I Miss The Undead.

It seems like forever ago when the undead roamed Aegis seeking to destroy all civilization. Although it was hard, the battles were great memories and great fun. Does anyone else wish the undead had continued?

We dont really need the udnead. I see constant fighting with other people/factions now almost daily. And if an evil does return why not have Several evils and let one grow until its a major threats to others besides just a thread the people who live there. And once that New Threat is put down its not gone just weaker. (like how Wow did Undead/Demons in their Expansions once the major threat was gone they were still a minor threat)

Of course we don't need the Undead, that's not the point of this thread.

I for one had the opportunity to experience it all from start to finish, and it was fun all along the way. Yes, I do want to come back, to provide and experience that fun again.

I miss the Undead because they pretty much forced the people to unify. I don't really like this "tension between nations" idea. Though, it has produced some pretty amazing rp.

It doesn't seem to really be providing much RP. Most people still don't have much of an allegiance to their nation, and on the citizen level, the only thing they experience is war. From the greater picture, it's interesting, but in terms of "logging on and talking to real people," I don't see that it's doing much.

In the case of the undead, people actually talked about them. Entire characters were swayed by their impact. It was much more fun for the average player.

There are no more universal evils. The last major evil guild was the Dark Brotherhood, and they still weren't a very common name. While I understand that the goal was to bring more internal strife, there has actually been a severe decrease in the level of fear.

The departure of the undead is one of the many reasons why the quality and quantity of RP has decrease in Asulon.

Though I never faced or saw an Undead, because when I first joined I was inactive for like month, I think it would be seriously awesome to bring them back.

What's to stop the players from creating an iblee's cult and becoming the new evil?

Maintaining AND providing is hard work, however we do have a dragon roaming the realm and an entire faction ready to play the role of antagonist as soon as the lore-masters are finished

I would definitely have to agree with you here. The Undead really did strike fear into you. I remember my first encounter with them. On a frozen lake, at night, during a thunderstorm. The atmosphere was perfect.

The reason people feared the Undead, was because they literally had the power to decimate 50+ people with only 3-7 of them. Of course, we could get a group who goes round and raids in the name of Iblees. But, come now. The only thing that can create fear, is 20 people in diamond armor, but even then, its not that hard to fight them. Pretty much, you would need something to fear, but you also need a reason to fear them. The bloodmages...I have not actually seen them do anything. The Undead...Attacks every week. Why? Because there were players, not 4 GM's and 2 players.

I actually want the Undead to come back. Perhaps have a few nations fall under their corruption, so we maintain the Nation Wars?

Don't get me wrong, there is a completely valid RP for them returning and I participated in many of the events - but they could absolutely not operate like they did prior

If I may ask; What sort of behavior would you appreciate of them -if- they returned?

I'd like for them to be chosen by the GM team and would act as an "event race". Many of the "events" wouldn't be scheduled for all to see but shown to GM's so we may ensure that these players are doing not only what they're characters would do but what is best for RP.

I dealt with thousands of complaints from players during the entirety of the undead's campaign so I will be sure to make sure anyone involved would not be interested in "winning"
