The death of Horus Harthorn

Snowy, the ground was. We faced off. Me and Horus. It was during one of my rounds, inspecting and telling Horus a few issues regarding New Sorovitz. Nothing serious. But then, he came.

We stared at each other. My stormy grey eyes against his odd magical purple eyes. I wore a iron chest plate with a cross on the plate, and he summoned a spectral dark suit of armor. As black as night. I kept thinking how did this happen...

Horus collapsed during the inspection tour. I was worried about him when he started explaining something about his "other" side. I was confused. I knew Horus for some 20 years, but admittedly rarely met with him other than for business and issues. Never did any other Sarient tell me about this supposed "second being" that lived within Horus.

His eyes turned from grey to purple, and he took on a cold condescending tone. He laughed and asked me questions. I couldn't risk killing him, I might kill Horus if that was the case. Better to play along. He wanted information, for the Enderman. I have no idea what the nether is he talking about. A enderman officer living within Horus? Thats just insanity. He asked me questions about the realm, failure to do so would result in my death.

I made a counteroffer. If I answer all the questions, this thing would have to free Horus, but if I fail, he can do what he pleases with me. He laughed and sneered at me, but accepted the deal. Thats alright, I know everything about the realm. The questions were strange and precise, one was what was the thickness of the floorboard that Horus made in the theater. He was toying with me, and I knew that I wouldn't stand a chance if I let him be in power of the questions. I decided a risky move, to argue back that his logic was wrong, and that Horus did not know what he was doing. The "other" side became enraged.

We were fighting back and forth in a tug-of-war-of-knowledge, until Rylen showed up. That was when it went downhill.

The "other" Horus smiled coldly, with a look of amusement in his eyes. ****, he was gonna prey on Rylen, who knew nothing about the realm save for some unknown ruins. I took over, and beat "Other Horus" in his questionnaires. I won. We're going home. I would get my friend back.

"No. I wont let you take him back"

The other Horus hissed, purple gas emitting from his throat. **** just got real. He finally cracked, knowing it was futile to beat me in knowledge. He gave me a choice. Either let Rylen be murdered in front of my eyes, or I have to kill him, and Horus along with the body.

I made a third option, I sent Rylen to get for help, and I stopped the "Other Horus" trying to chase him.

That's how it happened it seems. Now I'm faced with two choices. Either I let Horus kill me, and hopefully the ender within him would somehow go away, or I can kill him, save my skin, and prevent any further casualties. What a pain in the neck.

I grip my stone axe. I came to New Sorovitz, expecting to see some lovely houses, and take a look at this supposed Cider Farm Horus was developing. Luckily I made it a point to wear armor when traveling.

The Ender Horus wielded some magical axe, it looked pretty much like a diamond axe, but with a glowy aura and spectral feel to it. I highly doubt I could beat him. But Ender Horus only wore a black chest plate, and had the rest of his body exposed. That is my chance.

Ender Horus is still a mortal. If I loop off his head or slice his neck, he would collapse and die. I just pray to Rohkeus to give me strength and courage to do this.

We circled each other for a good 3 minutes now, snow falling, it was screwing u my vision. He made the first one. Kicking up a bunch of snow, Ender Horus charged at me. I made a side step, and slashed him in the back. He growled like a feral beast, but with purple gas emitting from his throat.

We clashed. Axe to axe. My stone axe was no match for his diamond. It was chipping away while his was at good durability. I had one trick up my sleeve, the same trick I used to kill Vardak the minion. I stood still in the snow, and let Horus charge at me.

As expected, he was in blood rage. He aimed for my stomache, but at the last minute, I sidestepped. I was pierced with the tip of tha axe near my left kidney. I grunted, in pain. But the pain gave me strength, and I gripped the axe still in me, and brought mine down on his head.

It rolled on the snow, staining the beautiful white with rose red colours. The purple eyes became a sunken grey socket, and Horus's headless body collapsed to the ground. Rylen came by, with his head in his panties, asking if I was okay, and amazed at how I managed to kill something so strong.

I felt empty. I felt like ****. Why?

I murdered my own friend.

I dragged the body through the snow, and reached Hanseti. I had Dagwood bandage my wound, but it hurt as nether lava being poured on me. I placed the body in a empty chest in my home, and draped the Teutonic Order flag on his body, to hide the wounds I inflicted so I need not be reminded how he died.

I met Lysle Rigger, and arranged a funeral for Horus. He came to the home, and we carried the coffin to the graveyard by Memorial Hill. We went down the stairs, into a crypt, and there Lysle begin treating Horus's lifelss body to some herbs and aromatic oils.

I try not to gag, but when Lysle cuts open his stomach and intestines, I cant help but retch by the side. It was bad enough to see just a small bit when I sliced the body with my axe, but having it displayed for the entire world to view it....I couldn't take it. But I caused this, so I should be with Horus to the end. I held Horus's limp body up for Lysle to apply treatment on him. He sewed and cleaned the wounds, painted the face, and wiped it down of sweat and grim. If I didn't know better, Horus was just sleeping, but had sunken eyes.

I remembered I picked up the axe Horus had, and decided it would be a good idea to bury it with him, as to help him cross the River of Caeu and challenge Fagari, to be admitted into the Halls of Lighthalzen, the same with Abeam, Gaius, Segari.

I carried the coffin with the peaceful Horus, up the to grave, while Lysle fetched his spade and dug a small 3 feet hole in the earth for the coffin. He then placed the axe inside the coffin, positioned so Horus held it on his chest. The position of a guardian. He definitely deserved that title, after all he's done for the Realm.

I gave a small note to Lysle, and he took a marble plaque and chiseled it on the black stone grave I placed for him.

I clutch my heart, and say little to the tombstone. What more is there to say, and by the man who killed him?

I wonder what Jorgen, Syblix, and Renzbro will do now Horus is not there to lead them...

I walk away from the grave after giving Lysle the funeral fee. I stare blankly at the snow falling from the sky. Flashes of axes, blood spilling from Horus's head and neck. Who knew the human body had such a large capacity for blood? Horus's head dyeing the white snow rose red... I probably will never be rid of this memory for as long as I live...

I still feel responsible for this action. Had I been not so eager to tell Jack about the new ruins I found I wouldn't have sparked the anger of that Ender being in possession of Horus.

I am so sorry...

*Sherlock passes through memorial hill, and paces up to the grave-stone, he lays down a bouquet of Solacian telipsa flowers, the blue and purple sparkling in the morning dew, he gets back up from placing the flower as a single transparent tear rolls off his cheek and onto the snowy ground. He smiles, in grace that he is at peace now, and walks away from the graveyard, in content.*
