Why is your character starting this village/settlement? What is its purpose?

The current state of Asulon is displeasing to Goliath. Journeys must be made in order to obtain substances which he needs now, and living in Ascella full time does not supply him with these very needs. Upon a trek far away, where the grass holds a golden haze and the air is as fresh as Aegis' early days, he set up a village. Weeks after weeks of building a new village, a homely village, something where Goliath is at ease and can take on leadership roles for the good of him. Some may have never thought this could be possible, but as the village took shape, and Goliaths attitude out in the Wilds turned bright, things looked good.

Goldenfields is a small trading village, it holds various trading stools within, as well as two large houses to shelter those who wish to buy. Each morn, the tradesmen would venture upon their horses and set up beside their stool for the day ahead. We hope for visitors to come by, to fill up on their usual stock, and possibly even start a stool themselves. The town is chilled, far out by a flowing river, somewhere where the horses could wait and feed.

What type of political system or leadership is within the village?

Goliath oversees the goings on in the village. His ruthless attitude could return if those wish to destroy the beauty of the village. If higher help is needed, a close group of individuals, the Wolf Pack will be a quick bird away and will be willing to set order and to cease any fighting or muggings. Those who own trading stools are liable to them, they are the leaders of their stools, and if any trouble comes their way, they will need to sort it themselves; If they are unable to, of course a higher rank shall step in.

Laws:

-One may not kill within the walls of Goldenfields trading, any current disputes MUST be ignored to avoid being removed. Anyone who does not abide by this rule shall be placed in the hands of the wolf pack, where their fate shall be decided elsewhere to prevent further damage.

-One may not steal from stalls, if you shall, prepare a hefty fine, and/or imprisonment. Those who steal will not be permitted to return.

-One shall not smuggle goods which may cause harm to others, although smiled upon by Goliath outside of these walls, citizens shall not have a threat of harming themselves within Goldenfields.

-No loitering. If you wish to trade, you shall do so, if you are waiting for a friend, we advise you to wait beside the river instead. Those who wish to discuss purchasing housing, stalls or an upstairs inn, speak to Goliath when he is inside the town.

Those who do not abide by these laws, and are seen doing so by the higher lords and ladies, shall be asked to leave. If the indecent is severe, the pack shall be involved. (The pack will not be referred to by 'The Pack' as an identity savior. They shall be seen as guards and nothing else.)

The roles of the village:

Tradesman - Runs a stool, buying and selling belongings to keep themselves working and earning a steady flow of minas.

Homeowner - Residents of Goldenfields will be protected at all times, living a humble life beside the river. Morning walks are advise, collecting wood from nearby trees and rushing back before night falls.

Inn Owner - Two of these shall work at their inns which rest upon the homes, selling ale and bread at most times, and often simply spending their times talking with tradesmen and greeting newcomers.

Lord of the village - Shall oversee the goings on, sorting financial difficulties and enforcing the law of no mugging, killings etc.

The guards - The guards shall be 'The Wolf Pack', the sacred name shall not be spoken of, noone shall know them by any other than the guards of Goldenfields. They shall enforce order when needed.

What sort of behavior will residents exhibit? (Race relations, nation relations, etc.)

All races are allowed in the village, although any rivalry will not be accepted. The villages purpose is to sell and to prosper, as long as the residents live a peaceful life, earning minas and paying their rent, life should be easy. The town looks for no black market haggling, only those willing to make an income and look to make friends within our village. One day visitors are welcomed and will be treated like residents here.

Any other details (architecture, races, culture, etc):

We have a wooden houses, a pristine finish with wool and glowstone to add a cosy effect. The stalls are rather large, the four of them are held by stilts, a soft textured cotton to protect them from the elements, a perfect trading area. The village may be small, but we are hoping that after the journey upon horses, our guests feel at home and feel safe within the stone brick walls. All races are welcomed with open arms, along with all cultures. They shall be respected, as far as respect goes with Goliath.

Mostly to escape the neverending stress of governing Ascella.
