Out-Of-Character:

Minecraft Account Name:

Steve4220

Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?:

Did not attend

How old are you?:

21

Time-Zone/Country of Residence:

Central Time/US

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:

Absolutely. I always use proper grammar, even in my text messages.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

I am a light-hearted, kind and funny person. I get along very well with all the people I meet. I've been playing Minecraft for a little over a year (since it went Beta), but I've never done any role-playing on any servers. I'd like to try something new.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

At least 2-4 hours a day, so probably around 25 hours or so a week.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.:

It is the experience of immersing yourself into an imaginary world, where you become someone else and play the part. I've played RP games before (tabletop turn-based such games; D&D, Mutants & Masterminds, etc.) but never with Minecraft. I think it would be an incredible experience.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

Metagaming is using out-of-character information to be based upon the decisions of the in-game character, unbeknownst to him/her.

Powergaming is someone roleplays things which may be impossible to do, leaving the other player defenseless.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I can only hope it will be a full-fledged fantasy world, full of beauty and a great community.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

A freebuild server called "Exodus". We started with ten or so people, and over time it dwindled down to about four. I got tired of being the only person who logged in everyday to an empty server, so I left. I believe they have since then shut down.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:

Yes.

How did you hear about us?:

I saw it on the minestatus list.

Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?

Not yet, I will vote if I get whitelisted.

What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?:

In-Character:

Character Name:

Etzo Regal

What is your Race?:

Human

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Etzo was born in a small cottage to a couple named Marelda and Johura. With thick, wavy brown hair, and an ever-growing smile, he knew he was right for this world. His father was a blacksmith, as was his father before him. Growing up Etzo learned a lot of valuable skill sets such as mining, smelting and crafting tools, and not to mention proper sword handling.

But as he grew comfortable with his surroundings, they were snatched from him just as quickly. On the eve of his 20th birthday, his parents vanished without a trace. Etzo knew his parents well enough to know that they would never desert him, and that's when he suspected foul play. Now he's on his own, only hoping that one day he can exact retribution upon whomever caused such a disastrous occurrence.

Your characters ambitions:

To mine, discover, explore, and conquer.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

Etzo pauses as he sees the quarrel. The helpless elf is desperately trying to defend himself against the two bandits who seem to be taking immense joy from the situation. As they look in Etzo's direction, they let the elf drop to the ground.

"What are you lookin' at?" one of them shouts to Etzo. He is somewhat paralyzed from the sight of the bloody elf, and doesn't respond.

"Keep moving! You didn't see nothin'!" the other bandit yells.

"Oh..." Etzo says, as he slowly reaches for the hilt of his sword, "I most certainly did."

Without any warning, Etzo leaps toward the two outlaws. He may not be as large as them, but he had the element of surprise seeing as how they definitely weren't expecting him to do anything. In one swift motion, Etzo slices a few fingers off of the bandit before impaling his torse with his blade.

The other bandit stood in disbelief, but quickly moved to a position to defend himself. As he lunged for Etzo, he blocked his swing, and countered the balace for his favor. The bandit fell face first into the dirt, and Etzo immediately shoved his boot into the bandit's back, ensuring that he wouldn't be getting up.

"You want to die today?" he asked the criminal. To Etzo's surprise, no words came out. He just frantically shook his head as he wimpered underneath him.

"Then go back to your little den of bandits, and tell them that the elves are off limits. You got that?"

The bandit nodded as his breathing changed to that of a relieved man. Etzo confiscated his sword and dagger, pulled him up off the ground, and shoved him towards the woods. He fled the scene without another word.

"Thank...thank you." the elf said, laying on the ground holding his side.

Etzo nodded in his direction, and helped him back into the cabin. After that, he was back on the road.

He always did have a weakness for the elves.

Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

"Just...browsing" Etzo replies, even though his heart isn't fully in the statement. The truth is, he has no money to pay his expenses, and he's found himself wandering into the shelter of the shop away from the cold rain.

The shopkeep has seen this play a thousand times before, but never has he felt such pity on an undeserving soul.

As Etzo continues to "browse", he picks up a golden-yellow loaf of bread.

"That's three gold, son." the owner states. Etzo begins to fumble, "I, uh...."

"Don't have the gold?" the shop owner answers, almost without skipping a beat. Etzo is taken aback somewhat, but he realizes his arguments would be futile. "No." he replies, "No I don't."

"Well I tell ya what." the merchant says. "You take that there loaf, and maybe you can run some errands for me every now and then."

The young man hesitates, he's never felt comfortable with accepting people's charity. "I'm not sure, I mean that seems like a lot..."

"Fine," the owner continues, "I'll throw in a few apples, and this sturdy leather sack. Plus you can bunk on the cot in the storage room for the night."

Etzo is shocked and almost speechless, but he manages to squeeze out five simple words.

"Why are you doing this?"

The shop owner chuckles. "I know a weary soul when I see one. Hell, we've all made mistakes we're not so proud of. But we gotta look out for our own here in Aegis, right?"

A smirk slides across Etzo's worn-out face. "Right." he replies.

"Go get some rest, boy."
