Dearest friends, brothers, and sisters,

After three decades of honorable service our beloved High Prince Haelphon Addechio has determined that it is time to step down and retire from his sacred seat upon the High Council. He has served selflessly as a true child of Malin and delivered us through many trying times. Though his age wears upon his physical body, his service to the Holy Princedom shall never be forgotten and will always be celebrated until the end of time. I am proud to call Haelphon brother and friend. I am fortunate to have him to consider as family.

We must not mourn however in his absence. We owe it to him as well as all in the past who have served the Holy Princedom within the high seat. We must prosper in the name of the memories of those who have come and past, and for those yet to come.

The vacancy of the High Seat has been addressed by an election within our Sacred Council. My brother princes have cast their wisdom, experience, and insight into their decisions. It has been decided by the High Council that I, Sythra Duskwind will serve the Holy Princedom of Malinor as High Princess.

I accept the position and all the duties that go along with the position. Like my predecessors I wish to make clear that this is not a position of power, but a duty and a responsibility. I only hope that I can live up to the efforts of my predecessors. My goal as High Princess is to ensure the safety and prosperity of all that call Malinor their home.

My brothers and sisters, we have seen trying times during our time in Asulon. All of us have shed blood and tears to survive in this land, I have shared this struggle both personally and intimately even as a Princess. I imagine that I will need to do so yet again as High Princess and I am prepared to do so not only for my brothers and sisters in Malinor, but our children to come in the future.

The world of Asulon does not see Malinor as much of anything currently. That is because elves are cautious, prepared, and reserved. Their opinions will change in the near future when they see our growth and prosperity to come. This may lead to their attention upon us as well. We will be ready to meet them with peace and trade if their intentions are pure. If their intentions are not, and run foul instead, they will see the wrath of Malin's children just as they did in Aegis. This is always how the Princedom has been, and it will continue to be so.

Again let us not mourn in High Prince Haelphon's absence, but instead celebrate his illustrious service to the Holy Princedom. He has earned it as such. Everyone that sees him should offer a toast and honor for his friendship and love to Malinor.

Sincerely,

High Princess Sythra Duskwind

*See's the letter before leaving for the boat to leave Normandor*

*lays in a cot on the boat looking up at the hull ceiling* "Well... That was the first dark elf I did forgive" *rolling his eyes* "1 million more to go and forgive." *chuckle at bit softly folding hands on his chest resting easily as the boat heads back to the mainlands near the cloud temple.* "May peace come back to Malinor so I may finally return without being chased by mori."

Aislin skims through the letter quickly, having many more to read.

Haelphon was good, but I've heard even better things about this princess. We'll see how it turns out.

Guest

Kerhal drums his fingers against the wall, his armor already weighing him down, along with his injuries of the past 10 years of pain and harm. He walks out of his room after talking with Damon, and receives a message from an accomplice bearing this note.

Kerhal sighs, and begins murmuring under his breath, "A Mali'Ker, leading the Mali'Am- I mean Mali'Valah... Human elves... Sythra, Sythra... Hopefully you can redeem the race that follows your orders name, I need Linath to calm down for once." Kerhal writes that down to himself, for no specific reason, then goes back to talking with Damon, sharing several joking Insults before stumbling down the caverns for a drink.

Ah, Sythra, I remember decades ago, celebrating the day you were promoted from High Magistrix to Princess. I have the fullest of faith that you will serve well and strong as the High Princess. Best of luck to you, and elvenkind.
