Out-Of-Character:

Minecraft Account Name:

Zigge313

Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?:

No

How old are you?:

20

Time-Zone/Country of Residence:

(GMT + 1:00 hours) Sweden

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:

Yes

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

I keep my real name to myself, so you can just call me Zigge.

I am a simple man, with a simple life in a country that I love. I am only one among many on this earth, nothing more to say about me. I tend not to make a big fuss about myself, so let us carry on with this application.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

7 - 28 hours, depends on my work and my mood.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.:

Roleplaying, it is when you create a character and act as him/her in a fictional world, in this case "Lord of Craft". A world which is full of adventures, life choices, goals and a huge story behind it. Everything is possible, within the rules of course.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

I would say that Metagaming is when you use out of character information in the game, for example: You have found out the secret location of a enemy clan on the forum, then you use that information ingame to locate them. That is Metagaming for me.

Powergaming in my opinion is when a you attempt to control the story around your character so he will gain an advantage as well as not giving the other player characters the opportunity to act as they want to. Forcing others to play along with your story or actions, without any freedom to do something about it.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

Hopefully a server that won't constantly crash and remove everything you have worked for.

A place where even a new fellow as myself can be given a chance to start from the bottom and climb amongst the members to the top.

I just want this to be a good roleplaying server, more or less.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I have only played on 1 server before, Bettercraft - the Server was lagging, crashed from time to time, too much PvP and the moderators was abusing the rules. A vile and corrupt server indeed.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:

Yes

How did you hear about us?:

I searched on Minestatus, I found BetterCraft the same way.

Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?

No, not yet

What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?:

Zigge

In-Character:

Character Name:

Brokk Wayland MacGowan

What is your Race?:

Dwarf

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Son to a blacksmith, Brokk Wayland MacGowan was born under the sound of hammer blows and the heat of a forge-fire. Son to a blacksmith in a small, isolated town far away from all the worlds troubles, even cut off from other Dwarven clans. His clan was a small and simple family, neither powerful nor wealthy, but able to survive the test of time through hard work and harder fighting. Unlike other avaricious and warlike clans, his did not strive for anything else than to earn their own living. Why the MacGowan Clan decided to live so far away from civilization has never been truly explained, possibly since the clan is touchy about their past, almost ashamed, and will do their best to avoid speaking about it; they take their shrouded history very seriously indeed.

A dangerous place to grow up in, the treacherous mountains conditioned Brokk to develop an instinctive distrust and suspicion of any non-clan members. His trust is difficult, if not impossible to gain, and lost at the drop of a hat. As stubborn as his father, rough, hardened and sometimes even a bit short-tempered, once he has decided on something he is next to impossible to convince otherwise. Thankfully, he has a weak spot for a mug filled with ale and a good smoking pipe, something so small able to change his whole mindset about a new suggestion or companion. Shunning the complexity of magic and the arcane, he prefers traditional and simplistic close combat. Similarly, he isn’t particularly fond of other races, nearly incapable of placing his trust in any non-Dwarf.

As he grew older, Brokk grew bored of his small, boxed-off world in the mountains. He loved his parents and his clan, but he couldn't figure out just what he was supposed to accomplish in such an isolated corner of the world. Pondering his purpose and his future, he took up the life of an adventurer in an effort to find fulfillment. After so many years of living in isolation from the world, Brokk was somewhat reluctant to leave his idyllic corner of the mountains for the world outside - even today he still longs for his quaint hometown, but a combination of his adventuring lifestyle and stubborn nature keep him out and about in the vast expanse of the world.

Your characters ambitions:

To figure out just what it is he is suppose to accomplish, finding a purpose.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

"EY! Which one of ya beardless elf-kissing fellas would like to taste my axe first?" says Brokk with a huge grin on his face while walking towards the group. One of the bandits turns around and looks at him before saying " What did you just say to me?" As quickly as a stone falls to the ground Brokk replied "Ha! Are ya deaf, ya rust-bucket? I bet ya can't even swing that fancy sword of yours!" The Bandit suddenly starts to run towards him in rage and tries to hit Brokk with his sword. Brokk repels the enemies slashing attack as good as he can, but he quickly realizes that the bandit is no ordinary thug, this one has skills.

From nowhere, a dagger flies through the air and cuts deep into the bandit's back. With a scream, his opponent falls flailing to the ground. Brokk stands wide-eyed, wondering over what just happened, but then he catches sight of the elf. He was now alone and at the elves feet he sees the other bandit's body lying on the ground with a dagger in his stomach. Brokk starts to smile and says to the elf: "Ey ya, he wer suppose tae be mine. But that's okay, ya can thank me instead for distracting them"

Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

"Aye, fella. Ah understaun that ya selling stuffs here. ye wouldnae huv a boatle of ale here tae?"
