Why is your character starting this village/settlement? What is its purpose?

Hysagi is starting this town to make a dream of him come true, he always dreamt of leading a small trading town that lived from everything they harvested. It is not going to expand to a city for a long time and might only expand to the size of a town. He hopes that with this town he can help people getting started who are new to the lands of Asulon. He makes sure there are always jobs available that people can do, he will pay them good for their services and makes sure they even get a place to stay for the night if they want to.

The town will also support as a “hiding” or retreat for people who like to stay in the shadows for a while. In Maple Port people aren’t judged for the crimes they did in other nations or towns but they are judged for crimes done in Maple Port. Only people wanted in cities or nations that have a very good relationship will also be arrested in Maple Port.

The town will have one big inn, some houses, guard barracks, storage, town center and a town hall. The price for a house is quite cheap as the houses are also quite small, everybody can purchase a house and there will be a monthly [iRL] control to see if the houses are still inhabited.

What type of political system or leadership is within the village?

The village will be led by a group of leaders. There will be the main leader, a steward and the head of the guards. They will take decisions on what will happen in the city together and will discuss it thoroughly before taking actions. If one of the leaders dies is killed or suddenly leaves there will be an election by the other two leaders of who should be the new third leader. Anyone can be nominated and people are chosen based on their skilled. Once a month there will be a town meeting in the town hall and anybody can attend and throw in their ideas. The leaders will discuss them and reply to all of them, good ideas are rewarded with money, goods or a house. In very few situations people can attend special titles/ranks that will be made at that specific time matching the situation.

What sort of behavior will residents exhibit? (Race relations, nation relations, etc.)

Everyone who lives in the village will notice that the town won’t have a military and only a few town guards as it’s a trading town with no needs of any wars and will remain peaceful at any time and will not even fight back when the town is under an attack. The village is open to any race and hopefully will not have any problems with any nations and will hopefully trade with them.
