Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: My grammar and spelling are generally very good, but I occasionally make mistakes.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a middle school student who likes science and math. I enjoy playing Minecraft and many other games like Portal 2 and Maplestory. I like developing video games and Minecraft mods.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: It can vary, but usually about 5 hours. I am more available during the summer.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying is acting like a specific character. This can include talking, behavior, and skills.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I have tried to play several pen and paper RPGs, but never with much success.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta-gaming is acting as if your character knows information that you learned out-of-character. If you know who a person is, it doesn’t mean that your character does. If I know how to get somewhere, my character still can’t go there unless he’s has learned the way while in character.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Power-gaming is attempting to perform actions without following the role-play rules of the game. This generally includes doing things that are unrealistic, illogical, or over powered. Often this means instantly doing things without giving the other person time to react. For example, instead of “I attack him with my sword,” a power-gamer might say “I cut his head off, killing him.”

What do you expect this server will be like?: I imagine it is very unique and has many interesting people and features. There are many places to go and things to do. There are interesting interactions between players.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I tried out various survival servers, several prison servers, and a few town building servers. They all seemed very chaotic and disorganized. I tend to prefer creative and role-playing servers. I currently play on the CreativeKing and VoxelBox servers often.

Character Name: Enuir Windshadow

What Race are you?: Elf

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Dark Elf

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Enuir was born to a fairly wealthy family of architects from Laurelin. He was an only child and his parents were nice to him. During his childhood he was shy and had few friends. He has dark grey skin, purple eyes, and dark blue hair typical for a dark elf. He received a good education and always dreamed of exploring the world. He is clever and agile. He is a good builder and fighter. He began training with swords when he was 20 years old.

Enuir lived a nice life as a builder in Aegis until the undead invaded. He helped fight the undead horde until he was trapped at Laurelin. He fled to the Verge with many others. He worked with them to build boats to reach Asulon. He missed his home, but he knew that they couldn’t go back.

Enuir is now 128. Since the fall of Aegis, he has been very quiet and kind of paranoid. He is now a bartender, but in his free time he reads tales of the great heroes of the past. He is friendly, but cautious around strangers. He is occasionally rebellious and aggressive, but normally calm and happy. He can be jumpy and fidgety especially at night or in unfamiliar areas. He is fairly content with his job, but wishes he could be an adventurer.

What are your Character's ambitions?: He seeks fame, fortune, and adventure. He lives for the thrill of exploration and battle.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): He prefers swords because they are the weapons of heroes in his eyes. He has trained with them for many years.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? He is quite clever and tricky. He had a good education and is skilled at building.

Other Information about your Character: He is clumsy and forgetful compared to other elves, and is not as good with a bow and arrow.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

I try to attract their attention by yelling. I hope it is a misunderstanding, but they attack. I run away and lead them to a forest. I duck into the shadows, leaving them lost. They make a wrong turn, and I run back on a different path. I see that the halfling has already fled, so I leave the area in case the warriors come back.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

“Hello. I am new to this area, and I am looking to buy some armor. Do you know where I can get some?”

“I only sell food here at this stall, but there is a shop over there that might have some.”

“Thank you.”

I walk away, but I have a weird feeling. I turn around, but there is no one there. I run to the store, extremely on edge. I turn around and see a suspicious person hiding around the corner. I lash out with my sword, and the mysterious figure runs away into the shadows.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Keeping an eye out for danger, I take a most of the iron from the chest. I leave quickly in case the owner returns. After I run a while, I see another elf walk up to the hut. He seems very upset, but I can’t undo what I’ve done. I throw one of the bars back towards the house and run off.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

“Greetings! I come in peace. I am a lost and hungry traveler. Could you perhaps spare me some food?”

They lead me to one of their buildings where I eat some food. I rest and locate the trading post on my map. They seem to be quite nice people, and I promise to visit them if I ever pass through this area again. I thank them for the food and set out in the direction of the nearest town.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

I grab my sword and armor and immediately head out to join the group. I wouldn’t want to miss a chance to fight off bandits. All the volunteers assemble under the leadership of the guard. We exit town and sneak up on the bandits’ camp on the road. We charge at them, but they are well armed. We fight for quite a while. Though they have strong weapons, we defeat them. I claim my reward and return to town.
