Hanseti Closes Its Borders

[Mirtok 2853]

*Mirtok stands high above the ground atop a construction site. He is studying the landscape deciding his next course of action in regards the to the project. He hears the crunching of snow and heavy breathing coming from the base of his walls, followed by the one by one thump of someone climbing a ladder.

As Maur appears over the edge and then onto the site alongside Mirtok, he is greeted with a friendly hello. However, Maur does not return the human reply and simply stats "I have some news" in his Orcish tongue. Sensing the odd tone to his soldiers voice, the Hochmeister nods respectfully and allows Maur to continue. Reports of ailed men and women in the neighboring kingdom ring in Mirtok's ears, people stricken with green sores and internal rage.

Remembering back to a time long ago, a time with similar happenings, Mirtok gives the order to Maur.

*Mirtok then returns to his keep, and sits upon his throne. He speaks to himself while holding a black book with golden borders and a Teutonic cross engraved onto the front, "Phase Two" and scribbles several lines into the book before closing it. He then walks over to his bookshelf and slides the book labeled "Operation Black Curtain" into its respected spot.

Brittlerock mutters to himself "This needed te be done. If only it was workin." He sighs "There was nothin else te be done. We couldn't let em inte the city." He turns and sets off for Argos and the pile of infected bodies outside her gates.

Aetherian watches as the gates tumble down into their locks and briskly walks back to his home, brushing some snow of his steps with his feet as he fumbles with the keys."Quarantine" he thought, the word not escaping his mind. As he steps over the threshold of his house he grabs a few rolls of neatly stacked parchment and heads up stairs, reviewing business documents as he plans for the lockdown.
