The Blackwood Legionairs

Goals:

The goals of the Blackwood legionairs are clear and simple:

-Protect the citizens of western Dydimo

-Protect the city of western Dydimo

-Make sure that the law is followed by everyone

-serve as army during times of war

Their rights:

-Free food and armor

-A free place to stay in the barracks

-Discount of fifty percent on normal housing

-citizenship of western dydimo

-payment depending on the amount of work they have done

-...

The Ranks:

The Pontifex:

The Pontifex is not only the leader of the military he is also the great leader of the Blackwood province itself, At the moment of writing this is Geoffrey Blackwood, He is in charge of the army during war times, However in times of peace he lets his centurii (generals) do the work to test them and keep them sharp,

The Centurii:

The centurii are the generals of the Blackwood legion, they serve as the right hands of the pontifex and lead the army during peace time and serve as generals during war time, They make sure that everyone is well equipped as well that all are given shelter and food, They are held responsible for the safety of the people of the Blackwood Province, They are looked upon with equal respect as the senators and are also given a noble home,

The Legionairs:

The Legionairs are the main part of the army, This is the beginning rank of all soldiers yet there is no shame in being a Legionair, They are who keep the province safe and they are the ones that give there lifes for our wifes and children, They are all given equipment and food, they also recieve shelter in the barracks but if they wish to the can cheaply buy a normal home, Each legionair fights in a cohort of ten men, He sleeps, eats and lives with them, this is to ensure that they would go trough hell for eachother, During peace time they patrol the city, man the wall or prefor scouting missions,

The Cohorts:

The Cohorts are the packs of legionars, Each cohort consist of ten legionairs and is lead by a centurion, In total there are, at the moment of writing, two cohorts, There will be more as soon as the military is enlarged, Legionairs from the same cohort are brothers, they are a family and they treat eachother like family, Any fighting within the ranks will be severely punished by the Centurion for during times of war we need to be able to function as one machine,

The two Cohorts:

-The Taurus Cohort:

The Taurus Cohort is the main vanguard of their army, on their shields is painted a bull to represent their strength,

-The assipiter Cohort:

The Assipiters are the scouts and spy's of the Legion, However they are also given basic military training so that they can help out the Taurus cohort in times of war on the battlefield, while the Taurus cohort fights with swords the Assipiters fight with bow and arrow to attack the enemy from afar,

The Praetorians:

This is a special cohort, these are the main guards of the King, they are the best of the best and are selected from the army. It also happens that a scout goes out to the different guilds and searches for someone that is worthy of becoming a Praetorian. This person than has to go trough several tests and eventually has to take the ancient vow and plead himself to the King,

Now, if any of you brave soldiers are interested in joining we are currently recruiting.

All that wish to join are to fill in a small piece of paper so that we know your name and skills.

Those notes can be found at the bottom of this document, just copy it on a seperate piece of paper and deliver it to one of my men at the cloud temple or at the subudai campement.

We are also currently looking for a good weaponsmith and we can provide him with the best metals to work with. He shall be given his own home and blacksmithing shop as well.
