady and confronting her on the doctor's supposed tale in which she killed a Kotansmani for blood, he was surprised to hear Syrmatae Vladivoj confirm that she was an older Kotansmani of his Kotan; the Kotan of Kirvel. As Rienna laid in it's burning state, the Kotansmani looked North and begin to migrate North towards Tyr. Upon arriving to Tyr... Sauros ordered all civilians to be brought forth and killed, claiming the plague had arrived. As he marched ferociously through Tyr's Hold, he began to smash chest locks with his iron-tipped tabar axe and looted the entirety of Tyr. Upon completion, he ordered the trees to be felled as he and Foros Southe grabbed picks and shovels and collapsed the rocky overhang that stood over the entrance into Tyr... ...Sauros sighs as he jostles with the buffalo (cow) that would pull the wagons; noticing the Kotansmani made two buffalo pull the ballista that they gained from dissembling Volsung Fort. He climbs the wagons and continues to cinch dragonscale onto his lamellar armor. The fight with the Black Dragon ran most vividly as Syrmatae Varin and Sauros fought the dragon through Rienna and as it attempted to ravage the Subudai Camp... Samson Option 9652 Author Share Posted May 9, 2012 As the wagon train of the migrating Subudai makes it's way through the plague-filled lands of central Seventis/Norjun at the darkest hour of night. Flanking nomads with composite bows drawn flank the wagon on all sides and ensure their migration is protected. Upon arriving at the new camp, letters fall from aloft chest lids and wagon parts as it is dissembled and handed out to every Kotansmani as they erect yurts, raise tents, and start fires. This letter, written in pitch black ink, reads... "This lettur' addresses awl' awf' my Kotansmani, hawp'fully I hav' guided each and everyone awf' yoo' tew' greater plains. EmeraldStag 165 Share Posted May 9, 2012 After arriving at the new camp, she is given the task to find an area for the Mongol tribe. As she searches, she grows weary of where would be the best area for the camp. As she walks farther into the land, she finds a small lake. She leans against the shore and uses her hands to drink some of the water. As she drinks, she realizes this would be the perfect place for the camp. She goes back to the Kagan, as she pronounces it, she asks for a sign to mark the location for the new camp. He gladly makes her one. She takes it telling him her thanks and she heads back to the lake. She reaches it and posts the sign near the shore. Searching in her pockets, she finds a piece of paper. She writes a note on it then attaches it to a bird and sends it off to find the leader of the Mongols. She watches the bird fly away. After a while she takes off her shoes and lays down in the grass near the lake. She pulls out her smooth emerald gemstone and holds it up to the sunlight. Looking at its brilliance and shine. She remembers the face of the boy she had gotten it from. She still wonders why he would give her this to her.
Stevie 1598 Share Posted May 10, 2012 *The desert winds of the Eastern Sands begin to settle down. The sand that was so tossed up and thrown about has now calmed, revealing a figure off in the distance. A mirage, maybe? But no, this figure is all too real, and he approaches with a calm demeanor, an off-white turban is wrapped around his face, revealing only his deep, heavy-set eyes. His off-white oriental robes and red shawl on his shoulders blow subtly against the much calmer wind, and the figure becomes more distinct now, approaching the Subudai encampment. *The man is also seen carrying a large pack on his back, made of dark leather and as long as his body, the traveler finally enters the Subudai camp, reunited with his two former companions. "Inshakur, Darius, welcome to the Subudai." One of them says, "We are just beginning to pitch up our tent, and we'd love your help." The other companion finishes. *The traveler nods, smiling as he bows to both the men, removing his turban completely and stuffing it away, proceeding to the sandy hill overlooking the riverbank of the camp. Upon arrival, the traveler swings around his large pack, placing it onto the sands below, reciting a short prayer before undoing some of the straps, revealing a multitude of items inside. In specific, the man pulls up a series of long drapes, sliding them across the desert, carrying them to the pitching white tent before him. *The traveler now begins to arrange the drapes onto the pure-white tent, decorating the exterior, soon working his way to the interior, adding what has been formerly known as a "Jahvid's Touch" to the normally dull pavilion. Upon completion, the tent is beautifully decorated, a glistening jewel above the sands, while one of the companions draws up the side flaps, and the three enjoy a calm and much-needed rest. In the distance, a boy draws up a sketch of the scene, with his skills as an artist showing initial purpose. *And so the three sat and talked. Talked of past events, and old memories, all the while drinking their specialty beverage, Rose Water, scented finely to the smells of the desert. The traveler, Darius is what he is called, was reunited with his companions, and ready to start anew.
