Out-Of-Character:

Minecraft Account Name:HeroicCookie

Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?:No I didn't.

How old are you?:I have orbited the sun 18 times.

Time-Zone/Country of Residence:CST/USA

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:

Yes, English is my first and only language.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

I've been roleplaying for about 3-4 years now in games such as Runescape and Second Life. I live in the middle of no where, and love it!

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

5-7 days a week for a couple of hours.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.:

It's like writing a story, but with lots of people contributing, and in games it's like a book with pictures... I like pictures :)

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.I consider it Powergaming when somebody attempts to describe what someone else is doing. EG: *HeroicCookie throws rock at Bob* Then Bob might say something like *Heroiccookie has a bad pitching arm so he missed* This is frowned upon and should not be done in roleplay. I believe Metagaming is when you act upon OOC information while you are IC. Or any info that your character would otherwise not know.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I expect it to be full of mature intelligent players all contributing to this grand story, hopefully involving me.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I've only played on servers hosted by me and friends, and I still do.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:

Yes, I've read, understood, and agreed to the rules.

How did you hear about us?:

Word of mouth from friends who are already on the server.

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

I like to think of thievery more as a profession then a hobby. It's not only kept me fed, but kept me wealthy as well. I remember the first time I took something that wasn't mine. It seemed harmless at the time. Just some food to hold me thru the day. I nearly had my hand cut off for that one, but I don't regret it one bit. It made me who I am today. Going on 23 years of age practicing the art of thievery since I was barely five. Whenever I'm not "on duty", you'll find me tinkering on equipment and gadgets for bigger and better heists. You see, I'm not just any petty thief. I'm the best! You would think I had hundreds of men helping me, and that I had spent weeks planning every heist, and that's exactly what I want you to think. I work alone, and I make it up as I go along.

My father was a watch maker, so my experience in tinkering came from him. I used to watch him work on them all the time. I always thought about what other uses a gear or spring could have other then for watches. When he made them, he always added something magical that would make it tick. However in Asulon there hasn't been much need for watches as of lately. He had to shut his shop down. That's how the thieving career began. It all started with an empty stomach.

But I couldn't stop just there. The thrill and excitement of danger and risk, with the rewards that matched. There was no stopping me. No matter how many near death experiences I had, I had to keep doing it.

I had no brothers nor sisters, and I never knew my mother. So after my father died it really hit me hard. I knew he didn't approve of my stealing, but he didn't stop me either, because it kept food on the table. I couldn't do it anymore tho. I swore I would work harder and get everything legitimately after that. I started to make toys for children, and even I enjoy playing with them. They remind me of the days when everything made sense.

After a few years, I worked hard to earn up money. I was good at making toys and I ended up being very successful. I've been able to afford nice colorful clothing, a house and even some livestock for food. I was happy again. But something was still missing. I had to find out what it was. I searched everywhere, but nothing worked, until something glittering caught my eye. I knew at that moment what I was missing.... Thrill, danger, risk! I needed these!

Donning my cloak and dagger I set out to see if I "still had it." and I did... and I do. I am now twenty five years of age. Toy creator by day, Heist master by night.

Your characters ambitions:

To seek adventure and danger wherever it may lie. Thrill is my bread and risk is my water. As long as I have these, I will survive.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

I would make a remark to myself about petty bandits, then make my move. I have a rule when I steal. NO ONE GETS HURT UNLESS IT'S ME! This obviously doesn't apply to these bandits, so I can't just stand around and do nothing. I throw myself in front of the Elf ready to be hit by the force of the bandit's blows. After being beaten to a pulp, the bandits would attempt to check me for a coin purse and find nothing. Bored they would walk away muttering about how much gold they made off the Elf. The Elf would help me up and thank me, I would then give him his coin purse back to his surprise. "How did yo-?" "Don't mention it."

I would then walk off with any coins the bandits had on them. I'm not getting beat up without profit.

Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

Looking him in the eye I would start up an excited conversation on the apples he was selling. "Those look just like the apples I took with me as I traveled the mountains to the north." "You've traveled those mountains?" asked the owner. "Why of course!" I would then take a bite of one of his apples. "Ah! They taste like them too!" "That's amazing!" he would say. This conversation would carry on for a while. I would then take my leave without ever paying for the apple, except in stories. Nor would the owner ever notice until I was out of hearing range.

Other Information: Thank you for the criticism from my last app. I worked so much more on this one, I hope it's a much better read! Also in the lore I couldn't find how long ago people moved into Asulon. Is there any info on that? I am aware that I am not allowed to do any thieving until after a week and I've applied and been accepted as a villain.

I was reading some of the other applications and I'm a bit confused on the roleplay questions part. While most everyone has encouraged that you make the story interesting and that I have complete control over what happens. I've seen someone denying them with the reason that they used "powergaming" to answer the questions.

I understand but you cannot make a character thieve stuff. Even If you do get an app you should change it a bit so

This Application has been

~DENIED~

Reasons

-Unrealistic/Doesn't follow lore in Biography

-Commiting Villainous acts without a Villain Application

-Powergamed, Magically getting the bandits coins. Doesn't work like that~

-And Powergaming Definition isn't correct

Please Re-post after 48 hours thanks.
