Oupavoq Polemistis

In order for Oupavoq to stand it needs a powerful and disciplined military.

This military is called the Polemistis

The duty of the Polemistis is to:

Protect the people of Oupavoq

Defend the men and women of Levanthus

Take swift action when threatened

Take the orders of those you are lead by and complete them whole-heartedly

Fight with full force and show no mercy to Oupavoq's enemies

The Polemistis consists of four separate ranks; Stratiotis, Thalassio, Anthropos and Spartiatis, each rank above the next, respectively.

Stratiotis: These men are the newest members of the Polemistis, they are yet to be trained in any way, shape or form. In order to proceed to the next rank, Stratiotis must receive basic training and prove their worth.

Thalassio: These men have become acquainted with their fellow Polemistis members and have gone through basic training. They are trained enough to hold their own in combat. In order to proceed to the next rank, Thalassio must receive more combat training along with being educated in war and combat tactics.

Anthropos: These men have been trained to extent that allow them to be successful in most battles. They are respected by all members of the Polemistis and have shown true courage in battle. In order to proceed to the next rank, Anthropos must leave to a training camp outside of the city walls where they were be trained further in war and combat tactics along with extreme physical condition near the point of death. What must also occur is that the warrior must be selected and recognized to move to the next rank.

Spartiatis: These men are the pinnacle of strong and well trained warriors. Through many years they have become conditioned well enough to destroy must if not all of their opposition.

Syssitia- A group of seven polemisti, lead by the strongest of these seven men, usually a Spartiatis. The leader of the Syssitia is to be addressed as the Igetis or by their rank.
