Neutonic 17 Share Posted May 10, 2012 Why would you need to pay a transaction fee to store minas in your own physical chest in your house? It makes no sense. And I am talking about RPly actually putting the minas in the chest, not magically sending them. Ah well I was more thinking of a racial bank were they store it for you, hence the fee. I didn't think about storing them in your home.

They'd put it in a bank, which would impose a fee on deposits. Most banks don't charge for withdraws.

And after the age of modern banking when the banks fell for the great depression, again people stow'd away there hard earned money in box's, walls, false floors, or whatever they could find that felt "safe". Not saying I disagree with your motive though, I am 100% against a transaction fee. A 10% fee would be no different than the mina death penalty. Yeah, I think someone would be an idiot to put their life savings into a bank. I personally keep mine in my mattres, that way if the economy dies and banks fail, I still get my money yo. Tough a 10% penalty is lower than the current 15 or 20% =/
Aren Whitestorm 65 Share Posted May 10, 2012 When is it going to be implemented? It's delayed, and hopefully it won't end up like magic plugin...

Destroyer_Bravo 1054 Share Posted May 10, 2012 Actually, people in the Middle Ages thought banks were "sinful" or something...
domainoft 191 Share Posted May 11, 2012 Tough a 10% penalty is lower than the current 15 or 20% =/ It might be better in some cases, but for those of us that are careful it is far from better, in fact it is quite worse. Which would you rather have, -10% on everything you save or 15/20% of what your carrying when you die. its a matter of how many minas you have and what you do with them. If you like to save them, protect them you are losing 10% of everything you make, If you are more of a merchant type and would never store manys you risk losing 15/20% when you die. The purpose of the bank or storage is to protect your minas not spend a lesser amount. People would still use ult banking character and it would solve nothing. Maybe a withdraw fee rather than a deposit fee?
domainoft 191 Share Posted May 11, 2012 That would cost the same, and amount to the same problem. :(

So you can deposit any amount you want, and the 10% only applies when you attempt to withdraw.

domainoft 191 Share Posted May 11, 2012 No, you don't have a fee for deposit. So you can deposit any amount you want, and the 10% only applies when you attempt to withdraw. It still ends the same, If you deposit 100 minas and they take 10%, you are left with 90 when you need it. If you deposit 100 minas and they take 10% when you withdraw you are still left with 90 minas. I fail to see how this is any different? Its the equivalent of saying, We aren't going to take 15% of your minas when you die, but we are going to start taking 15% when you are "resurrected" in cloud temple.
