In-Character:

Character Name: Meta El Solaray

What Race are you?: Human

What Sub-Race are you?:

Biography ):

Meta El Solaray is a young warrior standing five feet and ten inches tall. His eyes are a soft blue, a nice complement to his blue colored hair. He was born the first and only child of Aurora and Trinity Solaray in the capital that had once been known as Solace. Meta's forefathers grew weary of Queen Dawn as her controversial actions begun to cause much talk around the town. Renouncing their ties to the land they were quick to flee away into the wilderness before the fall of the land, and begin a peaceful living deeper in the woods. It was around the beginning of the expansion of the human empire that Aurora departed from their lives, to destinations unknown. Stricken with the sudden reality of solitude and possible death of his forefather's art, the young Solaray was to be raised in the dying style of his own heritage.

The training was not pleasant for the young Meta, as he was constantly told to refine and refit his way of arm. His skill with the blade had to have no sign of an end, but instead be like the rays of light and lash out endlessly. Yet, for no matter the pain Trinity felt he brought upon the lad, Meta was always bright and outcolored for his personality. He would often times be caught studying the lore of his ancient land, which he once wanted to return to one day and see once more. Yet he was always told it would be another day, another time, with his family he would see the lands of their forefathers and truly appreciate what they had avoided.

That day was taken from him, from the very men who had taken them away in the first place. A human from another kingdom showed up at the door of his home, and questioned Trinity with dark acquisitions. The young Meta was told quickly to hide and make himself silent, as the voices became louder and much more fierce. The yelling increased, and soon weapons were drawn with shock from Meta's parents. The battle didn't even last beyond ten seconds as the figure seem to know each of Meta's father's motions, and countered them with a dreadful gashing wound. His father slumped to the floor and held at the blood as he was forever lost in a single heart-thrusted blow. With the father downed the figure walked his path towards the young warrior, barely over the age of ten as he finally stood in the light so Meta could see. It was in those eyes, did he see his own reflection, his own structure of his face.

"You are unspoiled by the taint of this world, soon you will be the vanguard of which to overthrow the humans who think themselves empowered." The voice, was a chill that would follow Meta to his core, and the silver of a blade touched his cheek, and cut into it leaving a black scar on his left cheek, which would be the reminder that would follow him forever. Humans...the definition of what he was, and the creature's that had forsaken his home twice over.

Wandering the woods endlessly for the young Solaray left him to travel to the world of humans, the Cloud Temple. But here he was met with what he assumed was uncomfortable with his presence. He made his time short there, procuring a few of the free supplies that were offered before departing from the land quickly. The day's had a toll on him during his travel, and Meta became a much more cold stricken personality. Very uncaring to those who made the decision to not stand for themselves. With only his bare essentials, and the memento's from his home he had more then the thoughts of a man imprinted into his dreams, but he had the belief in keeping more then just their art alive in his fighting.

What are your Character's ambitions?: Meta seeks to spread the words and teachings of his father, to ensure that his wishes would not die with him. Not caring for the personal riches of the world he also keeps an eye out for the man who had destroyed what he remembers, and to seek the one who had vanished from his childhood.

What is your character’s favorite tool?: Sword

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Meta is both skilled in his ability to both predict and prepare for combat. He is often prepped to engage and disengage foes with a hertiage style of swordsmanship that focuses on quick and endless combo of blows to bring down foes. He also has a refinement for the learning of blacksmith, having to often make minute repairs to his weapon and gear.

Other Information about your Character: Meta has an unnatural fear of pigs that will cause him to lock up and run in fear if one was to approach him. Also due to much solitude from other creature's his social skills are very undeveloped and he often will misuse common languages that most other creature's assume other's know.

Open-Response-Questions

Each and every question must be answered with a minimum of a single full paragraph and entirely in RP.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

The sun was dimming in the distance as Meta found his path once again leading to the ill-named Cloud Temple. He had never felt welcomed here, though it never had occurred to him that it was due to his often times very short visits. This time was no more different as he came to collect the wool he needed to refit his gear, and then promptly leave without a single interaction he did not find necessary. Today on the forutnate side for his interest was not going to be the case.

The ruffled sounds of pain of a creature were heard off in the distance, and Meta was the first to come onto the strange scene of two armed warriors forcefully handling a small creature that he had never laid his eyes on. Interest in more of the what then the situation, Meta walked up to the warriors who noticed that they were no longer alone. Both of them were rather brawly figures, and the first thing Meta gathered from their shared apperance was of sibling and ill-wits. Foolish is the one who uses power for gain

"Now wat do we have ere?" The slightly more larger of the two, though it was the difference of comparing two great oaks together, snared and spat in the direction of the strange haired stranger. He had already sized him up, but noticing the sword on his hip he figured the kid was nothing more then just some want to be squire or young wannabe. "Ain't nothing for ya here kid...Just teaching dis little ma-"

"Never offer an opening to your foe, they will strike with the fatal blow." Meta hadn't wasted a moment in stepping forward forcefully off his left leg, pivoting his body so he was able to withdraw his sword and twist his hip all in the same forceful motion. The contact was flat ended, and was used more for bullying force then to actually leave a mark on his target. The man crumpled to the side, his expression surprised as he fell silently and quitely to the floor, not a mark of true drawn blood on either body.

