Death Upon The Shore

The fresh stench of death draws you towards the shore where Miian went missing. Much time has passed since your encounter with the orcs and there has been no word of her return, nor of any successful negotiations, only a rumor that she might be returned. Now, with the sun rising at the dawn of a new day, the bloody corpse of some beast lies at the shore's edge, skinned completely. It's exposed flesh is crawling with flies. Your heart sinks for a moment, assuming the worst, but upon further inspection, you find that it is the body of an adult ocelot, hunted from your lands. The hide has been removed as well as it's claws and it's face is twisted and frozen into a hideous snarl. Stabbed into it's torso with a broken arrow is a crudely scrawled note, which, despite the stink of piss and gore, is surprisingly legible.

The messenger is long gone. You noticed two sets of large footprints leading towards the water.

The great yet lean Tigrasi stares into the paper, he frowns at the characters as he slowly but surely finishes the notes... As he reads aloud to himself, the leather grips of his bow squeaks from the iron hold of his paw. With his bow hand he pounds at the note, leaving it slightly crumpled. He snarls and with a low growl he bellows to the direction of the footprints.

So'Bukaknog willa hunt the Uruks if theya hurt the little Kha! So'Bukaknog haves no trouble seeing the unholy green in sands of the greata desert! Yua return little stub tailed Kha now! No meats no shinies, now!

Bukaknog roars with a renewed send of vigor. He sets off toward his den in an aggressive pace, plucking at his bowstring as he recollects the dunes of the deserts.

[[Well it's more like they're possessive of their own kind, they're royally pissed that one of their young has been taken, and that's really it ]]

((Thank you for clearing that up. As a HE I can understand the PO-edness that comes from your kind being disrespected.))

((If you read my character's bio, the runt of his litter succumbed to the jaws of a monster during a hunt. He has felt guilty ever since and thus is quite protective of the smaller Kha. The fact that a non-Kha with the body features so unlike the 'holy form' of the Kharajyr, the Orcs seem alien and in fact monstrous to him. He feels a sense of somewhat déjà vu when his sister was slain. Thus the reaction now. My character is quite peaceful actually and does not typically enjoy bloodshed. Merely harmless sparring and hunts.))

Ned Lud'Gorkil returns from his scouting mission, soaking wet. He lumbers down into his discrete, holding facility, removing his leathers and dumping the water from his boots. As he turns with a derisive sneer to grunt something to his strange, furry captive, he notices that the hatch is now wide open and the cage is empty. His mangled jaw twists into a grimace of furious wonder as he snorts a single word.

"Skah..."

[[Yeah, every time I log in there's been some drastic change that I've missed out on in-game. I would beat Vuugush's ass and probably heavily demote him if I found out, depending on the circumstances. Just trying to "solidify" the nature of our relations, as I'm sick of seeing our territorial and tribal-based cultures befriending strangers so easily. Just assume that this threat was made while you were still in captivity, just prior to my subordinate stomping through my personal space and releasing a piece of military property that will likely determine the fate of our public relations for years to come. :P]]

((pretty sure we are feeling the same way, Ned. Too many of our people, instead of following our lore, are trying to be all buddy buddy with everyone, including the Orcs.))

Tiazar roars in anger and frustration at the note before stomping off to finish preparations to get back his Miian.
