Sporadic 2844 Share Posted March 6, 2012 Attached to this letter are drawings of Haelun'ors recently completed Mage Tower. As you look upon this, know that it was solely on the request of Malinor, in particular by Prince Lafthi, that we would create the Mage Tower of the Elves and lend it to the guild. We, though filled our schedules are, obliged, hoping the gesture would serve as a strengthening of bonds between two Elven factions. We desired to show our goodwill and, even though our views lead us on different trails, see ourselves unite in a mutual desire for wisdom and study. I led a team of High Elves for many days, collecting materials and perfecting the design. It's beauty and grandeur had to show the faith we had in our bond, our gesture. The overall result, to me, was quite pleasing, and showing it to the arch-mage, I felt he could agree. Why is it, then, that Lafthi now advocates the creation of a Normandor mage tower, not even a fortday after our own is complete. Enlighten me why he did request, personally, that we strain ourselves, put in a tremendous effort to gain Malinor's continued favor, only for him to reject us afterward and create his own? I feel hurt that you would deny what is essentially my gift to you, and equal is the hinder I feel that you would reject our two cities the opportunity to interact more in a setting we could come to terms with. The only reason I can see for this is that the population of Normandor is of sufficient size to warrant its own tower. Though admittedly I was not aware of a mage tower being under consideration as it hasn't come up in our own council meetings. It might merely be a consideration of the Mage's Guild high council. Unfortunately my rank within the Mage's Guild is not sufficient to be on that council so I cannot comment on that. I'll speak to Lafthi next time I see him about this ordeal and one of us will provide you with more information. I do know that I was assigned to Haelun'or by the Arch Mage Ambros, but this was some years ago. I haven't heard word personally from the guild since that time. Lafthi Sylvari 12 Share Posted March 8, 2012 *Attaches a letter next to Ellir's already hanging one.* To all of those concerned, Ellir and I met and I am glad to say that we were able to talk about it and learned that some facts has been misconstrued as they made their way from ear to ear. We no longer have a quarrel, as one did not really exist in the first place.
