Out-Of-Character

Minecraft Account Name: MrFenno

How old are you?: 18

Time-Zone/Country of Residence: Australia, Eastern Standard Time

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Absolutely

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I'm currently undergoing the Higher School Certificate; huzzah for stress! I'm pretty easy going and non-confrontational - but that doesn't mean I'm introverted by any regards :)

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I could probably offer about 3-5 hours Monday-Thusday and up to 8 hours Friday; weekends, I'd be on for most of the day/evening, so about 30+ hours, give or take.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: I've done a fair bit of Pathfinder and DnD, so remaining IC is important to me; Roleplaying, for me, is stepping into the shoes of someone entirely different. With those shoes, you can ignore your morale code, or uphold it, and do whatever you please; to the extent of the laws of the Nations and World. However, for all intents and purposes of this character, an eventual slip in the moral balance may see him striking out against any non-human race.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: As I've mentioned above, a little experience with paper and pen RPG's; I know the necessity of IC maintenance and can create any manner of character.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Metagaming is, in the words of Leonardo Decaprio from Inception, "a game inside a game"; but that first game transcends any normal rules binding that server; usually in order to disadvantage other players, or unfairly promote the meta-gamer.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: A single minded playing of a game, where all other assets such as narrative or immersion are cast aside in the name of stat boosting.

What do you expect this server will be like?: Judging from the forums here and the topic in the Minecraft Forums, I imagine it will be a rather sophisticated server.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I've had a few servers here and there; either I've slowly lost interest in them, or I didn't fulfill criteria to gain entrance (Voxel Box being an example of the latter)

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Absolutely!

Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: I promise to abide by all laws, rules and regulations.

How did you hear about us? Did someone refer you?: Scouting for a server on the Minecraft Forums.

Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?: Nope.

Have you posted this application on our minecraft forum thread yet? If not, just finish it up on here and then copy + paste is over there. In-Character:

Character Name: Calandus Aureston

What Race are you?: Human

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race:(

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.:

Calandus was born into a judicial family; they held honour and justice above all else, even at the expense of morality. Such was the downfall of Calandus when he had just turned 9, for he saw a folly in the tactics of the Court and thus saw it's ultimate corruption. His family, shamed by their kin's decision to remove himself from their affairs, saw it necessary to exterminate him by any means necessary. Fleeing from mercenaries for several days, Calandus collapsed inside the shelter of a cave.

Upon the dawn of a new year, 18 years later, Calandus emerged; he had ventured deep into the bowels of the earth and he had found a chamber made of luminescent stone. Here, time held no meaning and tranquillity was achievable; however, this was not to be. Remnants of Iblees, the dark and terrible being that cursed the Descendants, felt Calandus's presence. The first of the beasts that assailed him was a rotten swordsman, wielding a sword that was in relatively fine condition. With movements more out of adrenal fear than deft precision, Calandus disarmed the shambling warrior and cut him down with his own blade. The second horror that came before him was a macabre fusion; a giant spider with a lightly armoured, skeletal torso protruding from it's thorax. As the arachnid closed in on Calandus with agile, erratic movements, the skeleton fired off several shots from an old, wretched bow. Calandus felt the barbed tip of an arrow skim past his ear and, still shuddering from his past kill, moved quickly to meet his foe. With a clumsy yet true strike, he managed to cleave the skeleton from shoulder to hip, rending it asunder. He then managed to clamber onto the back of the enormous spider and plunged his blade through it's head, sending a beady eyeball skittering across the glowing floor. The third and final denizen of the dark was unlike any natural creature he had ever seen - it stood at his height, but said not a word from its jagged mouth. Its eyes, tiny pinpricks of light, suddenly flashed a brilliant red, and it started hissing and jerking violently. All of a sudden, Calandus was thrown back by a mighty explosion that collapsed upon the chambers entrance, sealing him in. And so, condemned to meditate upon the horrors and the beauties that he had seen in solace, he waited out his time until he was discovered by a mining expedition that stumbled upon him within the cave. Bringing him to a small village, he was questioned by the local deputy upon his discoveries; he told them what he had seen, to much disdain and many sarcastic remarks. With the interrogation finished, he was offered a place to stay in a small room inside one of the villagers cottages.

What is your Character's ambitions?: Calandus wishes for mankind to live in peace; through his sword, and the eradication of xenos, he hopes that this peace can be achieved.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc: Calandus wields the sword that he took from the shambling dead when he was sealed in the cavern with a brutal efficiency. During his stay in the village, he contributed to it's expansion through his new-found appreciation for logging and carpentry.(

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Between his disciplined attunement to his sword and it's maintenance and his taste for carpentry, it is a fine line of love.

A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format:post-42929-0-42041700-1336644485_thumb.p(

Other Information about your Character:

-Xenophobic; whilst he is patient of other humanoid races, he knows that there is a key difference between him and them.

-Racist; Due to his unflattering encounter with the forces of Iblees, as well as the mercenaries that hunted him down being orcs, he feels that humanity is the only righteous race in the world.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?Depending on the race of the two guards, I would either spare their lives or cut them asunder. However, the halfling would come with me in repayment for his rescue and work as my servant: whether he wanted to or not is irrelevant.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Well, I'm not too sure what he'd have to sell; most of it'd probably be dwarven or elven-made, so it'd be quite inferior to any man-made product.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? I would camp with them for the night, revel in their company and eat what food is shared; by morning, I shall have left with food in my stomach, coins in my hand and a couple less swindlers roaming the woods.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: In my interests to ascend mankind into the greatness it deserves, those that stand before me, regardless of race, must be swept aside for the greater benefit of man.

Denied.

Powergaming and Metagaming are incorrect.

ORQs are too short and one is missing.