Samson Option 9652 Author Share Posted May 11, 2012 Sauros clicks his tongue, signalling the cumbersome cow and bulls to stop their slow pacing. Sauros laces his wiry fingers clinched together as if saluting, but simply laying it above his eyes as he scans the plains they've traveled to. How the desert merged into green plains, swirling about on the surface in a odd array as sand slowly creeps upon the tall grasses whilst in some areas; weeds and tall grasses pierce through the sandy veil. Sauros smiles, determined that he has found a great area for the Subudai to finally settle. Looking on both of his sides, towards the wagons of the Ulfgar, Kirvel, Mongol, Jahvid, and Anatheneirai as the multiple Syrmatae nod as they scan the horizons for their own Kotans. As the bulls pulling his own wagon slow with a whining bay, they bend on their front two legs and lower themselves into a resting position; allowing Sauros to climb down the ladder that laid in between the two oxes. He raises his right hand shoulder-level and watches as the other wagons slow; in front of a river delta... He addresses the Subudai on how to form their Kotan Circles and that any land improvements must be approved by the Khagan unless a Kotan has a feasible area in their Circle to raise a small farm. With that, he watches as each Kotan empties their loaded wagons and dissemble them, using the resources to erect yurts and stand up tents... The Kotansmani stand as the sun beats down upon each one, sweating across the brows and palms, but glad to be free and further away from those who think themselves instruments of the Creator... Samson Option 9652 Author Share Posted May 11, 2012 His canoe wore uncomfortably upon his body as he rode out to investigate a distant island. It was Sauros's pastime to fish the waters that spread forth from the river delta that the new Subudai Camp sat along, he took great lengths of time to be patient with his fishing net and lines as he strolled the coastline. Recently, he began to dedicate more time in discovering the land that was shielded by such a coastline from wear and tear as he delved into sailing easterly, then north as he noticed that the coastline changed colors from a lime green; caused by algae to a glittering goldenrod caused by the sands. He had recently discovered a settlement that was formed by a 'Platinum Guard' in which Sauros put off as a silly regime of power-hungry fools from Alras or Seventis. Yet this afternoon, he had found an island in the distance; taunting him from the horizon. He could not hold himself back as he checked on his food supply within his quiver; sharing space alongside his well-made arrows with tips piercing the wheat. He embarked across the waters as he observed that no storm clouds were visible as the sun was setting and paddled outward. As he neared what he assumed was an island, he came to the realization that it was indeed a larger mass of land; in fact it was rimmed with tall dark-wood timbers. Upon banking onto the root-riddled soil and lifting up his canoe and tying a sinewy rope around a tree, Sauros embarks north. As he makes progress and writes within a papyrus parchment his findings, he stumbles upon a cobblestone path seemingly floating atop the water that fills the spaces in between a small archipelago and decides to try his footing onto the path and succeeds to walk it. He walks along the path until he enters a greatly formed settlement, hearing the guards address him with greetings, he learns that this settlement is named 'Skravia'. As he walks along, noticing the lively populace swaying within and out of the city, he makes not in his parchment privately and smiles as citizenry pass and greet him. Taking in the new faces and sights, his smile fades as he sees a man amongst the crowd, Tiberius Adiel. He stammers his latest greeting as his eyes dart and analyze Tiberius; cursing under his breathe as he realizes that it was truly him. Remembering the man as Kyrie of Rienna, one who had harbored Thork after accusing the Subudai of being bandits. After having this memory invoked, he decides to follow Tiberius as he appears to walk off towards a house. As Tiberius locks the door of the house, Sauros eyes around to find ways onto the roof as he hears noises of stairsteps. He finds a tree bristling with thick branches and proceeds to climb them nimbly and hops atop the roof of the house adjacent to the house Tiberius enters. Overhearing the conversation of how