1.) Donators won't screw us over.

2.) GM's won't screw us over.

3.) FM's won't screw us over.

See a trend there?

Many normal members are trolls.

Yet the potential successors are left behind. Where's justice in that?

It's not about justice or fairness, it's about having a talented and responsible writer.

So what's the point of making a public competition then?

So... only people who have spare money can donate. And people who don't have spare money can't get this job, meaning they can't take the job for the money.

So that if there is some incredible and mature writer who happens to not be a VIP or above, he/she may be aware and possibly receive and exception.

What about 50$ donators, ive got all the rest...

If you're an exceptionally good writer, and believe you could handle the position better then alot of the server's other writers, try your luck and create an application, it does state that (rare) exceptions can be made. But your chances of being accepted are improved if you are in one of the listed groups.

You're supposed to format it yourself.

AKA, Use Fonts, sub-headers and headers, colors, et cetera, to make it look-good/easy-to-read.

Thank you for clearing up my confusion.

Well, I've seen my share of donators that fit into the 'troll' and '**** us over' bracket. Nevertheless, a donator is less likely to do so than a random member, and a full GM/FM restriction prevents people who may be excellent writers but not good moderators from applying.

The way I see it from reading this, if you're the best available, you'll get the job. If you're sufficient and a Donator/GM/FM appliciant is equally sufficient, they'll get the job because they have more to lose from going crazy.

One question though. How does a Lorewriter '**** us over'? A GM can wipe all the regions, explode everyone, cause havoc, a FM can unban every bannee ever, an Admin can destroy the server in minutes. A Lorewriter can... um... I'm stuck here. Lore is easily retracted, and it all gets approved by the Senior Management anyway. It takes one news post to retract, for example, the 'Halflings are now Jedi' lore.

I would not mind giving some time to work as Loremaster free of pay, albeit I will say that I may have a bit of a stringent schedule, but I am fully capable of making time to do pure writing as I actually do anyways.
