The Paragons!

This is The paragons religion, or sometimes called: paragonism. we believe that Urguan is the father of all the dwarves, and his word is law. we don't believe in the so called gods and their followers, but we do respect them.

Paragon Urguan:

“The Father”

Symbol: The mountain

Alignment: Lawful Neutral

Portfolio: Ruler of all Paragons

Known as the first dwarf and father of all dwarves. He defeated Iblees with the help of Malin, Krug and Horen. the first dwarven city is built by him and named after him and. Kal’Urguan was the capital of the Dwarven kingdom until its destruction back in Aegis. Urguan is also known for his greed and his lust for war, what is the basic thing for a dwarf. he settled a home for many, and his children started clans, which enlarged his family. he is the greatest Dwarf ever known and was also the first paragon.

Paragon Yudora:

Symbol: Runic symbol for Water

Alignment: Neutral

Portfolio: Paragon of Birth

Mother of Urguan’s sons, and paragon of Birth. This woman was the first mother of the dwarven kin and the first female dwarf. Some say she was the only person Urguan ever feared, even in all his might and glory. She fought like a beast and drank like a monster... she was the most respected female dwarf of her time.

Paragon Urir Ireheart:

“Bane of the Undead”

Symbol: Runic symbol for Fire

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Portfolio: The Paragon of Sacrifice

The destroyer of the Undead scourge. Nearing the end of times in Aegis, a group of brave warriors ventured into the Nether to have one final strike against the undead. Urir was of this group, fighting his way into the undead taint. At the end of the journey into the nether, Urir reached the legendary Axe of Krug. This was the only thing keeping the Undead to this world. Sacrificing everything, Urir grabbed the Axe and cast himself into the infernal pit of lava, not knowing if his soul would even pass on to the next. Such a great act of selflessness ascended this dwarf to a godly paragon.

Paragon Kjell Ireheart:

“Dragon Slayer”

Symbol: an Obsidian sword.

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Portfolio: Paragon of Killing

Or the Paragon of Dragon Slaying, Kjell has slain six Dragons thus far known as the black scaled sons of the evil Daemon Iblees. Kjell also lead the Dwarves into was again and conquered Alras, which created the Dwarven Empire, with Kjell as the First dwarven Emperor. Kjell is also known as an orc slayer, the best orc slayer. some say he sleeps on his “Carpets” and only wears carpets.

Paragon Bogrin Braveaxe:

“Master of the Axe”

Symbol: A single, double-edged Axe

Alignment: Chaotic good

Portfolio: Paragon of War

Father of the Braveaxes, one of the sons of Urguan and the Paragon for the Braveaxes, now Grandaxes. Bogrin was one of the first Dwarves who fought with an axe and he was known for his fierce aggression on the battlefield. He is also known as the first axe master, what also gave him his name.

Paragon Dwain Irongut:

“Master of Food and Forge”

Symbol: Blue Cup with a Pickaxe

Alignment: Lawful Neutral

Portfolio: Paragon of the Forge

Father of the Ironguts, known for his eating, drinking habit, and his love of mining and smithing. Some family show his love for food, one is of course King Algrim the Fat. Dwain was rumored to be married to a Anguel. His children and those after them are known to have the blood of gods within them. Dwain lived a full life full of merriment and a bit of riches. Dwain used a blade when he fought and it was called Mourgil. His current remains and sword are with his Great-Grandson Hiebe Irongut.

Paragon Tungdil Goldhand:

“the First Merchant”

Portfolio: Paragon of prosperity

Father of the Goldhands, he was one of the first dwarves who realised that he could sell his belongings to others to get rich. because of this he is sometimes known as the Paragon of Merchants, this is discussed under different clan members.

((i didnt agree with the other dwarven religion, so i posted this one. i worked with bazian, hogarth and some other on it ((i dont know their names :/)) and i think this could/should be the other religion. i dont want to create any hate on my or the other post, but i would like some rp hate :P a bit like the christians with their religion.))

((I'm perfectly fine with this, but what don't you like about the other one? It uses the paragons and they have ascended to godship because of their deeds and bravery. They are gods, just minor gods. And this is almost the exact thing from Arbreks post. There's just no patron and the bio changed the slightly on a few. Just wanted to know what you don't like about the other one.))

((well first arbrek got this post from bazian and has mostly agreed with it, i agreed with it too because i worked on it myself. what i didnt like is the god thing, it doesnt make sence... when we came to asulon we started to believe in these gods... how? you dont change you religion because some runes were carved on a wall in karik. the dwarves believed in Paragons, dwarves who gained so much glory people started to see them as gods. they excisted and are part of the Acient lore and most of the dwarven lore. the gods just flew in the lore, without any reason. when thorik was working on these gods, he had an amazing plan. we came to asulon and all the gods were waiting for us, their voice made the mountains rumble. they told us things and then they flew away. that was the plan for the new gods, but it was never finished, instead we just made a post on the forums... the paragons instead were rp'd i believe Hiebe started with Urguan as a paragon and wanted to continue with it. i just dont think it makes rp sence at all... i also dont like all the extras on it, with the iron mask and so on... i think only a bischop or how we call it works...))

((I think there should always have been a few that had believed in the gods and then they found proof that their visions of these great beings that guided our race to greatness. They had always done so in secret, as their influence had not been as strong in Aegis because heir shrines and old cities were in Asulon. The gods source of power was the belief of their followers. In Aegis not many knew of them because, there were few texts or records of them. When they were moved to Asulon, some dwarves were guided to the runes, the gods influence was stronger here and they had more sway, when the tunes were uncovered they told the stories of the gods and how the paragons were welcomed into their halls and worshiped as minor gods. Now that more are believing the truth of the gods, their influence is stronger and they are able to intervene more easily. I think that explains it pretty well, I could go into detail but I'm tired and my thumbs hurt.))

((that is a possible, but who? there are almost no poeple who lived in aegis long enough to learn about these gods, in rp atleast. and aegis is destroyed, most old folks are dead, if you want to do it in legit rp it will be Hard... but i dont care how you want to do it, if it is just rp))