the Dragneels own the house that Tiberius was currently in, he decides to lay his body flat against the roof and listens into the conversation. He curses as he notices a man in full armor pass under his nose as he wiggles himself closer to the center of the house he laid upon. Peering into the second floor through an opened door and windows accompanying the door, he spots out Tiberius and listens into the conversation while sliding his composite bow out of his leather holster and closer to his other arm. Noticing the shift of movement towards the stairs and into the base of the house, Sauros stands erect and begins to shift himself to the side of the house he stands on; roof tiles loosening as he does. He holds his composite bow aloft in one hand as the other searches for an arrow and yanks it loose from the bread also inside his quiver as he spots Tiberius walking briskly out of the house. With a deep breathe and a solid movement of the arrow being nocked into his bow and the sinewy bowstring being pulled back; Sauros smirks as he lets an arrow loose from his bow and into Tiberius's shoulder. The panic that ensues forces Sauros to climb the roof with his body nearly flattened against it as he reaches the other side and drops off; out of sight. Hearing one of the neighbors cry out for a doctor, Sauros pulls his felt hat snugly against the skull of his head and walks closer to overhear the conversation; of how Tiberius will be brought to a hospital. After a full night searching the streets for a hospital and dodging armored guards alert to what had happened, he finally finds the hospital atop a modest bluff overlooking the city; yet ever-guarded by a looming wall of stone and laminated timber. He coolly takes his tabar axe and smashes the lock on a door leading into the wall as he looks out around him to ensure no one was observing and enters the wall; remembering the direction back towards the hospital after he lifts himself to the top of said wall. As he nears the windows of the hospital, he forces his back against the walls of the hospital and peers in, seeing Tiberius being held up by a woman nursing him to health. Chuckling under his breathe, he swiftly clears from the window as the woman looks around, asking him how his wound was feeling. With a squinted eye and one last smirk; his action brought forth a wail to cover the noise of him running along the creaking timber flooring of the walls... EmeraldStag 165 Share Posted May 12, 2012 Midori Tengu, looks off towards the sky as she thinks about the new location of the camp. She is glad that the location she found for the Mongol camp site was a perfect location. Now, she sits in her tent looking at her precious gemstone, A smooth cut emerald in an oval shape. To her, it is more valuable then any diamond or all the minas in Asulon. The stone isn't that big, roughly smaller then her palm, but still she keeps it, to remember the person that gave it to her. Before she realizes it, night comes upon her and she spends another day without doing anything.Being as late as it is, she heads to her bedroll. She lays in it and wonders about many things about the subudai. All her thoughts go towards only one thing though, She wonders why none of the others in the camp have told her to actually do anything yet. She would be fine with having a job or collecting plants and such but she has not been told to do anything and spends her days just sitting in her tent. Samson Option 9652 Author Share Posted May 12, 2012 Sauros sits cross-legged in front of his yurt, sighing peacefully as the lunar crescent emerges in full view. He addresses his companion Skunxa to survey the desert east of them and recruit the aid of the Kotansmani to break into the water table and raise wells in their stead. He then addresses Satibarzanes to gather adventurous Kotansmani to scout lands east and north for settlements, for he feels he has found a ripe target for raiding and razing. Afterwards, he re-enters his yurt, vines draping behind him as he does so and takes a deep whiff of lingering incense as Hulegui informs him that a few Kotansmani have brought herbs to him to test his growing alchemical interest with... (I am an experimental RPer Emerald, I provide the Subudai with great RP, great paths to take (raiding, scouting, raising caravan trains) as well as quests via NPC delivery, as for your Kotan specifically, Viper3X has been a bit busy shooting video for the GM deanofantastico I believe.
