What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.:

Roleplaying has the meaning right in the word. It is the act of taking on a Role and Playing out that role as if he or she was a real, living, breathing person.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

Metagaming is the act of taking information that your character doesn't currently know and using that information to the character's advantage.

Powergaming is the act of doing something that is realistically possible for your character to do, usually in his or her character's favor.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I expect this server to be like diving into a fantasy world, and by the title, I'm guessing it will have many themes from the J.R.R. Tolkien novels of the Lord Of The Rings.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I've played on a server called MatCat's SMP but it really didn't have the feel of the server I wanted to play. When I found out that role-playing servers actually existed, I went to Minestatus and found LotC.

I found LotC through Minestatus.

What is your Race?:

I am a dwarf.

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

The village I grew up in was a nice and peaceful village located near an river. I lived with my grandfather, who was the elder of the village. So his house was on a hill, overlooking the rest of the village. My 49th birthday came and my best friend Gila gave me a red mushroom as my present. Then on the night after my birthday a great storm came to my village and and the river flooded, sweeping away most of the village including Gila's house. Once the storm passed the survivors searched the debris of the village for days and nights for other survivors. In the end no else was found, including Gila. The rest of the village packed what they could salvage, and started rebuilding the village. Days passed, then weeks. Soon the weeks turned into years and the village forgot of that fateful night. All but me, because I knew out there somewhere my friend was still alive. So one night placing the red mushroom Gila gave me in my hair, I set out searching for my lost friend.

Your characters ambitions:

Knurla is an ambitious herder of various types of animals. While watching over her flock, she likes shooting her bow on various targets she has placed around the farm. Over time she become proficient in the art of Archery and now wields her bow as her primary weapon of choice.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

I would walk up to the bandits and help the elf fend them off. Then I would turn to the elf and ask if he is okay. Then I would bid good day and leave. Then continuing on my way, as if nothing ever happened.

Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

I would answer "Hello, I would like some bread, please." The shop owner answers "How much bread would you like?" My reply is "Four loaves of bread, please". The shop owner nod hands me my bread, and I would pay for it. "Thank you, come again" the shop owner replies. I smile and nod saying "I sure will." As I walk out the door I wave goodbye.
