Yes. I can understand everyone and make myself understood. My spelling isn't perfect but I always try to make myself clear.

My name is Joacim Bäcklund and I live in Sweden. I finished school about 2 years ago and I am now unemployed. In my spare time I like to hang out with my girlfriend or play some video games.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

About 2-3 hours a day.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

Roleplaying for me is to express yourself and your fantasy in a character that you want to be. Roleplaying can be done both IRL and in fiction (video games etc. I have experience with both). Roleplaying can also mean being a character you can never be in the real modern world.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:

I have several years of experience being a medieval re-enactor, visiting fairs and markets. I also use to roleplay in games such as Minecraft, World of Warcraft etc. I have at least 3 years of experience from RP:ing online.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

For me it is when a roleplaying character acts as if he knows things he shouldnt. For example:

You are playing a scenario of a board game with your friends.

- "The fellowship entered the dark forest and suddenly a black figure jumps out from the trees and starts swinging his sword."

The one who plays the character Brynjar then says IRL:

- "Ah, screw that! The text says its only a rat man. I cant die from that! I'll charage him head on!"

But his character in game can't know that. He only sees a dark shadow armed with a sword.

He has then ruined the art of the roleplaying and is now using whats called Metagaming - using knowledge, logic or other forms of information that is not availabe to your character.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:

A player who strives to get the highest score, most kills, best equipment without any feel or realism for his own role. He doesnt play the game to have fun and enjoy its lore and feature. He only plays to stand on top of the scoreboards then probably quit to go and play a new game.

Example: You play with a group online. You deicide to take on a quest from the King. During the quest the powergamer only strives for a maximal killstreak to level up, loots all the good stuff for himself, takes all the money and when the dialogue from NPCs comes he skips it and rushes on.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I expect it to be like reading a fantasy novel, but I can be a part of it and maybe change the course of events, which I can't in other games nor books. I expect people to really try their best for the greatest roleplaying experience in Minecraft, thats atleast what I am going to do.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I have played on at least 50 servers since the Alpha of Minecraft.I wanted to try different game modes, meet new people. Many servers were taken down for various reasons, attacks from griefers and so on. One of the servers I've been the longest on is Wolfs Mysiga Derp.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Leidon is a 25 year old alchemist and herbalist. He was born in the small village on the countryside. He has always had a fascination for nature, plants and life.

Leidon often had to accompany his father Yrkem to the forest. Yrkem and Leidon were very alike. Both had long brown curly hair and dark eyes. They were almost the same height, Yrkem being a little shorter. Yrkem was a woodcutter and Leidon used to help him with all the hard work. He didn't mind being in the forest at all, since he could be closer to nature that way.

When Leidon was 18 years old, his father died from illness. Leidon then left his family home in Durga to make money to survive. He never wanted to be a woodcutter anyway. He stashed some supplies and few coins in his backpack and started to wander the path away from the village until he came upon a larger town. He managed to find work at the local alchemist drugstore and there he learned about the art of herbalism and potion brewing. But Leidon wanted to know more.

One night at the local tavern he had a chat with a man in a robe. The man claimed to be from a place called Hanseti College of the Arcane. When Leidon heard the story of that place he realized that it was there he could get the answers to all his quesions.

He then used some of his savings to buy himself some travelling gear and a brown hooded robe to protect against weather and wind.

And so his journey began..

What is your Character's ambitions?:

Leidon wishes to learn about magic and all the enchantments known to man. Collecting books and reading about old lore, hoping to learn as much as possible. He is interested in the Hanseti College of the Arcane and will travel there to join them.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):

The hoe. Needed to harvest plants and fruits to make powerful potions.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?

Leidon is an experienced alchemist and herbalist. He has dedicated much time experimenting with several brews. He knows about life and the nature and which plants make the best potions.

Leidon is also very interested in magic. He doesnt know any magic himself but he has easy to learn and whishes to seek further knowledge in the matter.

Other Information about your Character:

Leidon has a fear of ghosts, something that slows him down in his travels and search for knowledge and alchemy ingredients. He is determined to come up with a ward that could "kill" ghosts. He believes he can be able to learn that in the Arcane College.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

Leidon would call out a loud "Hrm!" so that the guards would turn to him. He would bash the foes with his wandering staff, temporary stunning them and letting the covering halfling escape.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Leidon would ask the man if he had anything useful for an alchemist. If not, he would excuse himself and walk away.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Leidon would look around making sure the place really is abandonned. Then he would take the golden sword for protection and value to trade in later. The iron bars are far too heavy to carry in the wilds so he would leave them be for another traveler.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

Leidon would greet them back. If they would to offer him to sit down by fire with them he would gladly join them. There is always something one can learn from another. Perhaps they make to be good friends.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

If Leidon could stay out of it, he would. He doesnt have much over for violence and as long as the bandits didnt concern him, they were the town guards own problem. If he, however, needed to take the occupied path he would attempt to persuade the bandits to leave by either lying or in another way take use of the situation.
