RP Name: Halfdan

Village Name: Jovaskarr

Why is your character starting this village/settlement? What is its purpose? A decendant of Salex, leader of the Norsemen of Heimdall, Halfdan set out across Asulon after his fathers death. He and other people settled on a mountain-island off the coast of Hanseti and Renatus. They then made small wooden huts, being temporary. When Jovaskarr is established, Halfdan would wish to expand off the mountain-island, and into Hanseti. Halfdan has no love for Hanseti, he had hatred and anger for the Tuetonic Order and Hanseti's people. They killed his uncle, Tfol, and would like nothing more, than to boast the mountains of Hanseti. So, with Halfdan's vision in place, he plans to renew the legacy of the once-great Viking.

What type of political system or leadership is within the village?

The people of Jovaskarr answer to Halfdan. Although they have their own free will. Once bigger and stronger, Halfdan will assert himself as 'Jarl'.

What sort of behavior will residents exhibit? (Race relations, nation relations, etc.)

Halfdan is more or less, aquaintances with King Tarus, and plans to have friendly relations with them, if Unfvarr grows. He also has a burning hatred for Hanseti, as their men killed his uncle, Tfol, in a Galahar raid. He welcomes Humans, preferably Northerners, and Dwarves, preferably Mountain. He is wary of Elves, having little to no interaction with them, and dislikes Orcs, as they nearly killed him and his friend, Norris, in a raid.

If you haven't read the excellent book, "The Viking Saga" I strongly reccomend you do! Not only is it quite an interesting book, it taught me a LOT more then wikipedia, or any other information source did.

I'm still not sure why he should get a new name. Many of the cities in LotC, has a name from either "IRL" or from a "GAME". I mean, the word may be annoying, but just remind yourself on that.

I have yet to run into a city with the name Al'Khazar in my travels both cyber and real. And this one sticks out a bit to me merely due to the fact that I am a Skyrim junky... Why don't we just make a few new cities and name them Whiterun, Solitude, and Riften? Think that would go over well?

-edit: I am done worrying about this, I have nothing more to "contribute" besides changing the name.

-If- you took the time to READ my comments, it has been scrapped. I did not -know- that it was from Skyrim, I have barely played the game myself, a friend gave me the name, I changed it around a bit and thought it was a-okay. But I suddenly found myself under attack by Lykos, KoTopameva [spell check dat ****] etc. People have -1'd my post, sent my berating PMs through TS and via email. If you didn't notice, I scrapped the project due to the harshness of these people. I wanted to create a more Viking-based group, and everyone shot me, and put me down. Not gently. -IF- People were to offer suggestions whilst being kind and not overall rude, I still would probably be playing on this server, -but- LOTC players have been just plain assholes to me lately, and not making me want to be a part of this server anymore. You have ruined LOTC for a 6-month veteran player. I bid thee farewell. I had fun guys, but I will take my RP elsewhere.

I apologize for not suggesting anything, I was not trying to make a personal attack on you (Only thing addressed to you was my first post, as unhelpful as it was), and I have not -1'd your post. It is a great idea, and you shouldn't scrap it. And If my language was a bit bitey, it was in response to Vanus, which I had accidentally allowed myself to enter a bit of a flame war with.

I apologize to both parties for my oversights, and I will only post anything if it is helpful... Speaking of that, I can research up' some better names for you if you'd like. Don't scrap it.
