Robin Drake 731 Share Posted January 31, 2012 After a long arduous trek along the winding roads of Salvus, you enter it's capital Solace. The darkness sweeps over the plains and the chill begins to bite at your heels. You look around and notice a grand building, not far from the gates. As you approach you see a sign hanging from the floor above. It reads, "The Waystone Inn". You breath into your hands, warming them with anxiety of the warmth and safety of the inn. Stepping across the planked floor you push against the heavy wooden doors, they open making an audible thud against the inner wall of the small corridor. You notice a downstairs floor with a stone-topped counter and scrolls on the wall behind. The man behind the counter looks up briefly as he cleans his personal stein and bares little heed to you as you come down the stairs. You walk up to the counter and drop your heavy bad to the floor causing you stretch as the weight is relieved from your shoulders. You look up and take a better look at the scrolls nailed to the wooden interior behind the counter. They read as: Parchment 1: Rooms: 17 minas per night + a slice'o bread Parchment 2: Food: Bread: 15 minas, Salted Pork: 20 minas Parchment 3: Ale: 10 minas, Solace Stout: 15 minas Parchment 4: Horo Mead: 13 minas, Arma Wine: 15 minas You ask about the room availability. The response from the innkeeper was a head motion to your left, you look in the direction and notice more parchment on the walls. You approach it and notice it is a list of the rooms. You ask about the rooms and are given a key to room 5. You place 17 minas on the counter and are shown up towards the room by the innkeeper. You look around as you follow him, admiring the inn as you travel through it. You are led into the room which you paid for the night and look around. The innkeeper says that you will get the bread in the morning if you wish. It seems that they get their bread from the bakery so it tends to be fresh in the morn. You nod your head and get ready sleep. Morning rises and you head down towards the tavern in what seems like the bowels of the inn when you are traveling down two sets of stairs. You look over the balcony as you see humble traders selling their wares and the simple people of Solace continuing their normal everyday lives. You approach the counter and set the key upon it as you see the innkeeper tearing a loaf of bread in two and putting it infront of you. You smile as you lift it from the counter and make your way towards the exit. Just before you leave you hear the innkeeper mutter, "Stay safe on your travels, lad" as he dries another tankard. You smile and swing open the door. You are greeted with a mild breeze as you End your brief stay in The Waystone Inn
Pepernoot 51 Share Posted February 1, 2012 ((Looked around to get a room there once for the night, but there was noone to help me, maybe hire some people to work in the inn? You might also need a few more seats (stairs with paintings) at the bar downstairs, people like to sit down after a long journey.))

Robin Drake 731 Author Share Posted February 2, 2012 (( Pay me lark Though continuous long term staying in the inn will not be allowed. It's an inn after all. Not like the boarding houses of Aegis.)) I shall be having a look out for some able bodied innkeepers or wenches to help maintain the Waystone Inn when I am busy with my lordly duties. If you leave a letter at the bar I would be happy to read it. Perhaps also include a meeting time and place for we may need to have a word 1 to 1 too discuss possible hiring. ((forum pm in character please))
