zortjr 32 Share Posted February 17, 2012 I will soon be in charge of the treasury of Karik and I have noticed that the money of each kingdom is held by the current ruler and is very unorganized with payments. I would like to know if it would be possible to have an alternate money account for the kingdom itself. This way when taxes are collected it would go directly into a separate account and not have to worry about mixing money. It would also keep the money together when positions of power change. (I have no idea if this is even possible but I think this would benefit all kingdoms)

MediocreGamer 838 Share Posted February 17, 2012 Yep, I store my money on a Bank Account which sits in my coffers that are located deep within the royal vault.
Aerinyes 402 Share Posted February 17, 2012 I don't believe bank alts are allowed. It trivializes the coding put in to make death have a penalty. If you have a nation's treasury then you have plenty enough to hire someone to protect you while traveling. You have plenty to hire someone to do the accounting to keep the personal amount and nation's amount separate. I manage two character's personal funds, my Mori's house funds, and my Dark Elf's Malinor fund she gets for her tasks within the council all on a single LOC account. Its not really that hard. The main issue that these people aren't bringing up is the 8,000-20,000 they lose when they die. The answer to that is stop dying. Hire military/guards. Or don't put all your eggs in one basket. Spread out the treasury amongst your nobles, councilmen, ect.

I do not die, but I do not think carrying 480,000 mina of the Kingdoms money around in my pocket is proper RP either.

Could set it to 25,000. Now you'll need to hire accountants, brokers, and such to hold a nation's treasury. A nation isn't one person after all so I don't see this being an issue. MediocreGamer 838 Share Posted February 18, 2012 My treasure is located within the coffers which are overseen by my grand merchant. If someone would have the RP means to break into these coffers after getting past all the mechanisms guarding the royal vault they would be able to obtain the mina within the coffers which is on the MC account which is in the actual vault itself. Do you feel this isn't sufficient RP?
