[Story] A New World

((Note: This all happened a good 2 weeks ago, the fleet has yet to return. I am just lazy and finally wrote this. The reasoning for the name "New world" is simply because Farport is so far away from anything on the map. It's a legit place but it's on the very border of Asulon, any further and you reach the end of the map. No one in Holm has been to such a far away place = it's a new world for them))

A map lay strewn across the table in the officers deck. Admiral Shu Jing, Commodore Robert Howe, Captain Dash Rogers and Captain Maya Jing hover over the map.

Admiral Shu Jing traces his hand from Holm to Farport.

"We will be travelling here with our fleet, it is where myself and Maya were born and raised. A small fishing port. We will make Farport our home whilst we construct the new ship."

The group nods in agreement, Shu turns towards the window and dismisses them from the deck. Captain Rogers, Captain Jing and Commodore Howe make their way to their respective ships. The fleet shortly thereafter begins their long voyage. The people of Holm stood along the walls watching as the Royal Fleet began to dwindle into the horizon, until they were seen no more.

Many months were spent out in the open ocean, battling the ferocious waves of the sea, combating sickness that would be brought by stormy weathers. More than a dozen men lost their lives on the voyage. Soon there were reports of land on the horizon. As the Royal Fleet edged ever closer, the island of Farport was seen. The HMS Emperor King finally weighed anchor, sending an army of row-boats to the beach. As Shu Jing placed his foot onto dry land once more, he turned to his men, they raised the flag proclaiming Farport as theirs.

The peasantry of Farport were less than happy of their islands new owners, although they did not riot or rebel. All seemed fair in Farport. Shu Jing made Pasang Tashi's Manor his new home, whilst Pasang and his wife Olive were forced to take shelter in the towns tavern.

On a seemingly peaceful night, Shu Jing woke to the sound of screams, he walked to the window, opening the curtains to see Farport aflame. The peasantry began to rebel. Shu Jing quickly assembled his sailors, marching through town, slaughtering those who did not return to their homes peacefully.

Shu Jing finally came to the centre of the riots, finding Pasang Tashi standing there surrounded by his most loyal supporters. Pasang Tashi willingly called off the riots, not wanting to cause more bloodshed. Pasang lowered his head and was forcefully taken by the sailors, bound and chained, he was dragged to the centre of town.

The sun rose on the horizon, a new day began. Admiral Shu Jing stood atop the platform, the peasants stood around the platform, horrified at the sight before them. Shu began to speak over the crowd;

"For crimes against The Nation of Holm, for endangering the citizens of Holm and those of the Royal Navy, I, Admiral Shu Jing sentence Pasang Tashi to death!"

The execution was quick and precise. Pasang Tashi died in silence, his last words he had spoken were "Onto the Halls of Khali-Shi I must go".

The peasantry at Farport took no part in riots and rebellions afterwards, those that attempted to start ones were quickly silenced. The children that had once bullied Shu during his childhood, now feared him. The officers of the Royal Navy assembled outside of Farport for a grand painting to be done in their honour. They all stood and sat proud by the table and piano. Soon, when they returned, their fleet would be the most feared in all the seas... soon.

((My other character owned it = No need for warclaim since I would only be warclaiming myself.. I took this island when I moved my fleet to the island. Holm doesn't know I took the island yet.))

* Once the artist had finished the Grand Portrait of the Gentlemen Officers of the Holm Navy Commodore Howe call's over some of the servants to finish making the table so the officers may eat. When he see's the table is completely laid out he looks around to the other Officers and says

"We shall get our drinks first gentlemen I have a nice case Westfallian Red for all of us"

* Looks to Admiral Shu Jing

"Shall I have the servants open the bottle sir?"

*Shu Jing waves his hand almost dismissively, lost in thought. In his other hand he clutches a recently arrived letter by King Izier.*

"Yes, whatever you wish"

*Shu Jing looks up, glancing over the array of officers, his frown ever present, not even a hint of a smile on his lips*

* Nods to the servants as they open two bottles of Westfallian Red and two of the Servants go around the table pouring into the officers glasses by the right hand side. The officers all take their drinks and do with them at their own desecration. Robert then asks the servants.

"What shall we be eating on this fine afternoon? I have not eaten anything but preserved food and fruits for the past few months on the sea I wish for something nicer while I am on the land."

* The servant replies

"You shall be having Roast Beef sir. It is of the finest cuts this side of the world. You will be having roasted potato's as well as other vegetables sir. We are just about to serve up so please bare with us we wish to only please the most noble officers of the Holm Navy."

* Robert then replies

"Very good, carry on I don't want the chef to flog you for talking to me."

* The servants then walk around the room serving the officers their plates of roast beef

* Robert then begins to tuck into his fine meal and the other officers begin to do so at their own discretion

*Shu Jing clicks his fingers, once a servant had noticed, he points to his roast beef. The servant taking the hint, begins to cut the roast beef into quarters*

"Tell me, Robert, what do you think of Farport?"

*Shu noticing the servant has finished, quickly takes up cutlery and begins to dine on his meal, waiting upon Robert's reply*

* He finishes his mouthful of vegetables before replying to the admiral. Robert usually eats his potato's and vegetables before moving on to his meats in roast dinners.

"Its far off from the rest of the world sir. Reminds me much of the places I've been to when I was a privateer. Though the places I use to own and go to were taken or destroyed when Billow my former second in command upset the Gentlemen from the Teutonic Order. But yes Farport is a nice place. Quiet and above all now peaceful."

* Then continues to eat his lovely meal finishing the potato's now moving on to the last of the vegetables.

*Shu Jing listens intently to his Commodores response, as he finishes his mouthful he speaks once more*

"Mhmm, indeed. Some of those from the mainland have asked me the reason behind the name of Farport... Were they to know how far it is from the Mainland, they would realize how self-explanatory the name is and how idiotic their question was."

*Shu glances over towards Dash Roger's by the piano, he had fallen asleep during the paintings process*

"A shame he is not awake to share such a feast. Perhaps, Robert, you would like to comment on the way I work things here? Those of Holm would not be so happy to see me execute men so easily, but those who pose a threat to their friends, family and ofcourse, the Navy, are a threat to be eliminated."

*Shu speaks with a seemingly monotone voice, he begins to work away at his vegetables whilst he awaits the reply. The officers about them all partaking in their own small and private conversations*

* Robert finishes his vegetables then looks to Shu and gives his response.

"Sir I believe rebellion is like a weed. We in the navy are the most excellent Gardeners you can't just throw a rebel in a prison to give him a chance to escape that just inspires two more to crop up like a weed as I said. You must kill the weed at the source to make sure no more crop up. Executing that man inspired fear. Fear is how you control a violent population, then over time you can be more gentle with them but when they are in this mindset you have to show them the error of their ways by making an example of one of them"

* Then moves onto his beef the last thing on the plate, it is covered in gravy made from some of his Westfallian Red. He then finishes his plate of beef and starts to drink his wine while he converses with the Admiral.

"It is good we share the same views, Robert."

*Shu takes a glass of water, preferring water over wine, and holds it out for Robert to cheer with him*

"To a long lasting friendship and the quick demise of our noble enemies in the future to come."

* Holds his glass up with Shu in his toast

"Aye sir. Cheers"

* he finishes his wine seeing how some of the officers are now finished he calls for the tea and coffee and after lunch puddings.