Meta wasn't impressed by the show as the warrior hadn't even offered a guard up to the situation. He had never cared for the weak who would let themselves be pushed around, but as he prepared his guard to the now slowing angering warrior left remaining, he never cared to let others misuse their powers.

The last warrior yelled his protest as he leaped forward, his body strong and his swing mighty as he brought it crashing down where Meta stood. If you cannot strike with speed, you shall never hit to win. Meta coldly thought as he sidestepped the slow strike, and quickly followed with a quick up-swing to the man's hand, disarming him without an effort as he brought his knee up with the momentium the swing genetrated, and drove it straight into the unprotected flesh that the warrior had left unguarded. Crippled and out of breath the warrior dropped to the ground, before another heavy weighted blow hit him against his temple, and knocked him to the floor.

"T-thank you..." The halfing whispered as he saw the blue haired kid already moving away, stopping for a moment as he turns his head around and shakes his head annoyed.

"To be pushed around by another, is to have weakness. If you cannot stand for yourself, your own beliefs are weakened."

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Meta hear's the strange calling of a voice, and turned to it's origin to notice a well dressed man offering various objects of different assortments. Back at home it had always been a take and take procedure, but here in the world of creatures it was often times a bantering of useless gestures to get what one wanted. His eyes drifted onto the table with uninterest, before finally he caught the same particular wool he used for his jacket. Noticing the various holes that had been made through the wear of time, he tried to grab one before the merchant's voice called to him again.

"The wool..." Meta said simply, pointing at it and then simply taking it off the table. The man who had been wearing a smile of pose and stature was now obviously dumbstruck by the actions. Meta on the other hand almost seemed at ease as he took out of his pockets a few of the findings of his trip, with none of them being worthwhile for a merchant in the city.

"Money! I have no use for these..." The merchant stopped as his face turned into disgust at the objects and then looked back at the blue haired warrior, "objects, I must implore you to return what you take, or else be arrested for thievery."

Meta tilted his head at the last word, or rather the entire context. He had never heard of the word before, and many of the words confused him. "Munny? Arrested...? Thievery?"

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

The sun had fallen and the wilderness was no mercy for the weakness of the living creatures. Monster's begun their travels among the land, and Meta while versed in the art of slaying such simple creatures did not care to include it more then needed when supplies were low. Having pushed himself far in his travels for infomation he know found a strange hut settled deep in the woods, the exterior was caving in upon itself, but it still seemed sturdy enough to last a time being. Checking behind him for any creature's wishing him harm he edged himself slowly into the building and pushed at the rotting wooden door to find only one thing remaining in the room.

It was a chest, containing a few iron bars and a strange golden material sword. Meta's eyes glanced down to his own hammered iron sword and the ingots of metal that were similar. "Easy to repair with..." He whispered to himself as he took the ingots and found them of good sturdy quality. Then it came to the strange golden colored one, it was already crafted into the shape of a weapon, and when Meta tested the edging of the blade he found it sharp and good. "But..." He whispered suddenly as he took the sword and hammered it heavily against the floor, shattering it easily and with disappointment. "A weapon that cannot stay useful, is not useful. The objects of civilization have no use in the wilds.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

Meta, noting no hostilities are offered by the small trading camp thanked his fortunes that the people were kind hearts and the supplies so available. He was quick to return the greetings, although his speech caused a few of the traders to grin in a unspoken joke. "Good morrow, or is it good eve, I thank you good fellows for treating me with the kindness you offer. If I may ask of assitance in my travels to the land of the Cloud Temple, and of supplies you may spare I offer my hand and my blade."

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

Noting the increasing number of creature's that preyed on those who could not defend themselves Meta was the first to gather with the town guard, already drawing attention for his usual glares and stares of his strangely colored hair. The town guard was the first to offer his hand to the stranger, noting the twitches in the body's responses from this single advance. Meta had watched every muscle in his arm as it travled, wanted to study it's intentions, and was ready to leap back if anything became of it. Noting it's harmless intentions he shook it in return, glad at the knowledge of this interaction when he looks out at the road, noting how much emptier it was now of the usual travel into the city. "No reward will suffice, then the practicing of my skills against those who believe of their inferior strength."

Anything else you would like to say?: When creating the Meta of this world I wanted to direct a character who is more outside of the global loop of events, easily to meld and mold into the events he may get himself pulled into. Without much interaction with the other races besides his few encounters he is freed from the assumptions (Both good and bad) of any race, and could be quick to make beliefs based on what he sees and not what others see. His heritage in a land both taken over and now ruled by the new Empire of Humans could be the base of both a desire to take revenge for his home and his family, or to strengthen his ties to his own heritage even in post statues. With both a talent for living on his own is great for traveling, his interactions with everyday people open up a lot of communication options and simply saying the wrong thing to the wrong person.

Hopefully he'll have his sword handy to defend himself with, and to pray that there is no pigs around.
