Most likely your bio should not have any thing about being a mage unless you have already rped it other then that you are not powergaming. Although I would advice you to take mage out of your name. we have a rule much like that of the druids, those who have given them selves the title of mage will not be noticed by the rest of the mages for their knowledge of magic or wisdom.

((oh, so what about the guys running around with "Archmage" or I saw a guy with "Winddruid"? Are they actual memebers or do they have special permission?

Anyways, I've not actually payed much attention here once you guys closed applications. Are all mages supposed to be in hiding? Because I only called myself the Makeshift Mage to others becuase I didn't want people to know my real name. Are titles like that something that other mages give you? They see your style and make up a name in response to that? Then I probably messed up my character again... But all is not lost. Most of what my character is right now are simply plot devices to get him to learn other forms of magic. Once that happens he stops being the less than half dragon and... well, I hope that he could join the mage's guild... but thats probably goin to happen in Aegis 2.0 since your not taking applicants.

... I guess I can call myself, Cor as a cover name...

By the way the only reason I have any of that stuff in my bio is because I HAVE rp'd it. So no worries on that part.))

((If you read our wiki page and the druid wiki page you will find a rule that goes for both of our factions. "Those giving themselves the title of mage/druid will not be recognized by the public or the faction" So these people giving themselves this name are seen in the eyes of the mages and druids as FAKE. They will only be asked to change their title if we see that they are blacking the name of mages or druids and or not following the mage/druid code))

Just to let you know, there are already 4 people out there that call themselves the Battlemages of ___ (element). They may be offended that you are trying to steal their schtik.

((this is getting frustrating. I've looked at the guild wiki page, and it seems I've totally screwed the whole mage thing up. If I reroll, will the things that happened with my current character carry over? I do want to be accepted by the guild when it becomes public, and it seems my current character wouldn't make the cut.))

(( what ambros said is true, we are the first and are the original mages of aegis. Me and ambros are not the oldest existing mages guild members that are still active. Also ambros could you send my a message telling my which races have guild masters now? ))

[stalk] ((Sorry for posting in here, decided to make sure the "BattleMages" arent on a bad side haha. Anywho, We are broken up now for RP reasons, Flame going funky with who sides are on n such.. We understood that the Mages Guild was here first with Magic and that the BattleMages had the same name as a tier of the Mage Guild[well just recently haha] We used the name BattleMages because we saw that it would fit as for Battle Mages worked close combat and all.. Once we are in the new world we will have some hardcore lore and will be up and running again with the four elements but might not be Battlemages, we will try to find a better and different name for us when the time comes so we dont get thought of being you guys and vice versa. Sorry for any bad feelings when we were up and running, they weren't intentional, and actually when we created it we were unaware that the Mage Guild existed.))[/stalk]

I have total RP behind it. While casting a spell to duplicate himself it went horribly wrong and created an unstable copy. While in the process casting himself into the outskirts of aegis. He then today actually finally made his way back to kal'urguan where he was greeted with new and familiar faces and embraced back into the dwarven kingdom. So really the duplicate died because he was unstable not the actual Kilgrim
