Any chance we could have the stick and plank level requirement removed? Frankly it is more of an annoyance then RP tool. I also think we need to accommodate the new players a bit better. If I was them I would be pretty intimidated if when I first joined I could make nothing. I suggest giving them 100 skill credits so that they could be good at at least one profession.

Actually, thats incorrect. Japanese armor mostly consisted of wood, rather then metal. Katana's can't do anything at all to metallic armor.

You'd be better off using a shovel against armor then a katana. At least the shovel can be used like a makeshift mace. All a katana can do is look cool then break if you hit your opponents armor too hard.

Nonetheless. What about a greatsword? That has to be RPed, like s tabar axe would have to be RPed. That is impossible in MC. That axe is just a axe. That sword is just a sword. We can't do anything about it.

Please, please do your research before spouting nonsense. Katanas are much, much more power than a longsword, meaning it can cut into metal armor even more . Katana break if it hits armor too hard? You don't know anything about Katanas.

Well I'll be damned. The research I did was on the heavier plate. What I read was that the katanas of the time they were most heavily in use were designed to cut through wooden armor and flesh, but didn't do as well as heavier weapons when it came to full plate. I just assumed it was similar for all metallic armor. My mistake.

Depends on the heavier weapon you speak of. A lance on a galloping horse would penetrate any size plate armor.

Used some sort of gel thing to represent flesh under the armor. The armor had a massive dent in by the end, and the gel...well...no one was getting up after the state it was in.

True enough. I just did a bit of a comparison between the two...And then went through about 3 years of forum roleplay where everyone and their mother (who, no matter the setting, somehow had a Japanese name) was using a katana to slice through full platemail like butter.

So I might have been slightly antagonistic towards that weapon. I'm glad to know theres at least a basis for their use other then "OMG I'm a ninja guys!"

(Most of the people using katanas called themselves ninjas. It only added to the hate.)

Vaq could you possibly try adding in more things for Farming?. I just want something more for my buck as I have 100 farming and I don't get anything out of it, And the seeds are now dropped to 1 seed for 4 wheat harvested so I can't keep my farm up even at level 100
